Wrote a letter to Halifax as per the template letter and mentioned hardship . Halifax refusing to pay out any money for Bank charges . So followed the advise on here and sent them a second letter more detailed and their reply - not budging !
Anyone else having same situation with Halifax !!

    How did they reply?
Did you send them an income and expenditure form?

Recently claimed over £k from the RBS under hardship got a letter back today stating they feel we are not in hardship as there is enough money to cover outgoings, they have obviously missed the constant consolidating and the fact we have had to have pre payment meters for gas & electric put in because of debts dont know whether to pursue this or just give up

    Any advice ??

There is only just enough today to cover the outgoings but over the past few years we have lived off credit cards and then consolidated and now have loans and struggling to pay

Any credit card charges to reclaim?
Is there any room to lower your outgoings?

Credit card charges is definitely worth looking at if you haven't already.
Is there anyway of getting a second job to increase you income? (that is what I do currently. 2 jobs, no social life, lol, value stuff and overpay on loans to get rid of them).
Was there any PPI on the loans and were you eligible for all the cover?
