Morocha, sorry to hear that - can you get your money back?
Completelylost - you enjoy your shopping expeditions, don't youRe your love life. I think if you had a couple of really positive experiences with men then your outlook would change about yourself.
Being overcharged - I often question a bill as it's so easy for mistakes to be made. I bet you were annoyed. The worst one is asking for cashback in the supermarket and they forget - you have to be 'on guard' all the time.
Shopping - well..........I am in desperate need of new skirts so bought 2. However.........they didn't exactly fit - waist too big, snug on the hips but I know next week I can lose a few pounds, get a belt for the waist and (hopefully) they will be ok. They were a real bargain what can I say! No, they were. There's a charity shop where I live that's has brand new designer (often for only £1 ) mixed up with tat, it's like a jumble sale. I wasn't fortunate in picking any £1 items today, but still only paid a fiver.
Just hope they don't add to the misfit rail at home and I actually wear them.0 -
no, anglea.. there is nothing i can do about it, i am not protected by paypal cos this guy is foreign... his address was unconfirmed and he did not want to pay the extra for recorded delivery... he had +400 positive feedbacks so i sent it to him.. 4 weeks later he claimed he did not received the item... which i do not believe.. he has done this to many others.. as i can see in his feedback.. anyway.. will put this down to experience and move on.... cos this whole thing still makes me a bit sick.
hope your skit fit you better next weekwish i have that charity shop next to me...

Hi lovely ladies. Just caught up on the thread and wanted to add my tuppenceworth! I am the complete opposite to you lot i.e I genuinely don't think people are looking at me or that bothered by what I'm doing, I assume they're all just living their own lives and so I always dress up for myself. I am and probably always will be single. I love sex and flirting but hate what I see as the boredom and hassle of relationships (know not everyone's is like this so not a criticism, just saying what works for me). I do the online thing to meet guys for fun and I really enjoy it. I do often feel like a man compared to other women as I have no interest in relationships or having kids but am very feminine and love to socialise and spend time with friends.
Whoever talked about Nigella, you're right she's amazing. Trinny and Suzannah's Body Shape Bible has some fab advice on making the most of your figure and not hiding it. I'm happy with myself and always have been, even though I've gone from a 6 to a 12 in the last decade. I'm 5'0 with 34DD bust and size 3 feet.
Velocity Girl, congrats!
Love reading this thread and reading about all your purchases ladies. I'd love to buy more clothes but spend my cash on getting out and about instead.'The road to a friends house is never long'0 -

well, that's the sad bit.. i was doing quite well... i was £1300 in debt and now i am £636 all for ebaying since january... but this big mistake ate a lot of my money. i am not in trouble.. my bank acc is ok.. and i was paying everything quite fast... all i know for sure it is... i will never send to an unconfirmed address and will always send items abroad with a tracking number... i think i was kind of happy everything going so well.. did not think that such scammers were all around.. will have to keep my eyes open...
Souk... i bet if there are any men reading this thread many will ask you out..Mejor morir de pie que vivir toda una vida de rodillas.0 -
LOL! Lots of guys are terrified to be honest but that suits me as it keeps all the drippy ones away. Many times a guy has emailed and seemed nice but when I've been dead honest and said just fun, no hassle, no dragging each other round supermarkets to look at toilet roll etc they don't want to know! Fine for me though, am always honest about what i want and it's all good.'The road to a friends house is never long'0

Hi all
I don't know if I should mention this but on the Santa thread someone mentioned a site where you buy well known brands at rock bottom prices - they got a couple of skirts for 1 pence each!! And you just pay for postage. It's on a site called Bargain Crazy. I've just taken a look and they do South for about £2.99.

If its the same clothes that are in the shops, surely it's a way to cut down on expenses?0 -
NGlady, it's funny isn't it!'The road to a friends house is never long'0
