    NGlady -

This was a voucher from returning something was it? So I would have listed it when originally bought - then make notes next to it.

I can imagine that your entries must look complicated with pluses and minuses next to each item :).

It does sounds like you have a nice time with this man. So has your impression changed now you've had a couple of dates. Is he your type or not?

Completely lost - I understand now about page 3.:)

Only bought groceries today. I started looking for my receipts this month (usually I bin them) and been a bit worried by the amount of them since April 1st. Will have to look back through my posts on here to see how much I spent in cafes etc places without receipts. I will put off adding everything up until the end of the month (will probably need sedating LOL).

We walked into starbucks I came out and said "What are you having - you go sit down" may have said it a little too forceful but I wanted to try and treat him in a small way, I don't think hes the type of guy to ASK for something to be brought for him, he doesnt need it but I think hes the type of guy even if somethings not expensive he appreciates a gesture. Does that make any sence? I wanted to buy us doughnuts but he wasnt hungry, we're going for a picnic next weekend shall offer to bring that up/go to the shop and me buy it when there or something :)

Plenty of Fish Miss Completelylost :)

I have a dilema. Im going to debenhams, going to use my voucher. Does this count as a spend or not :S what do you girlies think? :)

theres some fab savings left in the 70% sale at debenhams sale finishing today. I got Piz Buin sunless tanning for £5 and (a birthday present for a friend), a matthew williamson handbag for £25... very very chuffed with that. (oh and I took a dress back to DP for £35 first, so technically a negative spend ;) )

NG: if the voucher was a gift/received from doing surveys/whatever then I wouldn't class it as a spend. But if it was a voucher you got from returning something that originally cost you cash then it is a spend in my opinion. That's just how I see it though :)

I used to have an account on PoF but never put my photo up. I always got a lot of old men contacting me :o

Anglea: I'm looking forward to hearing your spends. Do let us know :p

So today is not a NSD as I bought something online -- an o2 mobile broadband dongle-thingie. It's pay-as-you-go so good for the days when our internet cuts off and I'm left internet-less.

I paid £9.99 but got £6.25 of nectar points so £3.75 spent overall. Not too bad, right? I'd been waiting for these to drop in price for ages so thought that was a bargain.
  • Afternoon!

Been really good today and not gone into town shopping. Although there are couple of things I need to un-shop (love the new word NGlady!). Might pop in tomorow.

Have been faffing around with my blog for hours - it's so addictive!

Need to head out to the supermarket now tho. Can't be a***ed but a girl's got to eat!

    xx
  • Your date sounds lovely NGlady. Stupidly forgot to pay my Debenhams credit card last month. Only a small amount but they charged me £12 plus interest for late payment! Paid it off now and will not use it again unless absolutely necessary. Had my hair done today. Bought some vital toiletries with Boots points.Another charity shop purchase of nice cotton dress, and groceries so not too bad. Back at work next week so will hopefully have some NSDs.

Ladies Angela especially, I hope your glued to your seats for this peice of news. I WENT TO DEBENHAMS, TRIED THINGS ON, AND BROUGHT NOTHING then I went to newlook loved a dress, DIDNT BUY IT and same in Dorothy perkins. So I came home from my shopping trip despite going to two towns, and hadnt brought a susage :D Did see a purse i've fancied a while down from £39 to £11 but I argued with myself A: I've got the Radley at the moment ive wanted for ages B: It was slightly dirty C: its cream therefore its going to last a week lol so I put it back :)

I have seen a couple of nice dresses I would like, but managed to say NO to myself, going to try my hardest and despite going to manc next weekend save quite a bit up for the weekend after for a trip to the shops with my mum, I havn't been a very good girl (lol) with my saving for my trip thing :S Also got until the 12th June to save up for my Christening dress on the 13th :) Will POSSIBLY go shopping a week before and get a "just in case"! Oh i dunno

The gift voucher was a return for something - so shall be classed as a spend when used now :) Angela, to be honest, I havnt done the plus and minus thing, ive just wrote down as I spend, and scribbled out if i remembered, so possibly my spends are a little higher than they really are :D

Well I have had a slightly more expensive day than I wanted today, BUT the main of that has been on a little outting with my nephew and those sorts of memories to me are worth more than a few pounds in the bank, its clear i've changed my attitude to spending though, as I was actually thinking about the price of things as I ordered rather than just what I wanted :D

    Ok so spends today:
    £4.60 on buses
£0.45 on a bottle of water.
    £6.00 on mc Donalds
£0.50 towards a comic for my nephew :)
    total spends £11.50

Angela, to be honest, and i know this sounds ODD but I am starting to fancy him :/ Guess as you become "fond" of somebody you do :S

Oh thats rubbish VNMS - I did this with Faith ages ago I had £3 out standing and got charged I think £15 - I rang up and cried ( I know i know) and because it was first time ever/in 12 months they waivered it for me, why not try it on ;) be a lady flirt!

I havnt been keeping a track on my food spending enough - shall go thru this later and update my talley :) Have only spent £3.99 of my magazine allowance though so £6.01

Here endeth my essay, the thought for tonight "Look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves"

Morocha, it will be horrible if its canx, is your travel insurance comprehensive to cover it? But think of it this way, better to be stranded here than there, I know somebody stuck in Isreal and they dont know when there getting back, and a friends work colleague was due back from Australia on Saturday and next flight he can get is 10 days time :O horrible isnt it really.
What scaes me, is what is up there, has to come down, so whats going to happen then!

    Hi girls,

Morocha - sorry to hear your hols might be upset - fingers crossed. Glad you enjoyed your dinner with family.

NGlady - smelling salts were needed after reading your post. Two towns missed out on your spending - whatever next?????????:rotfl:

And now you fancy your bloke - I'm wondering if he wore a jacket you liked this time or did you have to tell him to take it off like last time? LOL

Angela, he wore a shirt this time with some nicer jeans - I did make a comment how much a shirt suited him more than a t-shirt, hes not a skinny bloke but the shirt just worked :D

I know - TWO places missed out :O I dunno mrs, maybe going to Derby and spending nothing :O
