It was Sooooo long, I couldn't transfer it all over before MSE logged me back out so either the messages need to be shortened or I need to move faster!!!! Maybe I was trying to be too clever by inserting my paragraphs into your post so it made some kind of sense and not completely random but I give up! I ain't clever so do the best you can!!!!!(re #1084)
 I know just how you feel.... same thing just happened to me there... again! Pah! But I'm impressed you were doing multiple paragrapghy thingybobs. They scare me. I can only do what the wee tick boxy thing in the corner lets me do.

Shhhh, don't say anything to them, but remember that game you can play, where every-one writes a sentences, folds the page over and passes it along... I was kinda thinking I could get the mobsters to write my assignments that way... Shhh!

4...Okay I admit it, I wobbled over the blackmail thing for a moment but only because I imagined you sleep deprived and starving from the added pressure of the whole blackmail idea. Fun? Fun! Have you spent an afternoon untangling knots from a kite while a hyper boy tugs at it adding more and more knots? It's like painting the Forth Road Bridge!
Ok, let's get down to the challenge!!!

Aaaw not really, it's very sweet. Put me in mind of The Notebook, sad and lovely all at the same time.
Yeah, The Notebook! Though a little less sweet! Last night we said we'd put her to bed for him and he said "yes, yes, put her in a pond if you need to just take her away".:rotfl: To be fair, he's had a stroke so gets all his words muddled up! So I was trying to explain to Granny that he doesn't always mean what he says, he can't always frind the right words.

Hmmm, I'm not sure where the last few days have gone! Can you believe I found the lovliest little cafe which is also a second-hand book shop in my parent's town (uhm, it's not actually their town. They just live there.
), 2 days before I came home. It does lovely veggie dishes and is a sensible price (compared to the yukky chain place I usually go with my mum! In fact, it was while sitting in the chain place moaning about my toastie that I spied the cute cafe.) and you can browse lots of ancient books as you munch. Probably just as well I never found it earlier; I would have wanted to buy lots of books!
And I came back to Glasgow with quite enough! I had "borrowed" and "old" handbag of mum's while there (as mine is massive) and I got to keep that, as well as the matching purse. That stops my search for the perfect tan handbag!
I also came away with their veggie cookbook that has a massive section on telling you about all the possible veggie and vegan alternatives available and should now mean I have a handy reference book for those unidentifiable vegetable objects that ocassionally appear in my veggie box!
And this yoga book, which means I don't have to think about what yoga routines to do - I just have to get out of my bed and get them done!I also borrowed another of mum's yoga novel's and got her old yoga bag as she has a new one.
And for the walking marathon I have her waterproof trousers which are the same as the ones I got (briefly) - but they don't leak!! And some gators and other waterproofs just in case!
As well as a lovely watch and scarf from their holidays as a thank you for doggy-sitting. So I have been thoroughly spoiled!
I almost needed a new car to get all that back to Glasgow!
I had my first session of the IPL hair removal today. It takes less time than waxing and is less sore. And we got loads done. But if you are at all prudish and like to maintain [STRIKE]some[/STRIKE] any dignity, then be careful when chosing which areas you would like hair removed from!:rotfl:

Welcome Home Nic. Sounds like you had a great "shopping" trip
and that cafe sounds fabulous. I love quirky places. There is a place in Haverfordwest (a pub really) that is a great cafe/restaurant with lots of new age folky things to buy. I love going in when I am working down there.
Thanks for the lovely words on my thread. Feeling a little bit overwhelmed with stuff at the mo so dont feel like posting on my thread. Happy to post on others though so you dont get rid of me that easily.
How long to the walk now? Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -
There are 13 days until the walk! My calf muscles are still tight from wearing wellis walking the last two weeks! (Though to be fair, my calf muscles are usually tight. It probably means I haven't been doing enough yoga!) I'm less concerned about being able to do the walk as I'm sure adrenalin and the sheer amount of people will carry us through the night. I am concerned about being able to walk like a normal person in the days following the marathon!
I've raised £165 so far for cervical cancer, so with gift aid, that should take it to around the £200 mark.
Transferred money from pay account to bills account. With the new D/D for the IPL coming off, I expect it to be £15 short for the month... but I'm going to play it by ear as the bills account is the one most of the rounding down payments to RBS come from, so it'll probably work out ok. Excpet for my impatience in paying off the RBS!
Lodger's rent will take spending account back to 0 and I've halved the amount I've spent on cashback credit card this month, so I reckon I've £100 tops to put to any over payments this month (providing I don't go out or do anything!) Which is a pity as an overpayment of £108.32 would take me to just under the 2k mark!
There art two cardinal sins from which all others spring: Impatience and Laziness. Franz Kafka
Oh b*gg*r! I may be in trouble... :rotfl:
Saying that, I received my annual statement for the RBS loan... this time last year it was sitting at £10,657.85. It is currently sitting at £2,386.36 with another £288.05 due of on the 2nd September. So that's £8,271.49 paid off in the last 12 months! :A That's an average overpayment of over £400 a month! (Though 2k of that was very much helped by a tax rebate! Still, that takes it to an averge £230 overpayment a month - which, if I can keep it up over the next 4 months, is RBS gone before christmas!) :j
Which might be handy as my friend and I were discussing the need for a cheap holiday in January! We found a week in Portugal for £82. Somehow we had one of those mad budgeting moments they have on Location, Location, Location, where their top end budget suddenly jumps up 50k to get the luxury farmhouse in the home counties... next thing we noticed we were pricing a week in the Gambia! (£500)
I should state we have not booked anything. We are further investigating!
Back to work tomorrow. Course work is where it always was! Whoops!
Thus I'll have a rather busy fortnight! Which is bound to put paid to my current relaxed look (my friend noted I looked "nice" and "less tired" than normal when I met her. That's what a fortnight in the country does. Now... how many days in the city to undo all that good work...)
Maty - looooovely to see you. It was faaaaaar too brief!Thank you for tea and cake and I hope you had a lovely family affair and made it safely back home! xx
