I can't believe the free-loading attitude of some people

I legitimately use the Royal Mail Special Delivery bags for... (shockingly) sending items via Royal Mail Special Delivery. I use everyone I order for this purpose!

Last time I ordered some quite a while back I just got one pack of each size knowing they would last me some time.

I ran out of the two smaller sizes some time ago and finally got round to ordering some more today only to be told they can't send any to a non-business addresses (i.e businesses registered with company house).

So at the moment im paying out for extra packaging cause a bunch of freeloaders without a justifiable right to order them decided they wanted something for free despite no intention of using them for their given purpose.

I would say shame on them but I know its likely these people have no shame (otherwise they wouldn’t have ordered them in the first place). I bet its the same people that moan when postage prices increase on April 2nd.

Thank you to these boards for promoting such activities!

  • I called Royal Mail today and was given another telephone number to call for this service:

    0845 600 0690 option 1

I told the lady who I spoke to that it was for ebay and she took my home address, asked how many boxes I wanted, which size and if I wanted any address labels or dispatch books too so if you call this number, you can still get the free bags over the telephone.

    Thanks, Lisa.

    100% agree with this.

I'd even go so far as to say this thread should be removed. Ordering these bags for any use other than to send items SD is tantamount to fraud/theft.

you got lucky, some RM reps ask for a K number address,.

they are claiming down on this, and i dont see why some people are ordering bags when they dont need them?? freebie culture !
  • Called them today and because they feel the system has been abused, you now have to register your business with them and then you can call back 24 hours later to order any items. This service apparently was only ever meant for business users. I am self-employed working from home and they allowed me to register so i don't think it is correct that you have to be registered with Company House.

Have to agree that ordering any old tat just for the sake of it is pretty pathetic and messes it up for the rest of us.
  • I tried to get free stationery from Royal Mail, but because my business is run from home and not from a shop or office I was told I could not get any.

I've never abused the royal mail special delivery bags - infact I don't think I've ever seen one - but I still appear to be at risk of not having my mail delivered or at best having it delivered days/weeks later!!!!!!!!!
I think I'll go and abuse some bags - they can't scare me -lol!
