Short and sweet - looks fine to me, couldn't have worded it better myself! But I would change "as per your terms & conditions" to "as per section J5 your terms & conditions".

Yes you should be IF you signed up for them ALL at the same time as that would be one contract.

I'm on the S(mall) BB service but that is not listed at all. Anyone have any info on whether this will be going up?

Received an email from Virgin on Thursday;-

I have just received the following from Virgin, (below beginning;- "
Some important changes".......), now I am on ADSL on a legacy plan,(bundle 3), which is costing me £9.99 a month for 3Gb download, 3Mb speed, inclusive evening & weekend phone calls.
Now to suddenly go to £12.99 is a 30% increase,(what recession?)!

So I called them and requested my MAC, their response is as follows, which I think is a good result;-

"
I have altered you package to:

Unlimited download Broadband with up to 8Mb speeds

Free evening and weekend calls to UK Landlines.

£10 per month

This is a special offer to keep you as a customer and will run for 12 months.

After the 12 months it would increase to £14.99 but you can renegotiate it 12 months time and see if there is an equivalent or better offer at that point.

Many thanks for staying with Virgin your customer is very valuable to us.

Kind regards, Duncan."

We’re writing to let you know about some changes to your service.

The first thing to tell you is that the cost of your broadband is increasing. Starting from 8th of March 2010, the new cost will be £12.99 a month. When we make changes of this kind, we always like to give you at least 30 days notice, so you’ll see the new monthly cost on your bill over the next few months.

Go faster with up to 8Mb broadband!
The good news is that we are giving you up to 8Mb broadband (instead of 1Mb). That means you could enjoy speeds that are up to 8 times faster than your current connection, letting you surf, stream, download and browse quicker than before. To find out how click here.

• Hey Folks!

Was SO interested by this post!

Although i've experienced no problems with my Virgin broadband [L] or phone line [Wkend free] since i moved into my house 7mnths ago, i do find them very pricey!

I've been paying £25 maybe a bit more a mnth due to phone calls. I've just been on the blower the virgin, find out how these price rises are going to affect me.

First of all i was offered a reduction to £21.94 if i started a new 12mnth contract. So i declined.
Then i was offered a non-contractual obligation reduction to £24.49, and this wouldn't be affected by a rise in the price for the rest of the 5mnths left in my contract.

So......for the sake of 51p, i accepted!! To be honest, the price rise would hardly affect me, otherwise i would have just cancelled but the sake of pence i was a bit too embarassed to! :rotfl:

Something is better than nothing init?!

Hi,

The BB & TV I have had for a long time, the new contract I have taken is for a phone line. Though these show on the same bill?

I am sending my letter today recorded, I will report back when I know whats happening.

My monthly BB is going to go up by 50p, but I don't want to tie into another contract (I've had my service for about 16 months now) so I guess I'm just going to swallow it.... all just to retain the right to cancel whenever.

It's a shame that my home is so far from a BT exchange it's difficult to get more than 2Mbps out of ADSL (this is what my neighbour gets), this is what's tying me to VM cable BB and not any contract.

You might be able to get more from an LLU operator such as O2/Be - perhaps check and see?
