I can't believe the free-loading attitude of some people
I legitimately use the Royal Mail Special Delivery bags for... (shockingly) sending items via Royal Mail Special Delivery. I use everyone I order for this purpose!
Last time I ordered some quite a while back I just got one pack of each size knowing they would last me some time.
I ran out of the two smaller sizes some time ago and finally got round to ordering some more today only to be told they can't send any to a non-business addresses (i.e businesses registered with company house).
So at the moment im paying out for extra packaging cause a bunch of freeloaders without a justifiable right to order them decided they wanted something for free despite no intention of using them for their given purpose.
I would say shame on them but I know its likely these people have no shame (otherwise they wouldn’t have ordered them in the first place). I bet its the same people that moan when postage prices increase on April 2nd.
Thank you to these boards for promoting such activities! :mad:0 -
Yes actually, I'll be moaning when they increase the postage. I used to work for the PO and let's just say they're not exactly short of cash. Postie's wages don't go up at the same rate as the postage prices...
And no I haven't ordered any special bags. Myself I would blame the Royal Mail for getting tight about sending them out, not people who use a money saving website:TProud to be dealing with my debts :T0 -

Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0

I work at Post Office.
If you go in Branch and ask they are free if you use the special delivery service only and depending on the branch or postmaster they may give you a few but there have been problems of people abusing the service as Special Delivery is a service that goes totally seperate from the normal post people have been trying to use the envalopes for normal posting as in free packaging trying to cover the special delivery part with lables or turning bags inside out and it creates issues especially security ones as like I said a Special Delivery Item goes in a sperate van and when an envalope that says Special Delivery is found in regular post it cause problems and if it is delivered with the normal post it looks like Royal Mail are not doing there job correct.
Special Delivery is Royal Mail courier service for Items of urgency importance or value. Where as standard post covers you for just £34 and recorded delivery is a signature and you are covered for upto £34 there in a 1-2 day delivery aim for standard post first class with Special Delivery we can get it there by 9am or 1pm the next day and is tracked the whole way get a signature on delivery and you can insure yourself against consiquencial loss as well as to the value of £2,500.
So pop into branch and ask. There in 3 different sizes but must only be used for Special Delivery Items prices begin at £4.30
By the way i know I can not spell!!!!0 -
