CL - its strange, I can't stomach supermarket coke but I will happily drink asda cheapest lemonade? :S

It feels strange how I feel - sort of relieved, sort of OMG, sort of deflated :S does that sound daft :S I dont really know how to relax cos it doesn't feel at all real :S I've just sat and done a budget to get through to pay day :S what a wierd concept after all this time not had a proper job since feb 09?

Yep going shopping with the mothering unit :) Going to buy work clothes :D So yes my £70 is going to be EXTREMELY out of budget this week, but I have an entire work wardrobe to buy darhling ;) Am proud that although I am getting really bad routes im going to try my hardest to cope until Payday before I have them done :)

Right - so - starting from tomorrow I have a £10 a day budget for each day im at work - not including bus fares as i've paid in one installment. I am borrowing £150 from the bank of parents which is my intention to pay half back by payday using no spend days, which i WILL manage :D

  • I must be weird because I like supermarket coke better than Coca cola :S But Pepsi Max is better than both of those... aha!

I can kind of understand how you feel as I would be absolutely bricking it if I was starting a new job :o I probably wouldn't sleep for the next week... lol. I don't cope with new situations very well. But anyway, that's nice of your parents to help you out. And just think how fab you'll feel when your first pay day comes around :j

Which reminds me, I reeeeally need to do some kind of volunteering work as my cv is so bare it's pathetic...

Anyway I'm off to bed, so g'night all. I will no doubt be back tomorrow with tales of my shopping trip! ;)

    Hi all

NGlady - that new job sounds very posh! Good luck with your shopping and extra expenses, nice your parents are helping you.

Souk - I hope that date next week turns up.

Finances chat with ex went extraordinarily well, not at all in the direction I presumed it would go. Just before he came round I decided that I would act cool and collected and not say anything that would start an argument. In fact it felt like that happy feeling I had the previous day after that compliment from the young bloke. It was as though all the vibes were totally different to normal. It seemed as though he was prolonging the conversation and didn't want to go.

Weird, I'm just typing this and the phone rings and it's him. :)

Right, back to the thread. Supermarket coke? Well that's one addiction I don't share with you girls.

NGlady-well done :) i'm really pleased you got the job that's fantastic... :) *does happy dance!* lol

Welcome to all the new posters :) i am reading this thread but seem to find little time to post at the moment, had a lot of NSDs as been stuck at home-working :( i think i need to be surgically removed from this pc soon...it's that bad.

As to Jobs well, Angela i am a trained English teacher but since having my 2 youngest children (5 and 3) i now work from home, i am a 'freelance journalist' (how i loathe that term) for a few online news/glossy sites(though it does vary whom and what i am writing about- one week can be shoes, next car parts IYSWIM)

I am also a SAHM and look after the home and my blokes appointments, i never seem to stop...goodness knows where i find the time to shop lol!
Hoping to of finally learned my lesson...slowly but surely

Angela, I do try and shall make myself a wee crown with "returns queen" on it :)
Well been up to the McGlen and managed to get a top ive wanted for ages down from £28 to FIVE POUNDS in the next outlet sale, and I shall wear it for work underneith my suit jacket when I get one :)

    Ok todays review!!

I havnt brought everything I need yet, but I am deffinatly, almost done and I have a list of very specific needs :) they are wanted needs not Just cos i wants too YAY me!
    • Two more Dorothy perkins shirts - 20% sale today and tomorrow, so shall get these for £20 :) YAY. I've got four shirts but I sweat (eww i know!!) quite a lot, so I don't wish to be known as the office smelly, so shall be keeping a spare in my draw :)
    • Hair flowers :) I have medium/long hair and again its a hot office so id prefer it out of the way :) Hopefully a blue one and maybe a cream :)
    • Tights :) Black :)
    • Long length boyfriend cardigan in black if i can find a fairly priced one :)
    • Possibly another nice blazer jacket in leiu of the below
    So today I have brought:

