Most of my stuff is either going out stuff
or im dieting to he able to fit again, its always the dresses etc that appeal to me, never the sensible shirts for work, nice functional skirts etc..
Hair will only cost £10 - cos it wont be being dyed etc, its just going to be curled and maybe styled up a little, I do have very very thick hair though so dare say ill b in the hair chair for a good 45 minutes!! hair dressers always hate styling mine cos they dont make as much money cos of the time required lol.0 -
Woke up in a panic this morning
I'd been to this talk about romantic stories and gave some details of my life to this woman to write one for me. She said it would cost 2.99 and that the previous woman gave her £5 and told her to keep the change. I though, I'm not doing that and gave her 3 ten pound notes, thinking she'd only have a penny over the cost!
Then I walked away later realising what I had done and that she hadn't even asked for my address!
Good grief - even my dreams are affected now. I dread to think what I told her about my life (((blushes)))Not Rachmaninov

Hi all
You're lucky where you live NG. It's very expensive in my area.
I heard a funny story from a friend where her neighbour, an elderly man, went in to one of our salons to ask if they could do his wife's hair and how much. Hearing the price he said 'I wanted a hairdo not to buy the place'!!!
Froglatina. You paid someone to write a story using one of your experiences. Was the idea so you could then sell it to a magazine? And you accidentally gave her far too much but didn't leave your contact details. Is this what happened?
As someone who used to do a lot of writing, I've never heard of anyone charging only 2.99 for anything, so wondering what exactly it was all about.0 -
Oh Anglea
Perhaps I didn't explain it well enough - it really was a dream!

:rotfl:
I blame NG getting me all confused reading about her returns.
Today I spent just under £6 (must remember to write it up) and went to Gregs to buy a baguette and Doritos, then in the green grocers bought a mega sized flap jack, this is because I left the house forgetting to eat lunch. However I didn't feel like eating it and decided to eat it for tea because I didn't have anything to cook. It wasn't until I got home that I realised I had already planned something to cook. I'm going mad0 -
Anglea, how much would it cost in your area? £10 is quite pricey round here for it, its normally about £8 lol.0
-
OMG £8, I don't think you'd even get a hairclip for that price LOL
I can't stand the way hairdressers ask questions as soon as you sit down. It feels like the inquisition instead of a relaxing experience. So I cut and style my own hair. So I haven't been for years, but do remember the last time there wasn't much change from £50 and I think I only had something very basic done!!
As I said before, you need money round here.
Guess what I just ate? A large tin of cold beans.Anyone else like them?

Hi
I like beans... but not cold ones. My nan likes them like that, though. The texture and coldness doesn't appeal to me :S
Also, all this talk of trivets and I don't have a clue what they even are. But yes, Frogletina's sensible spends do put mine & NG's to shame. Though I haven't bought much these past couple of days... just paid postage for some ebay sales & spent the odd £1 here & there. BHS's jewellery sale was really good - lots of nice 50p jewellery (which I didn't really need, but for 50p I couldn't leave it).
Maybe not as sensible as I should be, but at least I'm only spending 50p and not £30 on stuff like I used to. I see this as progress...0 -
Anglea - I have to say I am now keeping a eye on you and ur eating
Nope cant say I like cold beans. Mine have to be super pipeing hot, when eating beans on toast I often have to leave some cos theyve gone cooler.
Well... I have to say I think me and refunds are a little tierd now. Ive figured a way of returning something, and using a voucher ive got buying it for £3 instead of £13 along side some other refunds, but I have to say for a tenner I can not be bothered. OMG - did I just say that?!0 -
But think of it this way, NG... £10 = 1.5-ish hour's pay (at minimum wage anyway). I
That £10's better in your pocket than theirs! Just my opinion though.0
