FR, try the word 'reach' to find your brush.

All I've done is the washng up and a lot of thinking..

I don't get that- is this like a visualisation thing?
And what is it you're pondering on Anglea? New year stuff?;)

My internet is soooooooooooooooo slow tonight.
Everytime I try to mkae a post, it loses the connection.

I too am feeling bogged down with clutter, so Anglea and Frog, you are not alone. I spent today trying to get rid of some stuff - mainly notes from various courses I've done over the years. I have about 30 folders, god knows why I keep them as they take up so much space. I've also found some books to sell.
Glad you found one of your brushes, FR. Wish I could say the same about the £50 that I took out of my purse (don't like carrying a lot of cash) and "hid" so well that even I don't know where it is!!!

Feels like I've spent the past couple of days falling over -- literally. On my way into town yesterday I slipped on some ice (weirdly there was no ice anywhere else?!) and fell onto a concrete path. My shoulder is absolutely aching, and my elbow is purple.

Then I fell UP the stairs when I got back... and then to top it all off, I tripped and fell in my bedroom, landing on the same bits that were hurt from my earlier fall!!!

Funnily enough, I recall falling over at exactly the same time last year... It seems to be a new year ritual.

I was about the answer your question Ziggle but will have to return - just took a huge swig of tea leaves at the bottom of my cup

CL - you sound like me where ice is concerned and then to fall on the path and stairs too - ouch. Hope you feel better soon.

I have found a cupboard to store some boxes of books in - but it has meant that the hoover is in a wardrobe in my bedroom and my stepper is now in the ensuite of my spare bedroom.

I also have under my bed spare sheets and table cloths handed down from my mother and grandmother. I'm sure some will never see the light of day, but you don't get cotton sheets like that these days! Mad or what. And that's only in 2 boxes, I have 8 boxes in total under there.

    Hi girls

CL, I'm sorry to hear about all your mishaps lately, hope you feel better VERY SOON.

Re the lost money, this might sound weird, try saying the word REACH out loud a few times. Or OBTAIN NOW.

Ziggles, it's not visualization, they are switchwords.

Nothing psychic, new age or anything like that. It's a psychological technique.

They certainly work for me, you normally have to try different ones to see which have the biggest impact for whatever circumstance you need them for.

FR when DS2 was a baby I had to bring in cotton sheets to the hospital because of their harsh laundry, as he couldn't be dressed or have nappies because he blistered.

So I used sheets from family that were about 100 years old and still in really good condition..So I do understand why you're keeping yours..

Expecting these in the post soon- looking at them they look very similar- hopefully they look good- not sure about quality or even how they'll look. Just need something to graduate to from the one i'm wearing now in a month or so.

  • Hi ladies,

internet is finally up to speed - don't know what was to blame.
Anyway, my dorothyperkins order arrived today, and I haven't even opened it yet. In fact I haven't even gotten dressed today... bad.

ziggles I like both of the wigs, the style and colour of the second one is my favourite.
My natural hair is so hard to manage (dad had an affro when he was young, though my mother has straight european hair, so I got a mix of the two), I feel it'd be nice to just stick a wig on when I can't be bothered with it. But it's having the confidence to wear one - I'd constantly be worrying about it falling off, or people commenting on it.

As for falling over - I'm forever falling, ice or no ice, so i've kind of gotten used to it, but three in a row is even excessive for me. I sprained my ankle falling down the stairs a few years ago, but that's the worst I've done. I dread being old and frail as I think I'll permanently being in plaster :o

I feel you on the natural hair thing CL- even though mine is nowhere near as tightly curled as others. And since i chopped it all off- that in between just wild and almost able to style is just too much for my untrained hands to manage.
The wigs arrived today- OMG- the more gingery one is VERY orange!!!! It's so not me but it does look kinda nice so i might keep it for outings. The darker one was my second choice too but that one is more wearable on a daily basis for 2 months or so then i'll get another one that's a little longer.

Dad's cooked guinea fowl for tea- smells a bit gamey but i'm sure it'll taste just like chicken! Phoned me specially to come over- never happens!
