Well done you! You inspired me to ring up Tesco CS and ask them to apply 120 points to my CC from two receipts as the unhelpful CS person in my local store told me that they were 4 weeks old and could not be added! He also added an extra 200 points as an apology, yippee! So thank you for the reminder.

Have you thought about trying one of the 'sensitive' mascaras next time? Or do you reckon this was just a one-off reaction? Hope you get a good bargain anyway xo

I think it was a one off Tara, I usually use Blinc or Dior, but thought I would try a more affordable brand. Will have a look in Boots and see if they have anything on offer.

What do people wash their make up brushes in? I've seen the proper stuff but I'm not convinced normal shampoo etc would work? My foundation brush is great but a bit cacky!

Question: I have a shower gel I forgot to count. It only has a couple of showers left in it, but have been saving it as I know my mother likes it when she showers....should I just use it and bin it to get it out of the way?

I hate having bottles with a little bit left in so personally I'd finish and bin! Do you have something in your stash she could use next time she comes?

I use either a mild shampoo or a clear facial cleanser. takes a few soapings and rinsings. I tend to put some dilute shampoo/clenser in a pot, pile in all the brushes to start ''cleaning'' themsleves in the soap, then rinse and if necessary re soap and rinse one by one in running water. I see no point in a proper product tbh. Its such a boring job though. DH quite likes it...novelty ...and gets excited when the water runs clear

The last mascara I bought was L'Oreal Voluminous Mascara. It seems to be the least hyped of the range (and the cheapest ) and was tucked away at the bottom of the stand. I've been really impressed....the best in the price range out of Maybelline/Rimmel and a No7 one I've tried recently (£6-£8m ish). Have got a mini No 7 one to use....not impressed and as Kaz said, stupid rod thing instead of wand....

....thought these would last me til the end of the month, but doubt it now. A new one will take me over Feb's budget but it is essential and I've got some Ebay toiletry funds, so am in profit for 2010 atm anyway:T
Despite liking the L'Oreal one, I can't resist trying Tara's recommendation for the Superdrug one, so £1.95 won't be too damaging to the budget!
  • I've got 16 items ending today on Ebay. I'm not looking forward to the Post Office, but at least they'll be out of my stash.

I used up a Toni & Guy mini boost it mousse today, that I've had years. It's ok but I won't need to buy again for ages as I've a few mini products that are similar to get through, and I like to try new stuff all the time.

I've also brought a bag of stuff into work for "Donate don't Dump" week. Stuff I will never use so it's better off going to charity.

I use liquid soap. I've never bought the brush cleaner because the bottles are huge and I don't clean (or use) most of my brushes very often. I use my fingers to apply foundation.

    Morning ladies

Nothing used up today, update on my mascara which caused a reaction; I phoned Boots CS and they have refunded £11.50 worth of points onto my Boots card.

I do need a mascara as I only have a GWP small one, I am going to Boots today as DD has said she would like the Dove deodrants which will be free as I have vouchers and also look at what mascara's are on offer.

    .

I hate No7 mascara and it costs almost as much as the excellent Lancome ones. For cheaper Boots brands I recommend Rimmel Glam Eyes or Max Factor Masterpiece max. They are both close to false lash effect though so if you perfer the natural look don't buy them.

I've just realised I missed some punctuation - oops:

    I meant:

What do people wash their make up brushes in? I've seen the proper stuff but I'm not convinced! Would normal shampoo etc work? My foundation brush is great but a bit cacky!

    Having a blonde moment obviously!
