I really hope I'm not going to be a bad influence here! My intention is to think before I shop. Not to highlight nice things that people could buy.

I've a bad track record, but I just want to have a more considered approach. Think a purchase through and buy it if I'm sure I love ot - otherwise, forget it.

WSTWA you remind me of when I first started on this thread - even now to a point, you will toy with different iddeas, then you will all of a sudden have a brain wave and your shopping will be a little less
Mine came with writing everything down. if that makes sence! Learning to be 'good with money'0 -

Where I live clothing stores are scarce so no matter what age, everyone shops at New Look and Peacocks, from children to over 80's in there. And I've also noticed that some of the older ladies look better than the youngsters in the same clothes, usually if they are slim and the clothes look smart.
Years ago it would have been unbelievable to see these little old ladies with shopping trolleys and a blue rinse in a younger person's clothes shop but it happens now all the time. Clothes used to be aimed a different ages so if you were older there wasn't a lot of choice. Somedays when I see an older lady with old-fashioned clothes it seems very strange. Remember crimplene (shudders)? Couldn't imagine Madonna wearing anything like that when she's 60.0 -
Don't worry, it wouldn't be your fault if I *did* buy it, plus it would probably be too short on me anyway.we_shop_therefore_we_are wrote: »I really hope I'm not going to be a bad influence here! My intention is to think before I shop. Not to highlight nice things that people could buy.
