LoL ziggles, on the subject of binges I got a bit enthusiastic with these yummy shortbreads that are made in unusual shapes. They look a bit Celtic.

Hi all
ziggles, you could have called yourself Purple Princess
Well last night I had an eating binge after midnight  and after washing my hair last night so it would be ok for this morning, discovered it's gone awful, strangest ever. So dealing with that now and have decided not to go out until late afternoon as usual. I think any men reading this will be wondering what on earth is going on LOL. I don't think I've ever heard of a man having a bad hair day.
NGlady - I blame you for starting all this off.
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Hi all,
I look hideous today, my hair is sticking to my head, it's been that long since it was washed. My skin is dry, I'm still in PJs... and I had to answer the door to the most beautiful man I ever did see. He looked like Gerard Pique! Ugh.
Anyway I got some of the stuff I ordered. Most of it looks dreadful on but I'm keeping a couple of tops. I'm gutted that the one thing I really wanted didn't fit! It's a size XL... I am now a size 12 on top and it's TOO SMALL. Seriously how do these companies work out their sizing measurements? It's almost as if they don't want anyone fat wearing their clothes (not that I am even fat now!!) Gutted.
Anglea - I don't understand the black paper thing. I think you may have mentioned it before though, and I didn't understand it then either :S0 -
Right, I've decided that's enough procrastinating from me, can't believe it's 3pm and I've done bog all... the whole house is a mess so I am going to tackle it today! I've just cleared the kitchen, wiped the tabletops, done the dishes. All it needs is hoovering.
Next stop - my room. Then the bathroom (if you could see it you would be disgusted).
Then once everything is done, I'll start on myself! :S0 -
hi girls... yesterday i was naughty... i went online and saw and ad in hotdealsuk and decided to buy what i saw !... 2 pairs of Levis for £24.95 including delivery...i know, bargain!... i need some proper jeans.... so far that is me... i think i needed to buy something before going crazy.
I have been so bored these last days, my oh is working non stop and with the bad weather i can not take the Lo anywhere... Happily tomorrow i will go to clean my nan's and i am 3 weeks away from paying her the £750 she lent me for the british citizenship, i pay her £45 per week.. which is what she pays me, so will be getting pay in September again ! yayyy... maybe that is another reason why i am not spending much.. i haven't got the money... and being surviving on what oh gives me.
i am guessing what i will do when i start receiving the £45 again....Mejor morir de pie que vivir toda una vida de rodillas.0 -
Hi all
CL before I forget - the black paper thing.
This might not work for everyone, but a lot of people find that food is unappealing if it is served on black plates, or if you use white plates on black mats, tableclothes etc. So black paper can be used instead and you can line food cupboards or put on the outside of the fridge.
I find that I have trouble drinking out of dark cups, so only use them if everything else is the house is in the dishwasher.
I would also not be able to eat from a square plate, I shudder when I see them used on Come Dine with Me.
If black is ok for you, then think about something that isn't and use that.
Poor you having a bad hair day opening the door to a tasty bloke.
That is ridiculous that your top didn't fit. I've found similar problems with underwear and have had to order hugely embarassing sizes to counteract it.
Thank you CL for not posting a photo of your bathroom- I hope it's clean now.
Moricha - I wonder how many pairs of 'its a bargain jeans' you'll buy once your money is paid off?
Well last few days I've started decorating so mind has been focused. Today I went out and spend a ridiculous amount of time in the library because every book I liked had too small print so I kept browsing and getting frustrated. Finally emerged and it was 5.30 - shops closed. So didn't spend a penny.0 -
Hi anglea, i am thinking that i proved i can survive without the money nana gives me, so what i will do is: i will pay off a credit card *£500 ( i wasn't able to over pay this because i have no extra at the moment although i was paying around £100 each month before) then i will start saving cos i want my mum to come to visit me from Argentina, which will cost me a bomb... around £850.Mejor morir de pie que vivir toda una vida de rodillas.0

Pity there's no low fat purple food...ah wait...figs...:p:D
You forgot prunes and plums!! Aubergines can be if you just cook them without oil...
Purple's my favourite colour too and I just bought a purple laundry bin today for £2 from Primark for my new room which I cannot wait to move into. I'm living in a temporary place from today til I am allowed into the permanent place and it's that bad I am asking to be moved tomorrow. Stuck with a load of incredibly rude, intimidating and loud Spanish people who've been screaming, slamming doors, leaving the front door wide open, running up and down stairs and preventing me from sleeping since I got here at lunchtime.CompletelyLost wrote: »Anyway I got some of the stuff I ordered. I know what you mean...in some shops the sizes are mad....I'm not big but in Miss Sixty, I find I need a Medium top and even then I struggle to fit in...haven't worn their clothes in years though. It's insane. Sizing is so inconsistent and irritating...
I went to try things on in Next today and was dripping with sweat in their air-con-free fitting rooms which put me off trying things on....0
