... next thing we noticed we were pricing a week in the Gambia! (£500)

Last time I booked a cheap week away it ended up as two weeks all inclusive in the caribbean as we decided nowhere near was warm enough!

Shhh Psycho, I definitely don't need any encouragement. :D Bizarrely, when I first went to visit my friend she started off by talking about her student overdraft and how she needed to reduce it. Which metamorphosed into how much she'd earn over christmas hols (and how much I'd earn doing extra at second job in November). Which became the need for a holiday in January! Naturally! But warmth is definitely why we ended up looking at The Gambia. That and it's much cheaper than Goa! :o

I had my last appointment with my GP today. Really just to say cheerio as she's going on mat leave! She told me to keep saying no to the boss and keep an eye out for another job. What a prescription! I'll take that any day! :D (Also took the opportunity to quiz her about Yellow Fever and Malaria vaccinations :rotfl:.)

Feel very much like one chapter is coming to an end and another is just beginning! (With only slight technicalities in finsihing off some pesky course work and a conference... but those things are a mere 26.2 miles walk away. :p) In a good way!

Quite possibly becasue of the hair cut Maty! :rotfl: It's so much lighter and easier to keep. Which is kinda how I feel about me right now! :rotfl: (I forgot I was wearing the blue I have been rabbiting on about for months :D)

Day 1 back at work without hitch (supervisor doesn't work Mondays ;)) and boss emailed to ask for next holidays! :rotfl:

Tonight I only have to wonder whether to walk, balance my body or study! But first I need to figure out what I can make with purple beans and not much else in the way of fresh veg!

Liking the sound of the haircut and glad you got the blue top at last. Lynx should be banned. Everytime OHs son comes to stay I spend the weekend/week sneezing and I swear he is responsible for most of the damage to the ozone layer :)

I had yellow fever jabs.............. I am guessing that Africa is the top of the list rather than south america then?

  • PS how are you getting on with course work? I have just done part 2, just part 3 and conclusion to go but hoping to get it done now!!

Hello MrsMoo, I must have just missed you in passing. I've just been over to yours. Big hugs sweetie, I hope you don't hink I'm lecturing you (even though I kinda am.) We just worry here at MSE. It's what we are good at.

I have recently finished reading this (which I actually found a little depressing. Had me wondering whether I should go and freeze my eggs!) but she did a "four corners" thing, which I assume is a bit like your happiness/mind map stuff, where you write/draw/create in any way you can I guess, where you see yourself in terms of family, career, home and relationships (I think). I think I might do it and see where I'm at.

But yes, yes, ok Psycho. I see you've sneaked in to berate me on being so super-fabulous at procrastination so I won't do it until I have finished the course work and Butti has written 7000 words for her thesis! :D

Hey don't drag me into this. I haven't done anything yet. Plan to have a stab at it at the end of the week. The intro - 2000 words. That's two thousand words, not minus two thousand words!

I'm dragging you in to it because you haven't done anything. You're in perfect company ;). You best not stick around too long though, I think procrastination is extremely contagious!

I was at a meeting at work today when the minute-taker asked if I was an ordinary [insert profession here]. Apparently she had never seen another [insert profession here] give so much input.

Naturally I had to confess I was in fact an extraordinary [insert profession here] ;) :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

We have sold 35 places for our conference. Which is 3 more than we needed to ensure we could go ahead. :j I'm a bit dubious about the finances to be honest but then, for reasons documented in my signature below ;), I bowed out of being treasurer! So I need to trust those doing the counting!

I need to count up my NSDs... I don't know if I'm any where near my target yet. I should fill the car up but if I leave it tonight I can get another NSD. I don't think I'll manage to get through tomorrow without it though!

Right leftover risotto for dinner. Last night's risotto was amazing! Mmmmm. I used butter and actually put parmasan in it and it beautifully creamy. Mmmmmmmm!
