Hi, ya...
it was a big spent day for me yesterday.. went to the Clinique accounter and the lady told me about my skin.. she tried to sell me products for £91.. i kindly said no.
i came online, find out that all what she tried to sell me shouldnt be used all together ( she tried to sell me the 3 step thingy and 3 products to treat redness-but one was not in stock... total £91)..
tried debenhams online to have a look.. managed to get the 3 products for £56 (the items were reduced) delivery included.plus a free gift ( 1 lipstick.1 gloss and mascara)if they have it in stock, hopefully they will.
I am happy, i liked the way the products she tried on my face, ( redness solutions) made me feel... this is the first time i spent so much on 3 products.. but let's hope it works... i will have to stop looking at the body shop glitches and i will beable afford these with no problems :rotfl:Mejor morir de pie que vivir toda una vida de rodillas.0 -
Oh YAY you've found something you like on your skin Morocha
I think a lot of us need to get into your mind set, stop the £2 or £3 here and there on glitches and things we "musst have" (Anybody else feel they need to carry something around in a shopping centre to feel involved :S ) and buy investment purchases. Learning to be 'good with money'0 -
(Anybody else feel they need to carry something around in a shopping centre to feel involved :S )
I feel really guilty if I spend time looking around and then don't buy something. I feel like I've wasted their time. Plus I get this nagging fear that they think I'm shopping lifting
(I've never shop lifted in my life so I don't know why I'm so paranoid about people thinking that)0 -
Yes I get that paranoier, in the shops local to me, there quite small. So I worry, if I go look in quite often they will think im a shoplifter, or somebody who cant afford there stuff and look down at me. Im bad to the point, if i look at something, then want to go back and have another look at it the same shopping trip i worry that there staring at me

me too, i feel the same... this lady had all the products ready for me to give her my card and pay for it. I couldnt, first i needed to read reviews and think if it was ok to spend that kind of money.
i had redness for 4 years, since i moved to the UK. And i knew i needed something, but creams seems so expensive.. that i kinda always thought.. "this one is cheaper and will work".
I could not believe it when she put the cream in my face and i had a red cheek and the other one so not red !... i thought i really need this, stop being cheap for once in my life hahahhaha.
I am glad i finally boufht a cleanser, a cream and a green based spf cream for my redness... a little bit will go a long way ... and hopefully my skin will improved.Mejor morir de pie que vivir toda una vida de rodillas.0 -
Yep exactly morocha, a large investment at first but if it lasts say 6 months, thats only about £2.30 a week, so if your in love with the product, loose a magazine/chockie bar a week and put the money into a tin, come end of product life if you still love it, it wont be an outlay again

Hi girls,
Morocha, I'm glad you found a cheaper way of getting the same products - plus the freebies!
Why we don't buy investment items - Imagine the scene - buying 3 good quality expensive items instead of 30 misfits
We'd be desperate to buy something after five minutes as we probably miss all the dramas and excitement of browsing, choosing, changing our minds, comparing prices, thrill of taking it home.
I think the addiction is the actual act of shopping, not whatever we are buying.0 -
Morocha - I definitely think it's worth paying a bit extra for something you love, rather than buying lots of cheaper products that are just 'ok'. I got some Clinique anti-redness makeup base in a swap and I LOVE it. I think I will be purchasing it once I have finished this tube.
Which reminds me, I have a ton of Clinique minis to list on ebay. I've been looking to see how much people are selling them for, and some are going for crazy prices (these are things I got for free with a purchase).0 -
yes, Clinique is quality.
In debehams the SPF cream is £13 i think, and the cleanser £12, cheaper than on ebay. I checked them on ebay too.
if you buy products for more than £22 i think you get £5 voucher in your beauty card and the clinique freebies ( so bought 3 products for £50( counting Quidco aswell, next time if i need more spf cream, that will cost only £7)... i am NOT trying to sell items to you, i am just trying to help if you need to buy new ones as they can be expensive.:)
I will stop being cheap with my face and buy what i need., the same counts with clothes, good fit and quality instead of hundreds of cheaper products/clothes.Mejor morir de pie que vivir toda una vida de rodillas.0
