  • I found that too with e-bay, CL. It was very rare that I received something that fit well and that looked good on. I don't buy clothes on ebay now.

It's the same for me. Actually thinking about it, out of all the things I wear, I think only a couple of them have been bought 2nd hand online. Everything else ends up being resold.

Things like makeup and jewellery are ok for buying online (so long as I know the shade of makeup) but I'm definitely going to think a lot more about clothes/shoes.

    Afternoon girls,

Hi Little Chicken :) welcome to the coop!

Could be an end of an era then, if you all stop buying those clothes online.

I had some food shopping today, no idea what I bought that was so heavy so decided not to go into all the normal shops - this set up a 'impulse' craving that was really strong and I had a very big urge to buy a family sized coconut sponge all for myself. :rotfl:

Luckily I didn't give in, but in the health shop later I could not resist buying yoghurt covered banana chips - OMG they are so addictive. After the first one I have to finish off the bag. Anyone else like them?

Swapping for things is fine, but paying for them is a different story. It's fine if they're from an online shop with a returns policy, but with 2nd hand stuff it's hard to tell the condition just from the photo and description :(

Anyway! Yoghurt-coated banana chips sound lovely. I like yoghurt-coated raisins... I find the yoghurty coating tastes a bit like white chocolate (which I love). At least the ones I've tried did.

I'm still not properly dressed - still in my dressing gown as it's absolutely freezing here, with messy birds-nest style hair :o I've just washed it and let it dry naturally (always a bad idea) so am going to straighten it now and make myself look more human!

Yes I put the heating on 30 over night on thurs, forgot to turn it off for 12 hours, my dads going to do a nuts when they get back off hol with the gas bill so ive put myself on a ban of no heating until tonight :O Hopefully that will counteract 12hours over 30 instead of 48 hours of it on say 10/15 :S lol.
Well iv done my hair for the last hour and ive got as far as brushing it, I give up today, least im not going out tonight going to be having a pig out in front of Casulty, is it me or are they putting casulty on later and later nowadays :(

    Hi,

So I'm the only one liking the banana. I tried the yoghurt raisins and other fruits but didn't like them at all - they taste very different to me than the banana ones.

Casualty - yes, it is later and always seems to clash with something.

As you're both mentioning hair - I've had a 'bad hair week' :) I know that last Sunday when I went out for the day (after I'd dyed and cut it the night before) it looked really good. But Monday onwards I could have done with a hat!

I've had a similar sort of hair week, Anglea. I've had to wash my hair three times today to get it into a manageable state. I think the conditioner I'd used first time around had coated my hair in something, and it took another two washed to get the damn stuff out!

I wish I was confident enough to wear a hat. I quite like those knitted beanie-type hats, saw a lovely brown one in New Look a while ago but didn't buy it, as I knew I'd never wear it.

NGlady, I don't read back to front. I tend to jump straight to the 'I slept with my husband's second cousin twice removed who turned out to be his long lost twin brother' :D before reading the rest of the mag.

(and I cannot believe I just admitted that)

No, but I read newspaper from the back because the football is the best bit :D

Hats - What you've got to realise about some of those woolly hats around now is that you look ok when you try them on at home, but by the time you've reached your destination, they rise up and you end up looking like a gnome :rotfl:

I bought another woolly one recently when the weather was bitter and snowing, it's stripey and looked good on the rack (famous last words). I asked the shopkeeper to cut off the labels as I wanted to wear it home. So the next time I was about to go out, I put it on and looked in the mirror! Awful.. Those colours looked terrible on me. Not sure if I'll ever wear it again.

Another bad thing about hats - they are murder on your hair. They can flatten it or make it look greasy.

Completelylost, I think if you found the right colour, you would feel confident with it.
