really thick question coming up please dont all laugh at once:o
could someone tell me how to subscribe to a thread please?
im a hoarder
we have 100's of dvds ~(as well as 100s of videos DH wont get rid of the videos but we have most of the fillms again of dvd - they have been moved outside to huge boxes in the shed) im as bad as well as my toiletery stash there my book stash, my wool stash, my embroidery and needlework stash.:o
we have tons and tons of board games so usually spend so long deciding what to watch or play that we run out of time to do either
my DD did say to me last weekend whe we were going through piles of colouring pencils and feltpens "why do we need so many ones of the same colour?":o ive adopted a 2 sharpens and you are out rule with the pencil crayons ie if that break stright after sharpening they get another chance and if the same happens out they go. i threw a carrier bag of felt pans away last week just because theyd dried up through lack of use.
thanks to this thread and the declutter thread im hoping to get on top of it.SPC~12 ot 124

I hate how all the time you get a clinique bonus time or a No7 gift there is always a mini mascara in them (oh and in no7 case a mini handcream)0 -

He loves really nice smellies: and has absolutely NO trouble using them up (again need rollyeyes) but this one is a definite no for the future. His favourites are Davidoff Cool Water and Armani He and I love both of those so I can't wait for him to finish the Diesel and move onto those:j

Ooh, *intrigued*.
DS1 is 14:o He has been into these sort of smellies for a couple of years now and so are most of his friends so it must be the wind of change:D.
Actually, I rather like it. I was expecting a war about getting them to wash, clean hair, etc., in their teens but both of mine are very fond of a wallow in the bath and love really nice smells:o"there are some persons in this World who, unable to give better proof of being wise, take a strange delight in showing what they think they have sagaciously read in mankind by uncharitable suspicions of them"(Herman Melville)0 -

A bit of a timely reminder actually to those using laptops on their laps for prolonged periods whilst wearing a fluffy dressing gown...ie ME!!!
This can block all the ventilation holes on the laptop and cause overheating, it should be used on a tray or similar hard surface apparantly. Am I the only daft bat who didn't think of that??0 -
I am having a day off today to study for an assessment next week so I am staying in all day. I am having a small sample of Liz Earle's smoothing line serum which I am wearing as a moisturiser today (it says you can do this on the tube) and it's ok but I cannot wait until this has been used up. Line serum to me seems a waste of money. No toiletries challenge, started 18/1/2010 - Putting £1 in my savings jar for every item that I use up. Pot 1 to 4 = £261. Pot 5=£23
Boots points:£39.21. Extra money in 2012:£674.59. In 2013 £603.48. 2014: £85. 2015: £0 :j0 -
My mum was a massive hoarder and our house was packed to the rafters with what I would call junk. My parents had nothing, and my mum cleaned in a shopping centre so she used to bring home what the shops chucked out. Now I'm the complete opposite, I'm always giving stuff to charity shops to keep the clutter down.
I do have too many clothes (cos my weight is always up and down) and too many toiletries, just because I love them, and that's it. The reason I love toiletries is the smells, I love gorgeous smells, and have to buy them.
Like a lot of other people on here, I've realised now just having them is daft if I don't use them, they'll just go off. One thing I do use constantly is perfume, and I love it on other people too, unless it's the really strong overpowering stuff. But we all have different tastes and even that's better than someone's BO isn't it?Mortgage to clear asap! - [STRIKE]£148,874.38 [/STRIKE]as at 1 May 2013£79,176.55 May 2018£59,516.06 July 2019November 2020 £35,914.620 -

No. Cats do the same as dressing gowns, apparently, when they sit by lap tops. Mine know that my laptop is warm on the right side and DH's is warm on the left.0
