Just phoned Lloyds and spoke to someone sensible, she even offered me a BT on a card that only has £300 available on it.
Estimated interest on Lloyds is now down to £43.03 she tells me this wont be due if I clear by 2nd December, I have then been offered 0% for 6 months or 4.9% for 12 months, Roll on 2nd december.
This means I could possibly get interest under £600 not something I think I should be getting excited about but i am.MARCH 2016 DEBT £25750/ £25035

I got made redundant in November 2009 and by January 2010 we wouldnt have been able to make the minimum payments knew we had to do something, luckily I got another job in January & DH got a promotion and I vowed then we would never get in that position again. 10 months on if I lost my job again at least we cover all payment, hopefully in another 10 months we will have even more choices open to us.

These things are usually a blessing in disguise.
My friends mum owed the indentical amount as me and I realised that if I carried on the way I was by the time I reached her age I would owe double at least.
Even looking at my credit card with over £10k on it wasn't enough to flick the switch, crazy!
We made over 1000 people redundant across our Group and it's reassuring to know that any job now, cleaning, working in Macdonalds, whatever would be enough to cover my minimum payments as they are now.

I'm so pleased it happend and every month I love looking at how far I/ we have come. I cant wait to hand DH all the cc bills with NIL balance he doesnt really pay any attention, his wages go into our joint account and he buys petrol/cigs and a little bit of cash but rarely mentions money. If I can make it for xmas 2011 I may wrap up all the cc statements for him to open on xmas morning. I guess I should put in Jan 2010 ones in with it so he can see what we have done in 2 years.MARCH 2016 DEBT £25750/ £25035

I think you should put the statements in from Jan 2010, that would really bring home the reality of just how much you've achieved.

I woud have been in a similar situation if I had lost my job a few years ago.
My LBM was partly caused by a rejection for a loan which I was going to use to pay off my credit card. Knowing me back then I would have spent back up on the credit card had I got the loan.
The real booster for me was 4 months after my LBM, when I managed to shift £3500 off my Egg card, to a 0% for 16 months Virgin card. I was even more glad I never got that loan then.
Now I know if I lost my job, I could manage to live just fine for at least 6 months, nearer to a year, if I really lived like a monk.0 -

It's been freezing here as well, I really need to start doing more than walking the dog for 20 minutes a day but I can't run as I have dodgy knees and everything else costs money!
