Create a scene (not a nativity one preferably!).
Ask them 'Do you want to sort this now or would you rather read about this sorry saga when I write to Brignall & King in the consumer section of Saturday's Guardian. Afterall there's no such thing as bad publicity'
Glad that RBS is paid off.
Even more glad you didn't get time to use my advice. The problem with having a huff is that occasionally you get it wrong.
Like me taking two gym balls back, both faulty. 'They've got some vacuum problem, I'm not getting any air in them, and I've got two degrees y'know, what hope is there for other people'.

Nicca would like it to be known that perhaps a particular bank was indeed being extremely effective in their customer service. And that perhaps a particular loan account may have been taken offline because it was, in actual fact, closed due to being paid off.
Nicca doesn't want to get ahead of herself and be overly excited by this however as she doesn't really understand the jargon letter that arrived today with the statement. However, the jist seems to be that the interest has been adjusted in light of the overpayments and the statement would suggest a loan rebate of £879.46 and an "interbranch early repayment" reduced the balance to nil. Thus the balance part of the statement says "account closed".
Before celebrating, Nicca will check with the bank that it is, in actual fact, closed and find out where the recent overpayments that have not been credited to the account are hiding!
If the account is really paid off though, then Nicca should probably apologise for slagging off said bank. She probably won't though because banks are banks after all!

Brilliant at getting the loan paid off Nic
Having caught up with the last few days posts you can see how far you have come and how differently you thoughts are regarding money.

Thank you Maty! I saw a little Rodders in a different colour today. S/he had a wee santa jumper on to keep nice and cozy! Though I was very surprised at the amount of people who had their dogs in the city centre. It would surprise me all the time, but the Saturday before Christmas? I was worried little "other Rodders" would get squished
I am putting off wrapping presents. I have no patience for it so it becomes a chore. I am also putting off tidying the chaos that is my bedroom.
Instead I have been in the city centre, wandering around with my friend and her children and going on the "chairoplanes" as my friend's kids call them. This year us "adults" were a bit miffed that the kids wanted to go on the outside of the ride as it's not as much fun in the inside. :rotfl: I couldn't help but notice that we were practically the only two "adults" on there.
Oooh Harry Potter's on the telly. I love Harry Potter. Catch you all later...

I don't want to be a growed up either!
Perish the thought  I once got told that I wasn't a proper Aunty as I don't wear twinsets and pearls :rotfl:
I think your days sounds lovely, but dang those children wanting to be on the outside
I took Rodders to a Christmas Market in the week and he was so good with all the people around and he attracted lots of attention. We only saw another two dogs there and they were being carried because they were frightened! I would love a Santa jumper for him but OH says they are for wimps :rotfl:
I am having to do my wrapping in two hour bursts as Rodders is getting bored, should be finished by lunchtime tomorrow and I started last night! It needs to be done as I won't have time next week.
Enjoy Harry Potter :T:j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j0 -
You can grow old but you should never grow up Nic.
My nephews (now 18,18 and 26) have always said I am not a proper Aunty because I listen to Radio 1, know the latest bands, tell them dirty jokes and dont force them to kiss me! Hmmmm doing something right thenSome days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Ha! I love Harry Potter! Another one growing old but not up, I knew there was a reason I came onto this thread
As to being a proper auntie ... I'm the only one who's ever taken auntie-interest in my sister's kids (long story) so they don't have anything to compare me to:D:D good job really - computer, Harry Potter and science fiction, and the only twinset I ever owned was made of see through nylon that gave me the belly-button display appropriate at the time
:D:D
2023: the year I get to buy a car0
