i escaped the law, or it escaped me lol i did end up in a profession almost as bad though lol

please can i join this? strangely enough i don't 'go' shopping for toiletries, i don't enjoy shopping for them but they just fall in the basket. Oh and i've trained my relative that i'd rather get one bottle of sanctury body wash that a whole toiletry set. but then to be fair i do have exzema and there's not much which doesn't make it worse. I did join a use it up challenge when i first joined here in 2006 and went 18 months without having to buy anything other than deodrant, and though i've fallen off the wagon, some of the stuff i have in the cupboard was around then.
One of the things i must really get to grips with is a facial routine and moisturising properly (ok that's two things)

    Evening ladies :)
My word, you lot do some amount of chatting when I'm not looking!:rotfl:
I've been really busy the past few days and have been having really quick in and out showers, so no real progress on depleting the stash. I received a gift yesterday evening (FCUK Pure Weekend Bag that's a fiver in Boots at the mo) for helping my dear friend who's just separated from her OH move into her new place over the weekend. I didn't have the heart to tell her I was involved in this, so I've gave it to DD to gift to her friend who has a birthday coming up in a few weeks. My friend will never know, my bathroom is like a shrine to FCUK products :(.
I also 'accidentally' got rid of a 3/4 full bottle of Tresseme shampoo by leaving it in the showers at the uni pool this afternoon. No great loss, it's been in my gym bag for months and I didn't really like it in the first place, hopefully some poor student will nab it!
Going for a long hot soak in a mo, my skin feels really tight from the chlorine so will need to get out the big guns I think, my Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil which hasn't been used since I was in Crete last year might be an idea. A good excuse also to use up half a tub of BS Cocoa Butter Body Butter too, which I've really fallen for in a big way recently. This is the worst thing about swimming, it really plays havoc with your skin :(
Hope you are all well and enjoying all your lovely products to the full! :D

DH and I do massage each other three times a week (Fri/sat/ sun). TBH I'm really lucky as he massages me much more than I him. :o
Yes, you're definitely extremely lucky. My bf gets tons more massages from me than I do from him!

  • Used a shaving foam up today, boring I know, but at least its one thing less...

Question: I have a shower gel I forgot to count. It only has a couple of showers left in it, but have been saving it as I know my mother likes it when she showers....should I just use it and bin it to get it out of the way?

A couple of people on here have mentioned Rosacea (spelling?). I'm wondering if that's what I've got.

My face has started to go bright red and blotchy looking in cold weather, hot rooms, and when I drink alchohol. It's only happened recently so I haven't done anything about it.

I use clinique on my face and have bought some of their redness solution moisturiser to try, but can't see much difference. What do other people use to cleanse, tone and moisturise, and does it help with redness?

    Thanks.:)

No7 Calm Skin serum is execllent for sensitive rosacea prone skin. HTH.

People on this thread (me included) seem to be making almost daily trips to the shops. It's literally what I do with my spare time, like a hobby. Anyone have any ideas on how to change this routine?

I used to spend Saturdays in the city centre shopping but then I started working there... and now I see enough of the shops Monday-Friday I couldn't face them at weekends!!! Do something interesting - walking, going for coffees with friends, cooking, baking, poking around charity shops (technically still shopping but not the same as mass market retail hell), reading, going to the cinema, listing stuff on eBay etc etc.

I'm currently plodding through a bottle of Palmers Cocoa Butter extra rich formula for stretch marks (nope, no idea why I bought it - oh yes it was on the clearance shelf at £1 :rotfl:). There are probably about 4 uses left in it but knowing my luck it will stretch out to about 10! I'm annoyed that I didn't just eBay it instead if opening it. It is not luxurious, it smells minging and I can't wait to finish it and start on something nicer! WIBA: Now let me think... :rotfl:

:) we are lucky aren't we? I think men get a pretty raw deal really, they don't know whether we want to be loved and protected or supported and respected....as confused as lots of omen are really, about what we want ...:(.

I think there should be more praise for great OH's/partners. :)
