  • Super duper busy.

Returned 2 jackets so got £120 back which was much needed because I am shelling out for a new laptop and software and voice recorder for uni and trying to still save!!

Sold something to Cash Converters for £12. Selling my laptop to them on Thursday...or to CEX, whoever offers me more money; I have a feeling it may be Cash Converters though as it's a bit battered looking (still works fine though). I expect a minimum of £30 for it but not that fussed as I want rid and it's old and cost me £379 originally and is rather crap.

Just need to get a new job to get some more hours (aka money). So broke!!

FE are you still a supervisor in that shop?

    How is everyone getting on?

I still work there, yes but am not a supervisor; I went for that position but ended up as a sales assistant.

Really broke now though as I got a new laptop, all in one printer, voice recorder and various items of software and accessories for my course; I wanted to upgrade the computer and voice recorder I was given through being disabled, and so I've shelled out a few hundred on top. The new stuff is coming in a week's time; the laptop retails at £750 on Amazon!!

Also had a massive spree in M&S on reduced food last night...got half a duck for £3 which is my favourite meat....had to go back in to deactivate the alarm though which was embarrassing.:o

Once I have bought my passport and one final piece of software I need, that'll be it for now and time to start being frugal.:(

    Hi All

quiet on here, hope you're all well. Life in the land of ziggles is busy and fraught with the usual nonsense- tell me, does one ever get to the stage where they can ignore/overcome stress causers in their life- and how much medication/alcohol/prayer/meditation does it take???:p

    Managed to do 3, 4 and 5
i am not doing a list this week as i really need all the time i have to try and get through the week. Got a nice weekend planned so looking forward to that:j

    Hi all

FE, crikey all your computer bits are expensive

Ziggles, re stress. From my experience no matter what happens you need to ask yourself what you are feeling and face your fears then look for a solution. I think stress develops when we avoid our feelings or convince ourselves that the problems we are experiencing are something completely different then go off on tangents trying to solve them. So the original problem never goes away.

What are you doing this weekend?

I've carried on with my challenge and it's started to make a difference as lots of yukky chores and appointments are being done. I have bought some more books :) but am still getting rid of stuff too.

    Hi all

Hope you're all enjoying life and that's why you're not posting.

I'm still 'letting go' of stuff daily, mainly my perfectionistic tendencies that stop me from doing things, as well as making appointments etc that I put off.

Slowly books are creeping their way back indoors :( but I have realised that they are books I really want, as opposed to the ones I had before that weren't really suitable.

I'd really like that have my whole house like that - filled with things that are really useful and I can enjoy rather than just gather dust and fill space.

Welcome Bluejeans and hi everyone else!
Just back from weekend away! It was great, so nice to get some fresh air. Today i feel good and hopeful that things are really changing and for the better. i have been feeling this way more often lately and the bad days are fewere and less severe!
i spent a bit this weekend but within budget and i got some nice slouchy boots that are PUrrfect!!! They fit my fat calves and look great are almost flat and are soo comfy and will look great with skirts and stuff. today i even tried on a dress! Haha- i own 3, one of which has never been worn!
Well folks. this week i have no plan at all just the usual day to day business of living.
Have a great week and hope you're all OK.

P.s. Anglea well done on learning to 'let go' of perfectionist tendencies. That is one of the hardest things to do.

    Hi all

Ziggles, lovely that you had a good weekend and that you bought some boots that feel comfie and you enjoy wearing.

Have to admit, I don't remember the last time I wore a dress - what was the one you tried on like?

Welcome Bluejeans to our group. To help with your procrastination, eating and spending you could join the challenge I started a while back where we 'let go of one thing a day'.

Examples of what I've done - take a bag of stuff to the charity shop, or avoid eating something that I like, or work on an activity that normally causes procrastination or fear, have a NSD day, keep the kitchen clear etc.

If it's only for one day at a time, it usually seems do-able :)

    Why not join in.

Hey Ladies - dont think i've been on here since mid-september :) Hows everybody doing?

I'm doing pretty well - me and Deman are still going really strong, and I had the pleasure of telling an ex who was trying to worm his way back into my life that I have completely moved on. Why do men think its OK to dump you, but expect you to just be hanging around waiting for them when they decide actually you was a fantastic girl )

I have started my xmas shopping - done a fair amount of this. I have set myself a £150 budget this year for four kids, 7 adults, two parents. On paper this doesnt seem very dooable, but you know when you start looking in the grabbit section and you start googling for bargains, its extremely do able.

I started my driving again on Saturday, Deman helped me do it... so im insured on his car now. I fell in love with being behind the wheel again. I have a very expensive day coming up saturday, we're off to London for the day to do some xmas shopping, bit of winter shopping and some last bits for my holiday but after that I am getting very serious about driving again, its an essential around here.

So hows everybody else? I don't log on as much anymore, purely because I dont use my laptop and my netbook doesnt have my MSE password in it and I cant remember it as it was affiliated to a long gone email address. Maybe look out for DElady or something ;)

Ill pop back to say hello soon - but be warned even though I cant write, i do read ;_
