Just taken advantage of the M&S sale and got two new pairs of tights and a belt for £6. Tights will be put away for next autumn and belt will replace my ailing one, which has served me well, but is now hanging in literally by it's last thread.Final clothing purchase for this year will be 3 t shirts from Dorothy Perkins for £12, to get me through the summer. Yay! Just got to get £500 put aside for that brooch and £600 for my OU course starting in november then I have nothing to pay out for the rest of the year.Going to try and get a sewing machine on freecycle so I can make some cushions and things for the house.

Good morning!
Hope everyone had a pleasant monday. It is hard going into work when your OH has the week off. The duvet is especially comfortable this morning I have to say.

Yuk! What a horrible wet day.
Feels like one of those evenings where you could put on the jim jams, and munch your way through a tub of Ben and Jerrys. In fact I may well do that!!

Right, now the debts are on the way to getting themselves sorted, need to work on looking after myself a bit. Nice lady at work is going to do me a relaxation cd, to help me chill out. Not been feeling myself for the last few days. Going to chill out on the sofa and watch the planet programme with that young sciencey guy.

I didn't give into the Ben and Jerry's in the end.
Ebay still a nightmare, another saga has risen its head. Grrrr. I will not be put off though, this is all a learning experience in how to deal with difficult people, and essential training for my future career years. Decided that I'm only checking my emails at certain times of day instead of constantly being on there.
This was supposed to be a way of generating some extra cash to pay off the debts, but is turning into a full time nightmare.
Had a bit of a laugh today. We are always told to take regular breaks from our computers, so we had office at your desk aerobics today. I'm seriously considering saying that we have ten minutes at the start of the day and mid afternoon to indulge in some mild stretching excercises, all given from a health and safety angle.
Sleepy again. Third day of headaches due to large volume data input. Isn't bed such a nice place to be?

Right!
Today is a new day. Decided that whilst the weather outside may be grey and glum. I don't have to be.. As my new assertive self I'm going to banish those winter blues, and find all my nice bright clothing, accessories and darn well put them on today.
As for ebay, the item is now third hand, so I'm not being dragged into my buyers selling woes. My buyer even stole my text the advertise the item again the same day as they received it? Had it for a long time, sad to see it go, blah, blah, blah. I let people bully me for so much of my life and not spending my Easter break monitoring these emails. Done, shut, finished! Gutted that instead of going to IKEA to get a drawer to finally sort the bedroom out over Easter, I have to keep the money aside incase, somehow, miracle of god this ebay thing comes to bite me on the behind.
Still waiting for my refund. They weren't joking when they said up to 5 days for it to credit Paypal. Day 4, still no sign. This is the longest, stretched out refund I've ever known.
Going to start back on the diet after Easter. 1 stone to lose by the summer. Eeek!
I'm already counting the weeks till payday again, so I can knock some more off the above. 3 weeks to go!

Quick shower and off to work. Going to wear a long white shirt with jeans and my super bright fushia Kenzo jacket. Could do with some skinny jeans really, but I'm going to treat myself to some of those next month. I haven't bought a pair yet in all the years that these have been in fashion, so finally its time to take the plunge!
Decided on the above outfit, because although I'll probably get some 'ooh look at you' comments, I need to break out of this unconfident mindset of mine.
I spoke to my councellor, counsellor (oh I don't know how to spell it, well the one that sorts your head out, not your council tax), anyway... I told her that I had a lovely wardrobe full of nice items of clothing that I'd never worn, not because they don't fit me, which had cost me a lot of money (part of the above) and I loved them. I never wore them though because I didn't dare be the confident me that was on the inside, who had chosen these things, because I thought that people would judge me.
I have have had most of these things since 2004, and only last year did I pluck up the courage to wear some of them for the first time, along with some if that bright fushia pink lipstick that YSL do.
Anyway the jacket is the biggest challenge as it is 1) bright bright fushia pink and ) in a short boxy 1980's style, complete with shoulder pads and 3) has little gold flower buttons.
So 1) It is bright and won't fail to get me noticed (eek my worst nightmare)
2) 1980s style (so quite a statement and bound to get me noticed again)
and 3) has flower buttons (Am I secretly a literally closeted stepford wife?)
I will do it though, I will face the criticism and the laughter. Wish me look troops!

Good luck Thrifty!
Bet most people on the inside will be thinking "wish I could pull something like that off....."
