  • Hope you're feeling better today, Andrea. Is it that pesky cold that's going around?

Yep, I ordered three pairs BUT I'm 100% sure that I'm returning two once I decide which I like best. that's if they actually fit!!!

I've just listed two dresses, two tops, one pair of jeans and a pair of brand new shoes on ebay. I'm going to list some more tomorrow as I'm tired now... I've found one more pair of shoes that I'm willing to part with this time, so they'll go on ebay tomorrow along with a few other bits.

I have been rather lazy this evening in regards to Ebay! :( I've listed about 3 tops, only because I had the pictures on my computer already lol.
Have all of those jeans to list tomorrow... and I have promised myself to get rid of three pairs of shoes, 3 handbags and 3 dresses... wonder if thatll happen in the end lol.

    Hi Completelylost,

I haven't got a cold, but a bad headache and mouth probs, I think it could be a reaction to all those cakes I've been scoffing as years ago I had problems with sugar - it made my mouth feel like I'd swallowed a pepper pot!. I've got that now.. Haven't had any cakes since Sunday although I keep making myself pancakes. Yep, not a good idea either but just fancied something sweet each day. Today I watched myself pouring on the sugar and wondered what on earth am I doing? :(

So you don't plan on keeping all the boots then. And you are very pro-active with selling your unwanted things. So I'll let you off this time LOL

I'm not a fan of Radley either. I think they're boring, no offence to anyone who likes them :o One of my mum's friends loves it though... but she is mid-50s and very old fashioned, so I guess I associate them with old ladies. But yeah, I can just imagine all the idiots paying megabucks for them on ebay!!

Good luck with ebay tomorrow, you better get your skates on if you're going to list all those jeans :D

I have now found a third pair of shoes I'm willing to part with. I listed one pair already and they have a bid! So yay. I also have a top I bought from Debenhams for £40 :o:o:o that I'm going to try and list tomorrow... not sure what price to start it at though. It was such a waste of money :( I also have a gorgeous leather Topshop bag that I've never used either but I don't know what to do with that one as I do love it... but maybe not enough, as I never wear it.

Yes I can see what you mean with the Radleys being old fashioned a lot of them. I had one for my 21st birthday, and there is a couple I really like, but there isnt lots I do. I have a gorgeous pink radley purse though :)

I know... I guess im just going to take a pick of each colour and list them like that lol. That will take a morning to do.

I have a £30 faith voucher so im trying to raise the other £15 I need for some shoes I really like :) I think it would be an achievement to raise the money through ebay :)

Oh no, that sounds rubbish :( I don't know what to suggest about sugar, because I quit eating all things sugary about a year ago. But as I've said before, I'm the same with crisps and it's a b*gger to stop. I used to eat a full 100g bar of fruit n nut chocolate in one sitting, I was terrible. But now I've stopped I find that everything tastes super sweet so I need very little to satisfy a craving. I do still have the odd sly ginger biccie with my cuppa on a morning.

When I do eat anything sugary in excess, literally 10-minutes later I have hives the size of 10p pieces all over my face, which then scab over and look disgusting... hence why I stay well away from anything sugary)! As awful as it sounds, I stopped for vanity reasons rather than because it was bad for my insides :o I should have known better really as diabetes runs in my family.

But yeah, I think that's why I am always eating crisps now... I have to get my junkfood fix somehow.

Ooh actually some of those shoes aren't as bad as I was imagining (I hadn't seen them until just now) - the heels are alright, but the sandals are quite old lady-ish :o I can see my mum's friend in them... on the other hand, my mum wouldn't touch them with a 10ft bargepole.

I can understand why people like them - they're cute and they're more like a collectable than a fashion thing. But nah, they're not really my cuppa tea. Each to their own!

I think that's a great idea about raising the extra funds from selling old stuff. At least you'll feel like you've recycled your old stuff to buy them :) That's what I'm doing at the moment... hoping the stuff I sell next weekend will cover the cost of the boots I bought today.

    Hi CompletelyLost

Hives and scabs from sweet things? That's a bad reaction. No wonder you managed to cut right down although I can understand why you said for vanity reasons not health. That seems to be an easier way to stop than for our own wellbeing in a lot of cases..

I'm allergic to chocolate and wine and a few other things that cause mega headaches, joint pain, stomach upsets and exhaustion so I never touch them because I can't face getting so ill again. Yet with other foods that have a smaller reaction e.g. sugar, I tend to chance my luck!

At least there is one advantage to the burning mouth - I daren't eat crisps.:)

Good Luck everyone with your listings and hope you get lots of money in return.
What are you all going to do with the cash you receive dare I ask?
  • Going to list some shoes on ebay later when OH home to help me upload photos. Have ordered more shoes from Evans sale on Grabbit board:o. In my defence I do find it hard to find nice shoes as I take a wide fit.

Well, in the spirit of putting all my change in my money tin, i didnt have any change for my bus and I was home alone, so I had to batter my can opener money tin as the tin opener wasnt strong enough for it and has concequently gone to can opener heaven.
Quite impressed though, in 3 weeks of saving my bits nd bobs ive saved £50!
