Brilliant. I have proved to myself, that even in the midst of all this debt I still have a sense of humour, even if it is a rather immature one! I have just been laughing my socks off at another post, where something was referred to as "nuttier than a squirrels fart".

Ok, maybe everyone else had heard that years ago, and has long since stopped laughing at it. But for a moment this morning, the gloom was lifted, and I had tears of laughter streaming down my face.

Plus I must have burned some calories, and slightly toned my tummy fat with that.

So that is my challenge to everyone today. Find something funny, and laugh your socks off. And if anyone has any jokes that are good for a laugh, please post them. In fact, should I set up a seperate thread for joke of the day?

Maybe that might slightly lift spirits.

I had another good chuckle whilst I was out. I left my trolley at the end of the isle in Tesco, while I went to grab something off another shelf. As I was coming back, I saw a lady rummaging around in my trolley. She'd had my discount parsnips out. Considering my trolley was six isles down from the veg, and there were other things in there like washing powder, dishwasher tablets, and milk, she might have guessed that, it wasn't stocked full of things to be had at a bargain price.

I ran after her and asked if she had taken them from the trolley, and then she said 'oh well you can have them' Erm, you took them out of my trolley, I'm taking them, with or without your permission lady. I chuckled to myself the rest of the way round the supermarket.:rotfl:

Top lady still hasn't emailed me, or got the money back into paypal. Now it has passed midday, but the gullible side of me says-she may be in town still collecting the parcel. I'll give her till 5 tonight, and then if I haven't heard, I'll escalate the claim.

Pushing her luck though. Damned cheek!

Oh and PS if you have a Tesco near you, they are doing 5 muller fruit/crunch corners for £1 :money:

    OK,

So I escalated my claim, because as other half quite rightly put it, she has been screwing me around the every step of the way. She had her final chance to get things sorted, and had in over a week neither bothered to collect the parcel, issue a refund, or keep in regular contact. :(

    Morning!

Bit of an earlier rise. Purchase for next month will be one of those eyemask thingys to block out the sunlight.

    4 days till payday!!! Yay!

Missy only responded re the top, when under threat, again! No email, then when the Paypal claim was going through, she finally responded. Paypal have assessed that I should get my money back. I've submitted the tracking number, and now they are checking that the item has been delivered. Well it's still waiting for her to get up off her behind and get from the post office, or at least call them the rearrange delivery. If she doesn't collect it within two weeks doesn't it get returned to me?

What a nightmare!!! Anyway I've put together what I think will be one last mammoth ebay listing, and should come to around £500. Yay!

I'm going to indulge in some simple pleasures today (chocolate may well feature at some point too!!)

I'm going to step outside the back door and breath in some lovely fresh spring air.

I'm going to take some nice photos of the pretty crocuses that are popping up in the lawn.

I'm going to hoover because the rug looks lovely when all the crumbs off it have gone away.

I'm going to clean the bathroom, because I love the shine and the fresh smell.

I'm going to spend a couple of hours sat down reading a book, whilst listening to the birds singing outside.

    :)

    Cheers Buffy :)

Well ebay auctions are going well. I have packaged most of it up, cleaned the bathroom, applied a fresh coat a nail polish to the tootsies. Spent 2 hours digging at the allotment, and have sorted out the next batch of stuff to ebay, now just remains to take photos, list.

    Hoovering done. Washing half done.

All that remains after that is to sit down to a sunday roast and a glass of wine. Phew!!!

Again another productive, if not restful weekend, but all the hard work will pay off.

Mammoth wrapping of ebay items next weekend, plant garlic, onion and potatoes up at the allotment (with OH, I can't take all the credit, this is his baby and I help out), sort out last batch of ebay items and list, and then I can have a nice easter week of relaxing, pottering round the garden, and sorting out the back bedroom (or dumping ground).

So plans for the next three months are....

Keep applying for new jobs on better pay

Declutter the house-including back bedroom so that I can actually get to the piano and have a Les Dawson style, play again.

Get cc1 down to £4000-ebay everything bar my bra!

Plant lots of veg and salad in the allotment-can't wait to start picking all that!!

Save up the money to pay off the brooch I have kept at the jewellers-I'll probably have to walk straight over to the one across the road and sell it straightaway. We'll see.

Lose some weight so I can feel confident getting my arms out this summer.

    Right, better get on then!!

    OK,

Back is falling apart, but photos taken and ready to upload after dinner.

Next weekend will revisit the three charity shops that I went round on saturday. Two tulip head shaped glasses-50p the pair, add a couple of tea lights= 1 bday present, super individual and cheap.

    1 x Minton pink cockatrice dish-I know I'm 30 and I'm like a little old lady-I love old china and jewellery £5.

Love the charity shops-something which looks a bit old and tired in the shop can be transformed into something nice and new. I'm so pleased with my glass jar I got a few weeks back. It has a lovely lid and has moulded swags on it. It cost £1.50 and after a scrub in the sink with some fairy, it looks fabulous. I've put it in the bathroom and put my cotton wool buds inside. It looks a million dollars!!

    :)

    Sorry,

I'm a right old chatterbox today. Going to search freecycle for a sewing machine. I want to do a 'kirsty's homemade home' job, get some nice kath Kidston fabric and make little hanging hearts filled with lavender (when the plant starts flowering!!!)