    Clothes wise:
    • Black work shoes... I took my clutch bag back that I brought from Debenhams to part pay for these :) These cost me an additional £20 :) Decided quality over having to replace after a month.. hope they are comfortable!
    • A spotty blazer/suit jacket. I have wanted one of these for ages, and I do think they are smart enough for work :) £32 - have paid half of this through my money half through the loan as it was a wanted work item :)Update: Returning this, the size 18 doesn't fit lol, it fitted lovely in the shop though - ODD. Ah well, will wait till 20% is off and return sans receipt lol.
    • 3x shirts - black, blue, spotty. Clever of me - as I said the other day, I purchased a £14 work shirt from Dorothy perkins. Today, the offer was 2 shirts for £20 - so I re-brought the pink one and returned it using the £14 reciept - therefore, 4 work shirts cost me £26, instead of the £50 normal price (normally there 2 for 25.00) taking price per shirt down to £6.50 per shirt from £14 p/shirt.. does tha make sence? lol.
    • Illuminator from Boots - mum spent a fiver and gave me her £5 voucher so this only cost £5 :D
    • That top I spoke about before £5
Non clothes wise: - These are a little high, would have prefered much less, but to say I was out for like 10 hours there not too bad I guess :/
    • Day river £4.60 - I have MORE than had my moneys worth on this today though, I think I did about £12 worth of Journeys if I bought seperately :)
    • Food - Including a gregs sausage roll, BK dinner 2x bottles of water and a starbucks white mocha about £9.50 EXTREMELY high :O
    • Little "thankyou" gift for my mum for loaning me the money and offering to allow me to stagger the repayment out over 3 months £3
    • Book - £2 ready to be carried in my handbag to work, its smaller than my current one :) I know, this can't be justified no matter how much I try lol.
    • Marshmellows - fat free - to keep for munchies £1
Returns: << Angelas fav bit lol.
    • £15 return from Debenhams - part payment to shoes.
    • The pink shirt I mentioned above £14
    • the Tula bag I brought the other day :) £15
So budget left for work clothes is £100 - I have probably mixed my own money in a little too much, but im happy with this :)

I am absoloutly knackered tonight, which is a good thing as i wanted to tire myself out tonight so I can go to bed at a reasonable hour and hopefully get into a good routine again.

Going to Manchester on Saturday - T is going to ask me to be his Girlfriend, and to be honest, and I didn't think id be saying this three weeks ago Im going to agree :) I really like that fella, I dont know why really, but we've really connected :O I really get on with him so well :S I love it.

Going to try and have a half decent spend day tomorrow, might go and try and get some of the mentioned things I need tbh. T offered to let me do it on saturday but im only there for three hours as got family party on saturday night so isn't fair really :)

So completelylost :) How was your day with your Mothership? I hope you had a bad spend day to make me look not as bad haha. Did you manage your coke thing?

All in all, had a very expensive day yet loved it :) It still doesn't feel quite real lol.

Angela, lucky you being a lady of leisure, do you enjoy it? Or would you prefer to be in work?

Ok I am going to shut up now, you've probably dedicated a week to reading the above haha.

CL - Have you happend to drink a magic potion, the "good spending habbit" potion by the MSE gods? Cos you sure sound like you have :D I am expecting you to return both your purchases just so you can keep your very good running this month, I think your (like me) very stubborn like this lol.

I was expecting them to be more tbh - and it almost was, I nearly brought a suit :) but they didnt have the correct trousers in and I just couldnt be bothered to risk just getting the jacket and no trousers :) Shall buy myself a suit on payday :)

I know - after so many months of depression im actually getting some luck. I don't actually feel like its actually happening though :S its oddness really is.

Oooo I know this is naughty. But u know with the £5 vouchers, if you go on self service. Click no more vouchers, and pull the voucher out - you can use it again ... and again.... and again :O :$ I know, how naughty of me REALLY. But I shall get a cheap lipgloss tomorrow. I do do a good dead after and buy one of those badges :)
