Top saga continues. The bloomin cheek! Not only have I had to send photos proving that the top was indeed the wrong size. I posted back the top last friday, emailed her today and she says 'strange, funny I've not had it yet'. Having anticipated this as the next move, I had sent the item first class recorded delivery. I have proof that they attempted delivery, bright and early on saturday morning (impressive for Royal Mail, being the day after I posted it), and that they left a 'while you were out card'. Haven't had it??? You've had a while you were out card since saturday at 9, and it is now wednesday, you are blatantly trying to swindle me. This has been going on for a month now, and my emails have been very patient. In my experience of ebay if that was me, the person would have said that the top was the wrong size, and no quibble I would have said send it back, and issued the refund.
Anyone else would have said 'screw the photo' and filed a dispute straight away. Grrr!
Anyway, I'd also like to say a big thank-you to Eric at Annick Goutal at Mount street on London. Who sent me a lovely handwritten note with not one but two samples of their Songes perfume. Lovely!
Hope you all had a good day, and I'm sure that the winging will stop soon. Sorry

Howdy do!
It's nearly friday. Yay! Nearly Pay day (thank goodness!). Well feeling aver so slightly deflated after interest has gone back onto Virgin cc1 £7035, £109 interest. Robbing barstewards. Well anyway I'm sure all that will change when I pay £800 off it this month, at least then, even when they have added their interest, it won't hit the 7k mark again, and I can feel like I'm starting to make headway at last.
It's going to be so nice when all this is over. It's like a full time job clearing this debt, raising money to pay it off, feeling guilty that I have spent way too much money on crap this month (about £40 on chocolate, crisps, fizzy drinks and wine etc etc). I will be good next month because for half of it I'm on holiday (so will have a 6 mile drive to the nearest shops, which will put me off), and then I have training for the other three thursdays that I'm at work.
Anyway enough winging and more positivity, just have to put the nose to the ground and charge!!! is only coming up to the second month that I have been on here, so that's not long really is it. Just keep focusing on June-when you will be able to see some progress, and December where we are around 75% debt free.
I'm really going to look forward to evenings that can be spent, watching the tv etc and not my bids on ebay. Anyway not losing steam now, ahead we go!!! And down with that debt monster!!

On a slightly more positive note, I am now into my 2nd month of not using my credit cards atall (one not through choice), so that is an achievement in itself. Can't remember the last time I could say that.
credit crunch style girly night on 9th April. Can't wait!!! I've cheekily emailed Agent Provocateur for some beauty samples for the ladies. Well, as my mother is fond of saying , if you don't ask, you don't get!!

Morning!
Friday is finally here, so all is good. Checked Paypal to see if I have my refund, which she said she would "try" and do yesterday. Clearly the "couldn't be arsed" fairies held her captive so there is still diddly squat in my account. Well she has until saturday midday to get it in there. If not I raise the Paypal claim. I know this is a lot of effort to go to for £18 but my stubborn side won't let this pass. If I had sent that 1st class not recorded, I'm under no illusion that she would have used the 'it hasn't turned up' line, and then she would have had both her top, and my money.!!!!
Anyway I'm going to indulge in a little retail therapy at lunch-a new pair of legging from Primark and check out the Neal's Yard stuff at TK Maxx. I love that shop. Got the Frankincense cream the other day for £3.99, normal price £19.50. Bargain!!:money:

Hi
You have achieved so much so far, don't be hard on yourself about the odd little treat
And well done on not using your cards :j Not increasing my overall is my biggest challenge, and I really struggle not use my cards when my 'spends' fund runs outSometimes it's hard to walk in a single woman's shoes - that's why we need really special ones!Total debt @ Oct 2008: £29,226.42 Credit Card- £[STRIKE]7493.56[/STRIKE] - £7243.56Weightloss : 0/34lbs0 -
Girly evening plans are coming together. Agent Provocateur are sending some samples of their fragrances. Have chosen some super sexy black gift bags, and just need to get some cerise ribbon to tie them with. Add a mini card in envelope to say thanks for coming.
Contents will be as follows: Agent Provocateur fragrance sample, tube Swizzels love hearts, a diamante shoe keyring, a cute resin ring. I'm going to bake some cupcakes with piped buttercream topping, topped with a small plastic shoe topper and lashings of red edible glitter.
Followed up by girly films, girly chat. What a fabulous evening, and all done quite cheaply.

I know I shouldn't keep checking-goodness knows my life seems to revolve around ebay at the mo. My lady is cutting it very fine with sending my my refund. She until 12 midday tomorrow, just checked and it's still not there. Very miffed, I've paid extra to send it first class, so that I would get my money back sooner (and pay it off one of my CCs). So very annoyed. Now I have to keep checking my Paypal account to see if the amount has arrived. Grrr! Anyway, will take a nice hot bath to try and get me to sleep.

Excuse me. Just having an aside rant here..... I keep thinking, should I sell absolutely everything, or just those things that don't fit anymore. But then there is a part of me that says if I sell everything that it part of me, then I'll be debt free quicker, but the house will be bare, all the vintage clothes I have kept nicely, will have been sold for tuppence, and there'll be nothing 'me' left. I'll be ok, just having a mini moment.
Mostly annoyed that I can't get to sleep now, because ebay woman is peeing me off!!!! Don't worry I'll issue your refund when I have it. Yeah, and until I mentioned the words 'tracking number' you were in denial about ever having seen it.
Apologies for the rant, but as you can see, it takes me a while to stop being annoyed with people. I do wonder whether I have a 'come screw me over' sign posted on my forehead sometimes. Grumble, grumble.Anyway this isn't the thrifty of old, old thrifty is happy go lucky, always a smile, can't wait for summer, so can throw off bulky winter clothes. She will return!!!

Morning!
Woken up slightly too early by some crows, who decided it would be good to have a 'who can crow the loudest' competition, outside my bedroom window. Now that would be an MSE idea! Not 4 and 20 blackbirds baked in a pie, but two annoying crows!
Anyway I'm rapidly realising that I'm getting to be a bit of a moaning old woman on here, so enough!
Free listing weekend on ebay, so perhaps some more unwanted items will go on. Have decided that for now i'm going to hang onto my prized possessions , as each month I can make 5 x's the minimum payment on cc1 and this month 8x's. Plus I'll need something for that 40th trip to Paris.
Trying to get together ideas for the 30th. Compiled a list last night of some fond 90s dance tunes, popped them on the laptop in the kitchen, grabbed a glass of wine and started dancing, I even had two highlighter pens on the kitchen table, which made makeshift glow sticks. Coolio!
