I'm sooooo pleased for you!! Been following this thread as we have our own 'visitor' and I'll never cease to be amazed at how far the little monsters go ;) so will follow your example and advertise further abroad.
Silly question though, is Jack neutered? Unspayed females make a lot of noise in season, could be why she's come back hoarse.

Oh so glad to hear that! Just popped onto pets forum to get an update.
Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
    And we were young.

  • She's definitely neutered. I've still got the pictures of her with a big cone round her head from the operation.

I think she was trapped in somewhere. Her whiskers are all bent like she's been stuck in a funny position. We've also noticed her nose is very sore like she's been rubbing or pushing against something continually. The bottom of her paws are also a bit sore (although not cut and we only noticed because she doesn't like people touching them). She also has a particular smell. I can't put my finger on what it is but its a sort of engine/road/dirt smell.

Anyway, the intrepid explorer seems back to her old self and is eating us out of house and home.
  • So glad she's back :)

Make sure you give her loads of extra cuddles to make up for the ones she has missed out on.
Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)

    That is brilliant news :j:j:j:j:j:j

You might find she'll be very clingy and nervous for a while but she will get over that, I'm sure. Extra cuddles for her, and give her a hug from me too
