Exactly CL - I did ask him if he would be able to come to Derby as to be honest spending £40 on train fare in a week is a bit too much right now, he said he would be more than happy to but offered me a contribution to my train fare instead as it would be cheaper for him, plus theres more to do in manchester. Did feel a little bit of a i dunno, put on him, but he said he is more than happy to, so what can I do
Shall buy him dinner/coffee tomorrow.
I am rather jealous of your spending diary CL lol. I think I shall have to be challaged by that next week
lol.
Well, my amazon book hasn't arrived. So I had two dilemas, I need something to read on the trai so it was either spend £3 on magazines or £3.49 on another book, so ive brought another book. Shall have to have the other one ready for after this runs out
Had a good spend day today - ish. Didn't have any bus fares, spent £1.40 on dinner (still buying food out, but im starting to find cheaper options
) £3 in primark and said book
Tomorrow going by my weekly target of £70 had to come in at £13.34 which I doubt very much is going to happen. I am going to figure out a way to "swap a day" later where I have a day next weeks allowance for tomorrow and be a NSD in debt. or something!Learning to be 'good with money'0 -
Water is really good at helping lose weight, it flushes the toxins out so you feel better and look better. The thing I've found is only having carbs for the morning, so for lunch I'd have cereal and a banana, then a banana after the gym and limit my lunch to veg or fruit or salads....must admit it's helping me slim down and I'm on medication notorious for making you hungry all day long.** Total debt: £6950.82 ± May NSDs 1/10 **** Fat Bum Shrinking: -7/56lbs **
**SPC 2012 #1498 -£152 and 1499 ***
I do it all because I'm scared.

Sorry, but that's cheating yourself and bending your own rules - and I think you know it!!!
Setting a budget means 'I want to cut down on my spending', and 'borrowing' from next week means 'I'm going to blow my budget and excuse it to myself'.
Sorry if I sound harsh. At the end of the day it's no-one's business but yours, i guess. No, Mr A, that is NOT 'Great news'!!
Wombling totals: Oct = £243.32 - £93.32 over target!
Nov Wombling Tally: £27.36 so far... behind target

Thankyou Tyzer
I needed to be told off lol. I think my budget was a slight bit optimistic to be honest, so it may turn into £75 or so but I am really going to go with my budget in mind
Any fixes I need shall have to come from Debenhams and my gift voucher
Why do I always do this "I know, ill have a huge wardrobe tidy up" so I pull everything out, throw them over my bed in the ensuite everywhere, then I decide how depressig it looks and just either put things back willynilly therefore wasted objective or I spend the whole time feeling fed up! I also have loads of available time in which to tidy up, but I choose 6pm in the evening :S ooo i dunno lol.Learning to be 'good with money'0 -
Enjoy your date NGlady! I have argued with lots of guys over money in the past. I find the whole thing really awkward and have to make it clear to them that if I wasn't out with them I'd be out with someone else and still spending my own money!!!
My feet are always too small for most shoes btw. They're really a 2 but I do wear a 3 in most shoes with straps just because I can buy them easily!'The road to a friends house is never long'0 -
Have a good time NGlady and hope you don't have to sit on the floor this time - hope that volacnic ash doesn't mess anything up for you either.:)0

xHoping to of finally learned my lesson...slowly but surely0 -
Hi all,
Going to read back and catch up in a second.
Been naughty BUT have not only sold my phone (the one I was using til I got my new one today) but I used my Orange Phone Fund (cashback Orange gives you for topping up) towards another handset which I am also selling when it arrives, plus have made £27 selling more stuff to CEX.
Well, I spent £7.40 in Primark on a pair of PJ bottoms which I needed and 2 pairs of girls' boxer shorts which I also needed as I have thrown away so many old pairs of overused pants...and I love Primark boxers!!
I also bought a plain black T shirt and a 7 pair pack of plain socks for someone in much need; but this £13 cost came off a gift card I earnt through doing surveys.
Then I spent money at Tesco including chocolate mousse, cider, Doritos and coke which I don't need....
Finally a massive £440.40 on a new iPhone plus £10 topup. OUCH. But I will keep it til it dies and I got a £3.25 gel case for it from Amazon using vouchers too.
Sold another book so have about £17 in my Greenmetropolis account should I get desparate.
I plan to be good and rein in my spending now for a bit.0 -
Ooh Flickering Ember I have a question about the phone fund. How much can you save up towards a phone? My account isn't working at the moment and I am getting a new phone with most of it being paid by selling my old phone, but I like your idea of buying a handset to sell on. Is there an upper limit?
Thanks in advance!0
