Nixx think you have to get into the mind logic that 2/3yrs ago it did cost £100 but its only as "worth" as what you would get on Ebay for it now. But completely see your point, i have size 12 (im a size 16 now) dresses from my proms that i wont throw away due to the value but ill never wear em again lol.

    hi ya,
how did your day go ?

I am ok, did not go to the shops today !!!... instead went for a walk with DD and MIL.. then to the supermarket to get some shopping done, i only bought things that i need.
I am proud of myself... i think being here, and writting what i do every day is helping me to be more balance and not to shop ( much)... tomorrow is swimming day, so no shops and friday is cleaning day.. so i am sorted for another week of no shopping :d
i do go shopping saturdays but only for a short time cos DH doesnt like to be there for too long and i always come back empty handed that's why i like doing it during the week...

Something for mothers day Hamper £5.

So did end up borrowing £1.30 from Mum (lol)

Tomorrow im going out with a good friend for lunch and a wonder round the bridal shops, so shall allow myself a £20 day. However I shall have to have a NSD the next day.

I am finding that this is helping me budget to have a daily allowance lol.

  • Afternoon,

NGlady: hope you enjoy your day out with friend :)
velocity.girl: good on you for decluttering. I have a dvd player that works perfectly and noone I know wants it... wonder if a freecycler might? hmmm.
morocha: well done for not spending on anything unnecessary :T

Ugh, today I got carried away today and bought some boots in the online sale from Barratts as my local never has anything in my size. Total spend - £37.54 after cashback. I ordered three pairs, I'll return at least one or maybe two of them (just want to see which colour I suit the best).

I really need to go to the PO to post my half of a Big Wardrobe swap and one ebay parcel. Also received a nail polish in the post today (one I ordered weeks ago)... really nice colour, only cost me £3 which came out of my ebay sale funds.

Anyway I better get a move on as I'm not even dressed and it's 2pm.
  • Spent quite a bit in Asda home and the pound shop on bits and pieces for the house, ect. Took back a Tshirt but then spent the money on a scarf and gloves as it was so cold!

Well i've had a lovely (tiring) day...
We did walk round the wedding sections of some shops, ad walked round the house of fraser/debenhams/John lewis beauty section. In house of fraser we had a makeover on the bear minerals section (free :D)
I forgot that I had treated my friend to coffee last time we met, so she insisted on paying for Dinner in weatherspoons - what a bargain, two nicely sized meals one coffee one coke cost her eight quid! :)
I spent on bus fares etc :)
    Total spend £9
Very pleased thought id end up spending so much more :) and it was still a good long day out :)

I've just got in and am now listing stuff on ebay as if my life depended on it! I am determined to make back the money spent on the boots (though it'll probably only be £12 as I am only keeping one pair).

Also swapping a few things on BW so am excited about receiving them :)

Sounds like you had a lovely day, NGlady. And yay for the free makeover - I've always wanted to let the makeup artists loose on my face, but I'm always too anxious, worrying that everyone in the shop will be looking at me. Silly really!

Hi all. enjoyed reading your updates, I didn't post yesterday even though I read, was feeling rough.

Charity shop browsing - was tempted by an beautiful silk and cashmere black Autograph top - a sort of blouse and jumper combined but reminded myself in time that black doesn't suit me! Then found a right bargain - £1.99 for a cash box which I needed. Heavy to carry home. Nothing else bought so far this week.

Reading the posts about cashpoints, I never get money out at them as I have a fear of my card disappearing in the hole (as happens to some people) so only use the supermarket cashback. However, most days I don't get cashback anymore and if I do, only £10. It used to be £50 a day at one stage!

NGLady - I'm glad you were treated to your dinner, shame it didn't include bus fares.

CompletelyLost - 3 pairs of boots???

I'm getting jealous of velocity girl and all that decluttering she must have done :) I can get rid of mags and things for the re-cycling bins but nothing else.
