Hi just wondered if anyone can help but i want to start credit card charges reclaim from LPF but noticed they were to do with Barclaycard so i dont know what address to send my first letter to
Thanks in advance for any help
This thread is to discuss the MSE article on reclaiming bank charges (link in the OP)
You are attempting to reclaim credit card charges. That is a different MSE guide which can be found here:
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/credit-card-charges
There's a discussion thread /sticky on that article that can be found here:

I recently (last month) went overdrawn unauthorised for i think 2 or 3 days and incurred a £55 charge from LloydsTSB, I've banked with thme for 16 years, have a great track record with them, is there any way i can reclaim that fee, as it was my first offence?
And if i can, how do i go about it? Phone and ask, what if they say no, will i have anything to barter with?0 -

Your best bet would be to repay the amount borrowed (if not already done so) and contact the bank and explain the situation. They will often consider a goodwill gesture credit equal to the value of the charges in such circumstances...If you’re reading this after a one-off recent bank charge, just call up the bank and see if it’ll wipe it. This guide is aimed and those who’ve had a number of charges over a longer period...."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Recently I went overdraft over the agreed limit. A few days later, a direct debit was withdrew, and another in the same week. HSBC charged £25 for each incident and charged my account £75 within a week. Is HSBC allowed to do this?0

Probably. What is making you think otherwise?
If you just consider it to be unfair, you'll need to prove this allegation in court; only a judge can decide that.
The only other thing I could add is that under their fair fees policy, they shouldn't charge you for the first arrangement they agree to within 6 months (but you don't say if you have had any previous arrangements agreed within the last 6 months).
If you think this should apply to you and hasn't been granted, contact the bank who I am sure will correct the error if they agree with you.
Can't think why you are doubting the subsequent two arrangement fees though. If you give us a pointer, I'm sure someone will look further into it for you"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Well Lloyds are quite severe but it is in their T&C for unauthorised OD, I'd suggest you were OD on a few items for a few days hence the huge fee.
You have nothing to barter with apart from 16 years banking and a *clean record*.
Everyone else gets hit with this if they go OD unauthorised so why not you?!
Highly unlikely they'll reimburse you, just put up with it.0 -

This will change from December where the total charge would be £25 for a similar occurence (being made up of 2x£10 daily charges plus £5 monthly fee)"Now to trolling as a concept. .... I was wondering if someone could help me with a problem.
I have just returned from working away and opened a lot of post that shows £10 charges for transferring money from my Belgian account IN TO my Alliance and Leicester account here in the UK.
I already pay a transaction fee to my Belgian account holders, and I don't understand how A&L can charge me for crediting my account.
I think that these fees are completely unfair , and I was looking for some advice on how to claim back these charges, and wondering if anyone has already had a similar problem solved.
Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere, I haven't checked the whole forum!
Thanks,

I would suggest you refer to your terms and conditions/fees tariff and if you still cannot find why you have been charged, refer to your bank who I am sure will explain why they have charged you so that you will know how to avoid such fees in future"Now to trolling as a concept. ....
