 as a reformed meat eater now veggie I am shocked at the flat mate but surprised that you even allowed him to do it!. I would never, in a million years, have dreamed of doing that to a vegetarian when I ate meat. If I had been you I would have calmly told him to remove the pan and go sit down until I had finished.
Not long now before you can reclaim your flat. You could also serve notice and advertise for a vegetarian flat mate who likes to stay in their room and notices when bins need emptying! Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. MrsMoo, I'm not even going to go there! I came to type in the hope I'd type away my anger!
I have just noticed Cars in on BBC3 in 45 minutes, so I am going to switch off my music and wrap my presents to that! I have my rasperry and passionfruit juice in a wine glass so I can pretend I am drinking a weird type of gluhwein but not have a hangover for work tomorrow.
Aw, is it really going to be Monday again tomorrow. Weekends are too short! We could do with a couple of longer ones in the next couple of weeks! :rotfl:Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

Not a bloke then? (sorry sexist comment)
Although to be fair Rodger does put the bin bags out. Is oblivious to general kack and a complete lack of kitchen surfaces though!
He also never cooks at the same time as me and visa versa. The kitchen is too small. Maybe your lodger has agerophobia and doesn't realise.
Maybe he has mild aspergers.
I've had 21 people looking at my lodger ad. Hope some of them are Monday - Friday's. I really do want to be able to invite my neice down if she wants to stay with me rather than Granny.Debt LBM (08/09) £11,641. DEBT FREE APRIL 2021.

:rotfl: Is it something in the male genes?
Mild? The was no mild in my diagnosis!
Well Cars has finished, as has my cup of tea. But the presents are not yet all wrapped. I've lost count of the amount of times I've lost the scissors. I've used half of the cellotape by very usefully tangling it around my fingers and having to screw it into a ball. Though I can maybe wrap the leftover scraps of paper around said balls and pretend my nephew made me a bunch of baubles. (Ok, so I have no shame in acting like a big kid, but you have to stop short at some things and when a 4 year old can make better christmas baubles than you, you need to know to keep quiet!)
I am bored of wrapping presents. Next year I don't think I shall buy any for that reason!
MrsMoo, have a look at STV player. Michael Buble's christmas something or other is on. I've been trying to get over my ear distraction, but it's just not working. I just keep looking at him in a very perplexed manner! Good job he can't see me. :rotfl:Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

Ladies, if you need a lodger to help pay the bills but want some time to yourself wouldn't a monday to Friday lodger be better anyway? Think there is a special site to advertise on.
In our town centre yesterday some church was wrapping gifts for free, I didn't hang about to find out if they were asking for donations or beating you up about not going to church as I had nothing with me that needed wrappingBut doesn't it take an age to wrap everything, it has taken most of my weekend. Of course if I was organised I would wrap as I bought :rotfl:

Maty, all I can say is that it's a good job I was drinking pretend wine or I wouldn't be able to see the screen right now. Though the presents probably would have looked like I hired a pro!
I'd say thank goodness it's done, but there a few things still in the post.
The girl that does my IPL wraps her presents as she goes. ANd she starts early too, so she's had her presents wrapped since September or something mad like that!
I think I might have a wee Baileys and curl up on the sofa for a wee bit as I feel like I have been working too hard. ...Oh no, bridget Jones has just started. It's way too late to start watching it. Must turn TV off now!

There are two sites; one's called www.mondaytofriday.com the other one something similar. Both cost!
Alternatively you can specify on spare room or easy room mate or gumtree or whatever that you are preferably looking for a Monday to Friday. I appear to have about 21 watchers (spooky :eek: - better keep the curtains drawn) who can't have my details until the advert has been up for a week, unless they want to pay.....so I'm expecting a flurry of activity from about Wednesday. Better start cleaning!

Sounds good - I won't have a lodger, as I work from home (with clients coming in) but when I finally retire, I'll definitely rent the house out ... I'll be living in some dive in the south of Spain, hanging out in bars2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Karmacat, that sounds fabulous! Can I join you? Every now and again when I want snow (?), I will pop over to visit MrsMoo
I think just need to double my rent! My flatmate has it too easy and initially I wanted it that way as I would have been in big trouble if he moved out. Now though, he hasn't had a rent rise in 4 years and I could manage if he left. He's also no longer a student so will now have to contribute to the council tax - which will benefit me as he will be paying half, rather than me getting a 25% discount. So if I hike it up and he goes, I'll manage.
You can see that I'll need to get tougher to work as privately! I was speaking to the graphic facilitator from the conference today. MrsMoo, you were asking what it was a while back. Essentially I think it's similar to mind maps. I was asking about the training she does, which includes you making your own life story. She also showed us her own graphic facilitation of her year ahead. She has visualised where she wants to be 12 months from now and had broken that down into how she is going to do that using graphic facilitation. I think she's some-one I need to keep in touch with - not just from a professional point of view, but I get the feeling we have similar views on some things. And I think I need my 12 month plan in that format as I am liable to screw a list into a wee ball and fling it away in frustration when I hit a barrier!
My "new" eBay boots (mine are black) arrived. They look as though they were never worn and I am well chuffed I got them for a quarter of the price they retail at. I think I will just skip around my flat in them and stare at them in adoration. :rotfl:
I also got my Summer Naturals stuff. That's the third order since I moved in here 4.5 years ago. If you don't mind being green in your cleaning and using vinegar, bicarb of soda and essential oils, I'd definitely recommend it as a way of both being eco friendly and saving a fortune on hideous, toxic chemicals!
So I'm waiting on one more pressie and my dress. Hopefully I'll get them both before the end of the week.
Hopefully my laundry will be dry by then too! My bedroom smells of damp laundry.Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

I hate getting laundry dry in winter. In my last house I had a tumble dryer and I wasnt afraid to use it. What I wouldnt give for one now. Nothing worse than wet towels hanging around.
I keep meaning to order off summer naturals and then forgetting. Must place an order in time for the new year and start as I mean to go on.Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons.
