And yes, my terms and conditions do say I can overpay. I tripple checked that a million times.

Words cannot quite express what I think of RBS's outstanding customer service right now!

I am thinking I might go into the branch with the outstanding amount, ask them to credit it and close the loan and current account there and then. Though I don't know what the outstanding amount is any more!

    And breath in, 2, 3, 4.... out 2, 3, 4... and again....

You know why you're stressed. You're not breathing properly. You're missing a 1 in your breathing!!!

I would do what you are suggesting.
Take in their terms and conditions, proof you've paid in and your calculations. Create a scene (not a nativity one preferably!).

Ask them 'Do you want to sort this now or would you rather read about this sorry saga when I write to Brignall & King in the consumer section of Saturday's Guardian. Afterall there's no such thing as bad publicity'

Note the use of red rather than my more usual calming purple. This means you should indicate anger and passion. If you need a pep talk before you go in watch Julia on the DVD describing Mike's kitchen.

Butti, you're already in the zone... you could do it for me...?

Got an email from recruitment people. I sent them a blank application form! Oooooooopppssss! :o I'm rather astounded they let me know and asked me to re-send it rather than sending me a numpty-nae-interview for you letter!

I think there are forces at work that are stronger than I know! I am a bit of a visualiser. No, no, I can't see into the future... but I tend to visualise myself doing things I want to do in future. If I can visualise it, then it seems right. If I can't it seems wrong. And I can visualise VSO but not the job I just sent a blank application form to!

So maybe I need to stop focusing on the source on my irritation at work and focus on where I'm heading instead. Easy to say! As we know from my mad rantings, it's much harder to do!

A friend sent me a message today to tell me about her magnificent money saving today. :D Don't you just love it when you realise your friend's may be rolling their eyes at your MSE ways, but it is actually drip, drip, dripping through to them! :rotfl:

Nic, what a nightmare about Rancid Bl**dy Shysters! They need taking outside and shooting in front of their children - according to Jeremy Clarkson that is (quickly points out that I am paraphrasing in case the internet police come in and arrest me for incitement and hate crimes).

As for the visualisation, I get it. I find that when I can see myself doing something it just seems to happen.... (well I am sure that I help it along the way but I dont feel like its hard work)

Maybe the recruitment people contacted you because there might be a glitch in the system, I cant believe that you would have sent a blank form.

Hope that you survived the parents visiting and staying over despite the weather.

Did you visualise them contacting you about a blank form? :D

I heard the other day that the people who get the jobs are the one's who can visualise themselves in them. I'm trying to do that.

:rotfl: MrsMoo, I'd like to think I didn't send a blank form but... I had three application forms on the desktop; the one I just had the intervirew for, this one and the blank template... And naturally I had seconds to spare to make the deadline (and whilst that would probably have been the case anyway, this time I can say I only saw the advert a couple of hours before the deadline so I had to do some jiggery pokery and manouevre myself via my flat to send it off).

Oh the weather outside is frightful and the fire ain't too delightful... and what on earth is thundersnow anyway? The forecast is for thunder and lightning and heavy snow at the same time. Here's hoping I'm not in the car whenever that hits! In fact, let's hope the fire is by then delightful! Just now the wind is howling around my windows, whistling impatiently and becoming more insistent. I am chosing to ignore the bad behaviour. Unles he is gently and blusteringly tapping on the window, I will pay him as little heed as I can get away with.

Butti, visualise the job you want, not the one you're applying for (if you know you're settling) and hopefully that job will materialise. I'm with MrsMoo; when I can see myself doing it, at some point I probably will be! I use the same technique to keep my calm when I'm anxious. The only time it doesn't work is in team meetings. :D But I think that's something to do with the ears they have in the walls as visualisation doesn't seem to work for any-one else either. There's a major block and usually a cursory glance around the table tends to show me it manifests in panddemic inability to keep eyes open!

Away to stare at numbers again to see when it is feasible to do VSO, with a view to re-aplying in the New Year.

You do make me smile Nic, even in the depths of an anxiety attack. You also made me realise that instead of trying to seek solace in forums I need to go and have a real life conversation with an actual human..... that or a bit of meditation.

The VSO thing will happen, you just need to look at things with fresh eyes. Take a step back from it all and it will become clear.

So with this visualisation thing........ will it work if I visualise Michael Buble sitting at my dinner table on Christmas Day? Better still playing my piano and singing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IlMmLWv8sNk

Off to meditate in front of my Michael Calendar :)

Mrs Moo I think visualisation helps you achieve things. Nobody said anything about performing miracles. :rotfl:

Meditation is great MrsMoo - though don't do it my way. Butti reckons I'm missing a couple of ones in my breathing! ;)

However, you really can't beat spending time with your favourite people when your feeling anxious or low - they just pick you up, put a smile on your face and sometimes they even also make a blinding cup of tea! :D So visit or call your favourite person Mrs and just have a natter.

We'll be here whenever you need us, but sometimes you need to break away and not feel dragged into other people's mad rantings (though obviously my rantings are those of a sane person thwarted by that bank ;))

Michael Buble performs miracles Butti? I just thought he was performing You and I :rotfl: I may pay him more attention if he performed miracles. Sorry MrsMoo, but I get terribly distracted by his ears. They remind me of an ex. :rotfl:

Wish I had some chocolate! I never want chocolate, but I think it was the mention of chocolate and beetroot! I have been mulling it over. I think it's got to be good! But I'll need to experiment and get back to you on that.
