Hi all
How have you all been doing today with the shopping?
I stayed in today.
Ziggy I have ibs too, I have found that I can't eat big meals at all and could never go out for a meal in the evening. What I do find is if I eat snacks at night I find myself really hungry the next day, far more than normal.
Ziggles, if you eat from the foil container, how to you avoid washing it up before recycling?0 -
Hi FE
Don't know how you do it but i thought i'm put in my 2 cents worth;)...I use those lovely foil containers for freezing in portions. They are easier to stack in the fridge than bags and their size actually is a single serving (i weight mine out for WW). I get mine from poundland. Works a treat. And i just pull them out of freezer and into fridge in morning chuck em in the oven once i have the cardboard lid off and eat out them when done too- and hey presto meal for one- and no washing up:D
Well....I used those foil containers too today; from Home Bargains. I use these for meals I want to do in the oven (eg today's lasagne) and I use the reusable (washable) plastic pots also from Home Bargains for any microwaveable stuff such as risotto, pasta, etc. Managed to make 7 portions of lasagne; had one for dinner and froze the other 6.0 -

i refuse to let it stop me enjoying food- eating out is one of my favourite things- though obviously my waistline and coctor would disagree:o

Morning all
Me and DEMAN are going to the seaside for the day todaycan't wait after a stressful month and having to do lots of extra hours ahead of xmas I really need a day of CHILLAX and acting like a child for a couple of hours really does help hehe haha.
One thing I have discovered - and this is genuine, not an excuse. I have NO autumn clothing at all. It goes from last autumn I had just lost my job and my other money hadnt started coming in yet. So I am really struggling today with what to wear. But it'll be fine, ill get some autumn stuff soon and just make do for today.
I have IBS too - I find if I am eating anywhere unfamiliar such as a friends house its really bad. Not so bad going into restuarants though, as sorry to be crude ladies the bathroom could have just been used by anybody and nobody will know its me? thats maybe just in my head. Also too big meals doesnt do me good or meals thats too unhealthy. I am the same as you ziggles eating out, going for a bite and taking a book etc is one of my pleasures so i dont think i can give it up. If my IBS was to become so bad I had cramps constantly or something then itd be different.
Going to Manchester tomorrow - wonder if like last time I have a dream about Mman - hope not lol. Last time he painted my walls in a colour I HATE. Looking forward to getting lost by myself for a few hours not done this for ages, always been constantly with somebody which is nice cos it means me and deman are working out, but just sometimes I need to be "table for one"
Sunday is going to be spent on a MUCH NEEDED decluttering of rubbishy stuff I just don't need. Rather have less and have space for itLearning to be 'good with money'0 -
i have to confess... i have been ordering on line a lot recently !
yesterday £30 new phone from vodafone, £9.96 mandm direct( they send me a £10 off voucher) and £9.60 from Debenhams... from all of this i only have excuse for the £9.60 coat from debenhams for my little dd, she outgrown hers.
my oh is working a lot, and on top of that after work have been doing a lot of extra cars. i think cos i am at home and bored i have been doing online shopping but yesterday i went into town but did not buy anything. dont know what to do... i know i didnt spend a lot of money but £50 it is a lot! i think i will re sell the bits i bought from mandm direct on Ebay and the phone will keep:D.Mejor morir de pie que vivir toda una vida de rodillas.0 -

Why don't you look at the Special Occasions forum - plenty going on there with people in your situation and you won't have a minute to yourself before long

I've been using the Santa challenges thread for many years and it's been a good motivator for getting all my birthdays and Christmas organised.0 -
Scroll down to the 3rd video, its a news segment about shopaholics in America. There are 2 parts to this film so wait a while when the first part ends as the next part will begin. It's mainly about one woman, her closets and her love of a particular store - she even get's to star in their tv advert because she's so well known in that town.
The second part of the film give ideas why people get addicted.

For many years for me it's not been about clothes, but books. Although I do have many brand new clothes with tags in the cupboards.
Today, I decided to take a carrier of books to the charity shop and decided that everytime I leave the house, I'm going to take something with me to give away. Minimalism here I come!0 -

Hi all
I've set myself a new challenge where every single day I'm going to let go of something - whether an actual item, or a way of thinking or behaving, finishing something, a yukky to-do list item etc.
Started a few days ago and so far got rid of lots of books (charity shop), magazines (recycling), other stuff to charity shop, shredded old bills.
Anyone want to join me?0 -
