  • Decided to buy a pair of work shoes on my way into work yesterday; a pair of Clarks's finest at £54.99 but so worth it as I am on my feet for 30+ hours a week and they fit like a glove. Plus I genuinely needed them.

Not long to go til the big move; next Tuesday. Woohoo!!

PS NG, they have a KFC or Burger King in one HOSPITAL I've been to. Yes really!!!!

    Hi everyone,

CL - I never imagined you as a stuffed toy person :) Any animal in particular?

NGlady - glad you think of us as your mates on here. So you went out with Mr Derby on a date to Asda :rotfl:

Have I missed the hospital/junk food conversation - when did that start?

What always amazes me about hospitals is the people that would normally be all dressed up to the nine's yet they go outside to smoke with their backsides hanging out of those gowns, no embarassment. It wouldn't ever happen anywhere else, would it?

ziggles, sounds as though you enjoyed yourself on your night out.

I've been ever so good lately - no confessions.

    Hiya Anglea...
Don't knock the supermarket date...my boss told me all about the Sainsbury's in edinburgh frozen food department on a Friday night:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:he was warding them off with evil 'i'm married stares' lol!
As for the KFC, McD's. If they fed people properly it would help...my bro was once in and slept through tea as he was still groggy and they gave a grwon man beef sarnie...no lettuce, no sauce...nothing just bread and a slice of beef in it...reedeekulous! i was raging had to get pot noodle in shop just before it closed:eek:

As for today- i went to return Evans stuff from last week and promptly spent £17 H&M on 2 sweaters (had £5 off card) Then pumps in DottyP's then hair stuff in boots...
Then i came home to be told that my father has been telling the whole world that i refuse to leave home when he has never ever asked me to...:eek::mad: i'm soo angry i could spit:( Anyway i am now going to eat nothing but bread and water and not shop or make any more plans for fun until i leave home...
rant over I better stop befoe i relly get upset.
    Night all!

    Hi Ziggles,

I was going to suggest the naughty step after your shopping until I read that part about your dad. Did he really mean it or was it said as a joke?

LOl! Don't worry i've put myself on the naughty step.
Nope no joke about refusing to leave...he has complained to two aunts and a family friend. So definitely not a joke. I admit to being not so motivated to move (they don't know about debt) but i DO want to. It's not exactly my life's dream living them and brother!:p

    Good Morning all.
    Happy Fridayyyyy!:j:j
I am feeling worse about the home situation but refus to let it pull me backwards- spent enough time crying and moaning about it.:p
    So...some MSE advice please...
I am thinking i should suspend all 'extra' payments like the utilities (quarterly billing), car tax and service fund, Council tax (i can ask dad to pay). And put all the money that would usually go in there onto the CC cards. Just for maybe 2 months for a jump start because I NEED to fast forward/stay on plan with being out by Feb (my own plan, not imposed...yet...by he who will not be mentioned:mad:). Plus i've just goten a 0% card that i have transferred to so that helps too. (haven't even scratched pin number so i can't use it)
    what do you think?

Ziggles what happens if you move out and find it all far more expensive than you imagined, what about all the CC payments as well as all those bills that you are stopping for now? Would your dad pay your share of them all?

    Happy Sunday all!
I've been in bed all weekend except to get meals and have a bath and go to church and the shops just now. It was needed and though i haven't slept well i feel better and less p'd off than i was Friday.
I am happy to report that i managed to keep to my list and bidget for groceries today! Showing seriousness of situation.

Anglea- My plan by not paying those bills is to overpay massively on cc's. I plan to find a flat/houseshare (urgh) as there is no way i can go it alone just now. That way there are no shocks and crazy bills. Then when i have freed up more ££ (and hopefully gotten a raise;)) I can think about settling on my own for good.
I have plenty experience of bills, budgeting etc. because i do it all myself now for home. So i wouldn't expect my calculations to be massively wrong- I am by nature a researcher so nothing gets done without a lot of finding out! (even if it does end up all pete tong!:p)

    Hopefully that make sense.
Any other suggestions, devil's advocate stuff welcomed.
    thanks

    Zx
