New year, New me (finally)

Am sure it will be fine. Most people are just glad to have someone else's "paper" to talk about rather than hold anything up for scrutiny themselves.
I so DO NOT miss doing that sort of stuff now that am not working!
You should plan yourself a little MSE treat for when it's all over though.
As a bit of a slacker in recent years, whenever I had to present something, which was far too often for my liking, and to an audience which was generally v nerve inducing, I always thought that gave me carte blanche for an extended slump afterwards..... what with the adrenalin and all, I needed to calm down..... that was probably just me and my slacker ways though.

Thanks for that Mrs R. It's not a paper as such, but more me waffling on and doing a critical analysis of some leadership training I went on, and trying to sell it to the rest of the team. I thought it was quite interesting, but I'm sure I'll come across as being a bit geeky for liking it. You tend to find groups in an office work on a 'play themselves down and appear to be humble at all times mentality', the comments will probably be because this is something out of character. But hey you have to take some risks to grow and develop. I don't want to be a nemo daddy fish for the rest of my life, so I guess some harsh criticism has to be taken in doses along the way.

PS why do they give a resealable sticker on an uber large pack of minstrels? They know you are a greedy so and so for buying a grab bag in the first place, so the chances of you needing to reseal it are negligable ( I couldn't do the 100:1 thing I don't understanding horseracey terminology).
I'm now going to have a nice warm bubbly bath and retire my hold it all in undergarments (I'm working that lycra). Sorry if that was too much information post dinner. Do you know, I never believed people when they said ' oh you just wait till you hit 25, carry on eating like that and you'll know to it), here's living proof people, what those old folk spout is true!!

Evening all!
Hope you had a good day, and thank goodness it's friday tomorrow!! Looking forward to Payday so we can knock a little bit more off those there totals. Been procrastinating about those darn shoes all day today.
Anyway I'm not going to have them, at least not at their current price, if they get relisted for £50 then I might consider it, and only then consider it.
It has been nice that for this month-at least until the 15th when cc direct debit goes out, I won't have been overdrawn for the first time in years. Wahey!!
According to my calculations with sales and cc payments, I should be able to knock £1300 off the above totals next month. I could knock more off if I sold absolutely everything, but I'm hanging onto a few of my shoes and lovely wardrobe pieces.
If I get the new job I'm applying for over the weekend, then that means that I should have cc1 paid off in full by november and cc 2 in December, and loan paid off by february with savings set aside of about £400 too! The plan then is to have £8000 set aside as personal emergency funds by August 2011, and then start of the second saving pot for the house Hope to have £22,000 extra from just my savings towards the deposit, plus whatever OH can manage. Ideally would be £36,000-£30,000 for deposit and £6,000 for robbing barstewards ( i mean estate agents and solicitors), leaving us with a hefty £100,000 mortgage hopefully to be paid off in full by age of 36.
I know that sounds like a lot of planning, but while I have a plan, the future is hopeful. Really weird since I sold those shoes too. Even though the guy was cheeky and said thanks for the free postage (i failed to notice he had only paid for the shoes and not the postage), I've thought less and less about all that crap with my ex, and finally feel like I can put the past behind me.
Sorry for the long post guys.
xx

Well I have to say I'm very proud of myself. I resisted the shoes. I even made myself watch the auction till the last second had gone, and then checked after, and someone had won them in 1 bid. I'm glad I didn't do it though, as now I have stood a really large test, and have come through the other side. This means now that pending some more ebay sales I can try and pay £1300 off my debt this month. I will be paying at least £1100 off it.
This is it, I'm on my way to freedom from debt. If my plans work out I'll be debt free by feb 2011I'm really proud.

ps, I know this is a really weird thing to say, but it is kind of weird to think that I will be debt free. I've been in debt for so long, I'm not sure what it's like to have savings money and personal money. I think sometimes I resisted paying more off my debts, because being in debt was what I was accustomed to. Not being in debt is actually going to be kind of scary in a way.
I do have a different take on things now. Before I used to look at cars on the drive into work and think, gosh that person must be really rich and successful to have a mercedes, Audi etc. Now i think, they should have paid it off their mortgage, or they must have quite a lot of debt. Anyway, these are my musings for the day. Going to look on rightmove for dreamy houses, that I will one day be able to afford (hopefully)

Had a productive morning down the allotment. Got muddy, stung and bitten, but half the plot had been dug over and relieved of tree roots, stingers, and various other weeds. Yay! Ebay sales seem to be going good. Won a lovely Simply Vera dress to wear next winter, will put my other one on there to pay for it. Cool! Going to put a few funds aside to purchase my 30th birthday dress-well darn it, I'm not going to Paris in November but I shall have a posh do to go to!! Now going to apply lashing of handcream to stung knuckles and perhaps have a nice green radox bath to soothe aching muscles.
