Well they ws part of the mothers day sale so possibly, but they wasnt ever full price for long tbh :) From what ive read so far its really quite informative.

Btw ladies.. A what do you think question.
I;ve just been invited to a Radley Launch party for the shoes. And there isnt many branches going to be stocking these shoes. I've had a look and there quite expensive, but im wondering does anybody think it'd be a worthwhile thing, to buy a couple of pairs and sell them on Ebay. Does anybody think theres any profit to be had?

  • I'm not sure about that NGlady, could be a bit risky and you could make a loss.

I agree with VNMS about the shoes - you could end up making a loss (unless you put them on buy it now, so if they didn't sell, you could return them maybe?)

I've just got back from my 7-hour shopathon :o I returned some shoes for £12... and spent a lot more. I forgot my shopping vouchers so had to pay cash for everything when I could have used them up  Annoying.

Anglea is dead right about us seeking the thrill of a purchase, rather than actually needing stuff. At least, that's how it works for me. I came home feeling a little... 'flat' when I looked at most of what I've bought.

Oh my god - 7 hours of shopping. Bliss!! I wish my mum was as into shopping as yours after about an hour she wants dinner, then about an hour more and she wants to go home lol

Yep - you ever done that where you buy stuff all day. Then on the way home, you think about what you've brought and you couldnt actually name every item :S And can't remember what every item looks like?

Is this a party where you go in person or online? If it was in person you could go and network, never know what kinds of connections you could make. There might even be some sort of freebies or food.

Completelylost - are you tired after all that shopping?

NGlady - you had a nice day - are you drinking the wine yet?

What do you all think of Victoria Beckham's line of clothes? I can't believe the prices of some of them.

If you want some basic psychology of why people are spendaholics read "Games people play" by Eric Berne. It is a bit old, my copy was 65p new!
Like alcoholism, people are only "cured" if they want to be cured and it is a lifelong problem which has to be faced and overcome every day.

I studied Marx at Uni and the way we shop now is a commodity festish, its the thrill of the buying that's important not the item and onc ewe have it the thrill is short lived :o

My mum could shop all day. She is just better at walking away from things - I'm not. She is a bad influence too!

And yep, I've done that. I bought something today and completely forgot about it until about 5-minutes ago when I went in the carrier bag :o

I am! My mum is more enthusiastic than me... though she never bought anything, she just exchanged something for a different size.

We were traipsing through Asda at 5.30pm (shops were all closed) on our way to the car and she was like 'let's have a look in George before we go' _pale_ LOL. I was carrying a fair few bags though, so maybe that's why my legs felt as though they were going to give way!

I'm not sure about Victoria Beckham's clothing, but I have heard that the jeans are very good quality and fit -- but so they should be for the price.

NGlady, no to the shoes! And I've got both Gok books too as pressies! They're good. Hope you're okay tonight.

Day off today so stayed in and gutted my house, cooked, meal planned etc then went out for a cheap meal with a friend tonight. It was fab.
