That must be annoying.
What about your guitar man - can he help?0 -

No, guitar man is not practical like that. I think he might have helped to cause the problem by not scraping the plates well and overloading it!
However, I emptied it out and he handwashed the contents and it is now running an intensive wash on empty and tomorrow I will get some cleaner and dishwasher salt and will see how that goes.
He has just this minute gone home as he is working tomorrow and did not have his work things with him. He has been here all day again. But as he left he said I am good company, so that was nice. Not Rachmaninov

Hi all
NGlady lovely to see you back
Hope you enjoyed yourself on your hols.
Are you shopping for your wedding outfit, or do you already have one?0 -
Welcome back NGlady- I love it when the 'fun' season goes on after the hols. It keeps you in an upbeat mood looking forward to events!
Anglea- i would never ask for a pic...i am photo-phobic (well just a teeny bit) as i always think i look very different in my head and the alien looking back at me is somehow never gorgeous enough. I find mirrors are MUCH kinder!:D
Frogletina- i wish i had a non-boyfriend like that. I used to have one ages ago who'd call me at 3am to go ad have a drink and stuff. I loved him soo much (as a brother) although everyone thought we were doing the nasty together! This even carried on once i went overseas. Sadly he is not with us anymore and i miss him so much.:(
The move has gone ok though the lady changed her mind to a 3 month contract with the month on month rolling one after that- made me a bit uneasy but now that i've made the first move i can do a rolling stone thing now! No worries!!
On other man related news- I went to have a coffee with a guy i had a thing with a couple of years ago and he seemed very keen. I do find him attractive (he's put on a bit of weight since i saw him a year ago though!) but i find it mildly annoying that he assumes i'm available (which i am except for the FWB who has put me on hold:mad:)! I like to be asked...what girl doesn't. Unfinished business is always not a good idea.Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heavenMatthew 5:30 -
Hi all
Ziggles that must be sad for you about that friend you had in the past.
So with this house contract you might have to move after 3 months if the owner wants?
I bet men don't have the photo phobias like us ladies.
Relationships these days seem to be complicated, with all these FWB's and old flames. At least NGlady finally has found love.
I felt sick yesterday. I was having such a lovely time yesterday afternoon, at one point I was with ex and him mum all squashed up on a garden seat in their garden (they have the most fantastic location imaginable) and we were looking over the views, sun shining, wildlife, could see for miles. Ironic, that he's divorcing me0 -

I really feel for you Anglea. It must seem unreal at times like that. I know I look back sometimes and wonder how did it all go wrong? My ex partner still cares for me, he just couldn't do the couple thing any longer, wanted to be free. I was only the other day thinking of the time he had been to see me and I just clung to him and cried. Thankfully I have got over that stage now.Not Rachmaninov

Thanks Frogletina.
It is hard when the person you really like or love has different goals in life. Do you still see your ex much?
I stayed in today as I wanted to try and have a good think and come to terms with what is happening. I'm still confused about it all and this solicitor issue is getting on my nerves, can't find anyone suitable.
Well 11pm and I'm still confused and now I've got a headache
For any of you thinking about love - I don't agree with that quotation 'it's better to have loved and lost than never have loved at all'.
I think that to be rejected by someone you really love or to be in love with someone and they love you but you can never be together is very very painful and it can totally screw you up.
And that's apart from the maternal love you get for children which can cause even greater pain.
Hark at me, what a killjoy :rotfl:0 -
Evening ladies...
Ahhh Anglea, your killjoy comment made me laughAs I was just coming on here to say what a negative frame of mind I've been in for the past week or so... though my feelings are for no apparent reason. At least yours are justified. Your situation sounds quite sad, especially as it seems like quite an amicable split. I would think that if you hated each other it would be a lot easier as you'd be glad to see the divorce papers come through (but what do I know!)
NG, glad to see you're back and that you under-spent! :T Hope you enjoyed your hols and you've got a nice tan?
Frogletina - it's always the case that everything breaks at once! I can imagine your frustration with the built-in appliances... our large oven has been broken for about three years but we're waiting to get a whole new kitchen as it seems pointless getting a new oven when the kitchen is so shabby.0 -
Hi all
CL I'm glad you posted as I was going to ask you why you haven't because I knew that you'd been reading.0
