Morocha - three years old and at school :O do you per chance mean nursery school?

Yep went on a train journey today and really enjoyed having my netbook and being able to utilise my time :) Going to get excel up and running later and start a spend challange. This month I have really skinted myself - and I dont know how ive done it. Did help mum and dad out by double board but got high commision i suspect its probably the "Oh ill buy this" or "Oh my treats" when out with Mark and I really need to curb this.

Suggested to him last week we have a "couple pot" so everything we want to do as a couple over the month has to be budged for. So if we want to go for a meal for example sat night, we dont do anything during the week to make the money last over the month. Datings expensive!

Decided if I had a less cluttered life I would probably spend less as a result? as i'd be able to see what i've got easily and not "need to get it" when ive already brought it - such as why have I got five mini hair brushes? its because I can never find it and end up buying another :O Also, why have I got a need to keep old tights? there still wearable but there bobbly on the toes - I am never going to wear them cos im funny about stuff like that, maybe one pair with boots in the winter, but I have got them still... clutter!! Instead why don't I own a couple of pairs! Think I might get rid of my clutter hopefully make a couple of bob on ebay and capsule myself.

  • Thanks NG.
I can't sell on eBay as I am banned so I'll just keep them and work my way through them all myself. As for the TV, well at the moment I live in a shared flat but there's no living room, so it's not being antisocial at all. Just love having an amazing little sanctuary with lovely gadgets!!

I have, however, managed to sell 11 books in the last 7 days via Greenmetropolis.com so am recommencing the grand declutter of them and hopefully making some money.

    Hi all

Welcome noynoy :) I can empathise with the bags of wool, I've got them too there is something really nice about buying even more.

Pinkarsenalprincess - you are officially told off about your relapse - what happened to the work trousers then? :)

morocha - what colour is the school uniform?

NGlady - you sound really excited by the netbook, nearly as much as returns :)

FE - that's rotten that the removal men have stolen off you.

    Ziggles - how are you?

Recently feeling stressed, everytime I've gone out I've bought a book or two.

Morocha, she must look lovely. Little children that age always look cute but in a uniform too..........:)

I didn't go out today so no books have ended up on the shelves at home.
  • Well, I went shopping yesterday and was a very good girl.

I'm really chuffed about one thing. M&S have started doing bigger cup sizes for the smaller backs; I'm 28 or 30 and it used to go up only to a B. So not only can I get affordable bras but I managed to get 6 for £5 in their clearance yesterday...couldn't believe my luck when out of 2 small arms of clearance lingerie, I found 6 in my size of 28DD (I also got remeasured yesterday and definitely am this size). Chuffed to bits.

Need to buy a passport and also get some passport photos.
  • Hi All
back from a weekend in the big smoke- i do like London- was a good trip on train and bus and enjoyed the not so fresh air that wasn't home! Nice to see family again too. been about 4 years since i saw most of them.
I think i did ok with the spending too as it was just all travel and got a lift too. Now to hunker down for the next month- another weekend away to Edinburgh planned for October:j
FE- well done- i like the M&S stuff but my pocket doesn't like it- mostly tesco for me- surprisingly a really good fit too.:)
Congrats on the new place- Hope you and your flatmates will be compatible- something i worry about when i move too. As for the telly i a jealous- i need one as we are switching over next month (and moving out eventually) and i have an ancient 14" with no scarts- did you get a good deal?
Anglea- how are you doing? Why so stressed? is your 'situation' not improving? I hope things settle down for you soon.:grouphug:
Morocha- Wow! In big school at 3- i never even went to nursery i cried so much- went in an illiterate 5yr old and drove mum bonkers trying to catch up in grade 1
NGlady- what a brill idea what did he say to the 'couple pot'?- I have to say that i would just suffer in silence-i do tend to do that now too though. Just agree to everything since i am 'secretly poor':o.
    Noynoy- HELLO!

    Hi all

Ziggles, you sound very happy after your trip away.

Stress-anti-social stuff. Given me a nasty shock because nothing like that ever happened before, probably pranks, but who knows. Have had to make some changes at home to counteract it so haven't felt much like being online.
