That's such a lovely post, thank you:) I didn't mean to sound like I don't like living alone because I do. I seem to be more productive in the evenings. If I have free time in the mornings I tend to go to the shops and for a coffee. I probably spend less time shopping than people who spend every Saturday afternoon in town but I think it would be good to stop the almost daily trips. Tesco and the post office are in my local shopping centre so any trip can easily become a visit to Boots.
I never impulse buy because I know I can easily come back tomorrow if I really want the item.Total debt 11/1/2011 €5350.65Total debt 12/12/12 €3222.31CrazyClothesChallenge 2013 #006 €34.08/€5000 -

Definitely a habit and a really difficult one to change. I like shopping more than other things I could be doing. Anyway I'm off to bed. Looking forward to catching up with this thread tomorrow:)Total debt 11/1/2011 €5350.65Total debt 12/12/12 €3222.31CrazyClothesChallenge 2013 #006 €34.08/€5000 -

To add to having an ear infection, I now have an eye infection . Just wondering if anyone can help me work out a way of taking my mascara off without making it worse???!
With your eye infection if you put some baby oil or eye makeup remover onto the back of your hand and roll a cotton bud in to it, then gently roll the cotton bud over your eyelashes, once you have "rolled" a couple of times, throw the cotton bud away and use a new one till the mascara has gone. Use a seperate one for each eye or the infection will spread!
I hope it soon goes. x8 months to go till end of the IVA :j:rotfl::T0 -
It's hard reading what products you all like, it just makes me want to try them and I'm desperatley resisting the urge to spend. I do need a whole set of new makeup brushes because the ones I have are ancient. I've looked on ebay but the good ones are way out of my price range. I'm nearly tempted to buy a cheap set, which has to be a million times better than what I'm using atm
There is a great website http://www.crownbrush.co.uk/ for makeup brushes. I know they are perhaps a bit expensive, but they last such a long time and makeup goes on much better with a good brush.
I have had some for over 5 years now and they are still like new. You won't need to buy lots, perhaps a foundation one, a big powder one, a blusher one and a couple of eyeshadow ones. Depends on what make up you use. I have the above and also a contour brush, which puts eyeshadow on really well in the crease of your eye and a brush for blending in eyeshadow They are great. Maybe worth saving up for. HTH8 months to go till end of the IVA :j:rotfl::T0 -
Morning ladies
Nothing used up today, update on my mascara which caused a reaction; I phoned Boots CS and they have refunded £11.50 worth of points onto my Boots card.
I do need a mascara as I only have a GWP small one, I am going to Boots today as DD has said she would like the Dove deodrants which will be free as I have vouchers and also look at what mascara's are on offer.
I am also going to buy Soap & Glory face cloths I have had them before and will use them when hubby and I go to Glastonbury.
I never had decent make up brushes and then I invested in the Smashbox ones and I find they are fab, I purchase mine from sellers in America on Ebay, I think you really notice the difference when you have decent brushes and as joesaunt advised you only need a few that you know you will use. I love my foundation brush as you can get into all the nooks and cranny's and application looks flawless.0 -

conversley I have a mixture of cheap and v. expensive bushes, and for some things prefer cheap brushes! My foundation, and mineral foundation, brushes are expensive, as i my powder eyeliner brush, certainly the very soft and good foundation brushes are without doubt worth it to me. I have a couple of dear eyeshadow brushes, but most often use cheapies. I used to by sets on sale after every christmas. That way I can have some for pale matt/dark matt/pale glittery/dark glittery all on the go without mixing or washing to often (I find brushes take an age to dry and its a chore I put off..0 -

Excellent post!!!!!!!I too love having time to myself, and having the house to myself for an evening/weekend is a particular treat. Wish OH would go out more without me (who are these women who don't let their OHs out of their sight, how claustrophic that must be!).
Mags30, you don't know how lucky you are :rotfl:

I'm the opposite! I don't always assume that it'll be there tomorrow if it's in Primark/TK Maxx/a sale, as it never is! I have learned this from bitter experience lol. So I'll buy it, then return it if I don't want it. Primark have recently brought back their £5 cardis, and I bought 6 the day I saw them, as I knew there'd be none left the next day. Sure enough...rosemary54 wrote: »> > For several years, a man was having an affair with an Italian woman. One

Well done you! You inspired me to ring up Tesco CS and ask them to apply 120 points to my CC from two receipts as the unhelpful CS person in my local store told me that they were 4 weeks old and could not be added! He also added an extra 200 points as an apology, yippee! So thank you for the reminder.
Have you thought about trying one of the 'sensitive' mascaras next time? Or do you reckon this was just a one-off reaction? Hope you get a good bargain anyway xoGet to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs
