  • Evening,

These are the earrings - originally fell in lust when I saw them in HOF in the summer. Love rose gold. TBF they're not even worth the sale price, but that doesn't stop me wanting them. I just can't justify spending that on earrings... unless I win the lottery.

I went out today and didn't spend a thing. This is becoming a regular occurence for me...

Ziggles, glad someone else feels my pain when it comes to phoning. Though I could not handle a job where I had to use the phone, so bravo to you.

Wednesday I'm going to the dentist. Another dread, but I haven't been for over a year (bad... but prior to my last dental nightmare, I hadn't been for 5 years, so overall a year isn't bad going for me!) Hope it will just be a checkup and nothing else needed.

The earrings are absolutely lovely- but me and the monster agree they are expensive even for gold!
I am afraid of the dentist too- i huff a bottle of rescue remedy and have the runs for hours before my appointment- even kalms don't help!
then they give me a condescending lecture- yeah like that'll help :-*

Perhaps I am the only one who doesn't mind going to the dentist

When I bought my previous house with my last partner, it was the dentists' house that I had gone to as a child. The dentists had bought the detached property next door some years before

Our smallest bedroom was where I used to have my treatment in and the bedroom I slept in was the one where I remember hearing screams in - honestly - from when I used to go. But he was the horrid dentist - I went to the nice one!

    Hi girls

I really like the earrings but would have to see them in real life to judge how much I'd pay.

Wish you hadn't mentioned the dentist. I have a toothache, need a filing done, couple of weeks time.

Years ago I never had anaesthetic as I had a phobia of the needle so used self hypnosis.

That was strange FR, buying your old dentist's.

    Hi FE :)

Your posts about the tree was the push I needed to take it down, thanks :j

Hoping to see ex housemate sometime soon for help to box the tree up and put it back on the shelf in the wardrobe. He's never here when I need him!

Still, he's promised to look after me when I'm old (the way I'm feeling that will be next week) except he also talked about emigrating to Australia in the future. Something doesn't quite add up here! lol

  • The earrings are much prettier in real life. My mum said they're not worth it either though. I don't really deserve a treat for making the calls anyway, as they should've been dealt with over a month ago! :/

Sorry for mentioning dentist. I too will be on the Kalms on wednesday... and no doubt he will ask why I've ignored the last two 6-monthly checkup letters. Ahh well.

Anglea have you got your appointment booked for the dentist?

Frog, your tale of the dentist's house sent shivers down my spine. I had a bad experience on the first time I ever went to the dentist, and had one recently too. I won't say what happened. But both put me off dentists for life...

Sorry Cl, didn't mean to scare you.

My new apartment is much better - I call it the Butterfly apartment, as you might have noticed. It has little past, being a new build - I think I was just the second owner.
