    Another handbag addict here tooooooooo

Well I've not been good but I've been writing down all my spends in my diary so I can see what I'm spending.

Someone taught be how to make fabric boxes which meant a fabric spend and then decided I needed some more books!!!!!!!!

I've decided next month I'm going to give myself some written rules on spends two I've come up with so far are no clothes and one book only next month (I'm hoping this will mean I will think about which one I really want before I buy)

Tyzer - Sorry to hear about you fell off the wagon but at least you have now thought about the fact that you could have bought that bag that's a good thing.

Haven't had time to read all the posts just this page and my daughter has now woke up!!!!! So I'm off to get her.

Angela, Not normally to be honest im more of a handbag queen than a purse queen and never normally buy the two together. Shall be returning the Handbag this week as i've decided I really don't need it :D

Being Allergic to chocolate - my uttermost sympathy to you lol.

Tyzer, I know its not much sympathy now, but as TLB says at least your now giving it more thought than before. Like any addiction, you are going to have weak moments where you will surcumb to your addiction. Is there any free sites that appeal to you? Or is that just completely against the idea of giving up? My thought path was if its free when you have a weak moment it wouldn't be as bad? Sorry if thats a daft idea!

Morocha, well thankgawd that they are honouring it :D

    CL - yummy!!

I was woken up this morning by the bin lorry going in its funny voice "This vechicle is reversing" argh! And then I got back to sleep and the blue box bottle men came, argh!!!

    Hey Ladies,

    NEW WEEK NEW START!!!

Last week was totally horrendous, I'm not going to even go into it, two spending sprees (got lots to take back) and lots of takeaways etc ::(:o

To be fair I've had a pretty rough couple of weeks, but things are looking up to I'm going to try and spend as little as possible this week, hopefully no more than £20 (mon-fri).

Have already spent £4.40 today on lunch and cobs for the rest of the weeks packed lunches. I have £4.83 left in my purse which I am going to use after work to buy essential groceries so I don't need anything else this week, so hopefully I'll have a few NSD's *Fingers Crossed*

NGLady: I think if you have a voucher for a returned item it should not be included in your spends as it should have already been included in your previous spends. For example if you bought a dress last Tuesday it would have been included in Tuesday's spends, so if you took the dress back on Wednesday got a voucher and used that the following Monday you wouldn't need to class it as a spend...does that make sense?? Also I have 'The other side of the Story' By Marion Keys and it's one of my favourite books ever. :)

Morocha: Well done on sorting the holiday!

Angela: What is a 'face the finances conversation'?

Hope your all having a nice day so far...:)

Good - I find something like this REALLY puts my faith back into travel companies, dont you?

On another note, I need to try and raise £60 with No spend days - my juicy roots are coming out to say hello :(

    Hi all

I didn't have anything much to report NGlady. I'm on 'financial conversation alert'
I still share a joint ac with ex (long story in another thread) he was panicking the other night on the phone wondering if anything untoward had happened as the balance was much lower than he expected. And he's coming round in the week to discuss it and look at the statements.

LadyV - so you've had a bit of a shopping binge have you? Was it all clothes?

I think - although I don't really have any debts (yet) as a result of my "hobby" I am a shopaholic. I was made redundent on the 23rd December and ever since I think it must be near enough everyday I have had a wonder around the shopping centre, buying things that I dont actually need. Over the weekend on the Debenhams website, just because they have a 20% code and free postage, I purchased FIVE pairs of shoes, one coast shrug and a pair of slippers.. and a holdall I dont need. Not because im going anywhere special, that I need a pair of beautiful shoes, oh no, just because there beautiful. To make it even more stupid, they didnt have a size 6 in these shoes, so i brought a 7 and was trying to convince my mum yesterday that they did fit!
It is a hobby to me to walk round the shops - and it is scary to think its my only hobby. I don't really know what else im into? Did anybody else get like that?
I can go into a shop and spend 3/4 quid on a magazine, put it into my bag and never actually get round to reading that glossy must have, £2.50 on a coffee didn't seem much....
It is in some ways like a drug, you get adicted to it. If I havn't had a shop for a couple of days, it becomes everything I think about :( Until I have to buy something.. anything.. just to shop :(
It is scary as I read all these stories on here and I can see myself five years down the track in the same pan as alot of people on here. I know how easy it is to get into this hobby but it is so hard to get out of :(
hi im new but i know this far too well !! but i am starting to realise this is bordom !! and i have only just started my journey but i am amazed how addictive it can be to save money!! now i start to look at everything in a cash value! and when you think of all the things you have always wanted to do but never had time ,you start to realize you have always had the time and money just never realized it !!
just wanted to say good luck im sure you can beat the habit!!
