    Hi all

I've set myself a new challenge where every single day I'm going to let go of something - whether an actual item, or a way of thinking or behaving, finishing something, a yukky to-do list item etc.

Started a few days ago and so far got rid of lots of books (charity shop), magazines (recycling), other stuff to charity shop, shredded old bills.

    Anyone want to join me?

    Hi Anglea

I'll join you. I've just started to read some of my unread books and have didn't get past the first few pages on two of them - so they are going to the charity shop as well as some clothes waiting to go for ages. I keep meaning to take them, but will take some time as I've no car to transport them in - will try to make a trip each day

I like the idea of changing ways of thinking and behaving as well, could do with some help there.

  • Anglea, I have 6 whole boxes full of books I am trying to get rid of (selling them online). Every time I think of getting rid of all the older listings, I get an email saying I've just sold 1 or more of them. I have over 160 currently listed for sale at the moment!!

I do want to get rid though and next time I move house I am just going to have to give the unsold books away to charity as I can't deal with having to drag around box after box any more.

    Hi girls,

I'm glad you liked my idea and are joining in too. It will be good to read everyone's progress.

Today I need to walk to the post office with a large parcel so won't be taking anything to the charity shop, will have to find something else to do. Going to look through my to-do lists for some of those 'I can't face it' items.

NGlady - I can't believe how 'in lurve' you sound :)
  • Hi Angela, Will join the challenge. Going to take bag to charity shop today.

    Hi Verynew.

    Nice to see you again.

I've found that this challenge has changed my daily focus because I know I can't go to bed until something difficult has been done.

Good luck everyone for finding something to let go today I want to read what you did.

  • I procrasinate terribly but today after finding and reading posts on this site. I made a phone call to Mpower and reduced my monthy payment by £90, they were high as I was paying off outstanding gas and electricty accounts. Phone call was easy to do, so why I had been putting it off ?

    payments were £190 now £103

Welcome Minstrel and well done on getting that chore out of the way :)

I've got lots of necessary things to do today, but have been looking round the house for the dreaded avoidance items - lots to choose from for later.
  • Right I am now going to get my but off this computer (been here 3 hours) but I was looking for help and support, which i have found, so I will put that down as a plus lol.

I am going to make a start on my course work, I had three weeks to do it in and now only have 2 days, thats me to a T

I so hate starting things ? whats the logic behind that, as I always end up feeling more stressed that not starting it ?

good luck all on your "to do lists"
