Anglea swishing is a clothes swap party - they have them in bars sometimes, and you can host them at your house. Everyone brings at least 1 good quality item with them and they get hung on a rail. Everyone gets a chance to look at things before the swish, and then at the appropriate time the whistle blows and you grab what you can! I have never done one but it sounds like fun - and you don't spend anything. Big Wardrobe is like an online swish!0

HaHa Lisa has answered for me. I have it on my CV under interests, and in the past two interviews it has been spoken about :O and they all seem interested lol.
Right, find out about job in 24 hours... im off to sleep for 24 hours! lol.Learning to be 'good with money'0 -
Ahh but it could all go horribly wrong tomorrow.

You ARE putting me to shame chick
How do you think your interview(s) went then? What sort of job is it, if you don't mind me asking
Fingers crossed for you anyway!
Oooh handsome strangers who dish out compliments are always a nice boost! They are sadly lacking in my life (have I mentioned this before... no...? lolhi girls,
Tlb-£20 for you for the month good luck! I wonder what you normally spend on yourself - have you ever tried adding it up?
Completelylost - you've done well today. My encounter - the bloke was asking the directions for the dentist as it's moved premises, so I was rather taken aback by his comments to me
especially as he was so much younger lol.I'll be really embarassed if I ever see him again. Mind you, it has completely occupied my mind all day so that's a good thing as I'm not worrying about the finances conversation plus a bottle of cider in front of the tv tonight was a good idea too (or not, I'll see how I feel in the morning, might need to use the sunglasses smilie if I feel bad!)
)
Welllllllll, tomorrow is the 22nd April = shopping day with mothership :j/:D/:o
I have a couple of things to return/exchange (£4 top refund & possible £8 from some shoes)...
Given that I've spent £30 this month (this time last month I had spent £338 ) I think it will be ok if I buy a couple of nice things. And hey, you never know - I might even return empty-handed
edit to add: forgot to say, today was a MSD - £1 spent on 6 cans of coke (I was going to buy a bottle for 70p... so got 5 extra cans for 30p, one of which I'll take with me shopping tomorrow
see, I'm getting good!). Oh, and £1.51 on postage but that was for an ebay parcel. So yeah, good day! 0 -
Hi girls
Thanks for everyone enlightening me about NGlady's secret vice - swishing.
Like Completelylost, I'm also curious about the job.
Completelylost, I'm thinking about you going shopping tomorrow with a can of coke, all that shaking around in your bag - hope you don't have any accidents when you open it!
Ex coming round in a minute for that conversation, wish me luck.0 -
re: the coke... actually, I'd never thought about it exploding all over me :S That would be so typical of me, too. You've probably just saved me some embarrassment.
I hope it goes well with the ex, Anglea xx0 -
Hi to all

I have news
I have been given the job, start monday wooohooo. I am now a Business prospect agent, basically, when you take a car for a MOT etc at the approved dealership somebody calls from there just before your next one? Thats mee
Only downside, is I need lots of corporate wear
I own NOTHING, so I am going to have to have a temporary overdraft and pay at payday
only thing for it sadly.
CL - Im going out with my mothership tomorrow too lol. And also lol at your coke. Can't burleve how little youve spent :O
I am really going to try and continue with my spending little ways whilst back at work - already promised myself I wont buy my dinner at work each day etc.
I am genuinely happy - in fact when I found out i couldnt believe it and started shaking lol. Isn't ideal with the clothes thing but ill sort it

CompletelyLost, I'm addicted to diet coke- where did you find 6 cans for £1?? Today is day 3 for me of not spending £4-8 every day in tesco buying lunch..it's harder than it sounds..
Monday was ok, I had a driving lesson which was £20 but I did buy some oatcakes from a cafe for lunch (work order it in for us...) with change in my purse I found when cleaning my room...Tuesday was ok, I took lunch, and today I bought tampons (£2 I think)- necessity but wish they were cheaper- and took chili I made last night to take with me.
I spend about £60 on bus tickets to work- sadly I don't go often enough to make a monthly pass worth it (I work 4 days a week and a monthly pass is £65), and every time I go to the cash machine next to tesco, down the road from the bus stop just past my house I end up taking out an extra tenner and buying food...I can make a budget but stopping impulse/comfort buying and sticking to it is the problem....
I work Mon-Thu so tomorrow is my last working day of the week- got to go to audiology on fri which will cost a few pounds for the bus ticket (I wear hearing aids and they need looking at)- but after that I have the whole weekend- easier not to buy food but harder to resist buying things online.0 -
Hey all, NGlady so chuffed for you on the job front! Well done and I really hope you enjoy it. Morocha, I have a date planned for next week! XXX'The road to a friends house is never long'0

Yay, so pleased to hear you got the job NGlady :j:T:j:T I bet you're relieved/overjoyed right now. Are you going shopping tomorrow too?
Melissa22 - sorry I should've said, it's not real diet coke it's Asda's own brand. I actually prefer it to proper Diet Coke, but then I have funny taste
