Bluejeans, it's really good to learn that you have been so good lately :T well done.
There isn't a BM anywhere near me so I can't take you up on your offer.0 -
Well ladies i would like to report that i DID got to DP despite leaving my card at home...(had petrol money handed over this morning:D) I looked and could not find a thing. I even went next door to new look and failed to find one darn thing! So there! Despite my best efforts at sabotaging myself i failed..typical:p

Poor Ziggles
I empathise, I haven't bought any clothes for months as can't find anything.0 -
I'm sad that this thread had all but died
Just thought I'd pop in to say "hello" and find out how you're all doing. I've had an odd couple of months - things are bad with my health, but I'm waiting to see someone now. Funny how money doesn't matter at all when you're feeling shoddy. None of my clothes fit as I've lost 2-stone (! not by choice) so am currently wearing 14yr old sister's clothing and a few cheapie bits that I've picked up. I did buy a rather beautiful bag for £70 but I think I deserved it.0 -
Hi CL
Many hugs about everything that has been happening to you lately. I know that you had wanted to lose some weight, but not this way or so much. That's a rotten thing to happen to you. Are you back at college or are you staying home now? I hope that you can get the appointment you need.
I had been wondering about you after BB finished because I think that had been the reason you were away from us for some of the time.
I'm glad that you have found something really nice for yourself like that bag.
It's not the same here since NGlady got her new man0 -
Hi Anglea,
I never got to see the final Celeb BB as I was preoccupied with other things, but oh wellI had been staying with a relative so didn't have a pc for a while, but now I'm home again. I've put on 2lbs recently... is it sad that this makes me happy? I never thought I'd be happy to put on weight. I didn't make it to college this term unfortunately, so will start again in January.
The funny thing about the weight loss is that my feet have also shrunk, so I have no trouble getting shoes and boots to fit. I bought some sparkly pumps from Debenhams last week and also some ankle boots (£10 from a cheap shop but I saw exactly the same boots in River Island for £30).
Where is NG??? It's not like her to be quiet. I guess she's probably busy now with her new man, new jobs, etc. Good for her though
How are things with you, Anglea?0 -
Hello all - hows everybody?
Where on earth has this summer actually gone? Cant believe we're getting back to the cold evenings again, maybe and hopefully this thread will pick up again
CL- Im sorry to hear about your poor health hon, hope it picks up for you soon. And yes you deserve your treats, whats your lovely leather handbag like?
Well me and DEman are going really well... we was talking about moving in together last nightwont be until mid next year. Yesterday I went to birmingham, god its lovely place! I went in Selfridges and unlike the one in London I felt so comfortable in the Birmingham one, I felt like a fish out of water in the London one, I cant believe they called it "street fashion" the usual ranges such as Oasis/topshop/warehouse etc lol. I had an amazing italian hot chocolate yesterday was so thick and yummy!!
Iam sat in bed at the moment warming up as Im so cold watching "the only way is esex"
Whose started their xms shopping?Learning to be 'good with money'0 -
Well i suppose i'd better do my bit to help revive the energy on this thread- you're all so lovely please don't go:)!
i do hope everyone is well and really busy- bringing light and love to the world of course (not shopping!)
Hi CL- i hope you get the right help you need when you do see someone. In the meantime- be good to yourself.
I am currently avoiding doing all my Sunday cleaning and primping and preening as i felt a bit sick this afternoon so had a nap/sleep and have woken up feeling carppy- not sick just carppy:(
I may have to get up and wash my hair as i don't think i can do anything even vaguely respectable with it in the alloted 3 minutes in the morning- [STRIKE]maybe i'll just shave it all off- a la Alek Wek- even if i am like 10 times her size.[/STRIKE] Actually i might just blow dry it after a quick wash (heat is verboten here) for further ease in the a.m. (refer to previous post about daily 10 minute fight with hairbrush)Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heavenMatthew 5:30 -
Hi all
Ziggles, you still struggling with your hair? Join the clubI still haven't made peace with mine.
NGlady I noticed you didn't list the 'damage' this time on your shopping trip LOL so the London one makes you feel uncomfortable then? Do you know why, in comparison to the other one?
Oh my goodness, moving in conversations, he must be special :T will there be enough room for your wardrobes I wonder??
What do you think of that Essex show? I was bought up in Essex so thought I'd have a look, but have to admit I was cringing a lot so doubt I'll 'dare' look again
CL, I'm so glad you are posting again. That was strange about your feet, I wonder what's going to happen about all those lovely boots you bought (in different colours!!)?
I have to admit that without you talking about running, my fitness has slipped up and I've become quite lazy0 -
Hi all, thanks for the well wishes.
I hate all the waiting involved with the nhs... and can't help but worry that the problem will be worse by the time I get to see someone. All I want is the reassurance that there isn't anything sinister going on - which noone seems to be able to give me just now.
NG: awww I'm glad things are going well with DEman, he sounds like a keeper. I've never ever been to Selfridges, I would love to though. My bag is big and fluffy - not everyone's cup of tea, but I like it and it goes with everything.
Anglea, my boots still fit me but I have to wear thick socks with them. It's free listing on ebay this weekend so I was thinking of selling my old 'big' clothes and making a little money back. It seems like a waste for them to just be sitting there, unused.
I saw a beautiful coat and bag in Next but not sure whether to get them. I really need a coat (I don't have a single coat that fits - I keep wearing hoodies and lots of layers but it's just too cold now to do that) but really don't need another bag... hmmm!
So, what have you all been up to this weekend? SA hasn't posted in a while, I hope she is ok.
edit - as for xmas shopping... I'm v much a last minute person. Not that I have many people to buy for, just my nan really as the rest of us don't really bother :S I like buying my mum little things throughout the year instead. Guess we're weird like that!0
