Erm, am hoping this doesn't work :rotfl:
This is the unopened and hoarded away stuff...doesn't include the 30 or so bottles of stuff in the bathroom (or the hand cream, make up and other bits in my bags/at work !)

    S8301248.jpg

The gift boxes are totally unused apart from the obligatory sniffing and stroking!

Ooh lovely stuff and presented so nicely too.:) I have just been through hell trying to fit all my stuff back in its place again. I am exhausted now. and its all my own stupid fault and I will never buy another toiletry prouduct as long as I live. I have put my photos on my mobile to remind me of what hell looks like. May have gone a bit too far there, as lynzpower says its not a loss its a gain:o

    Hi all!

I have been sooo busy sorting through stuff to put on eBay, and have also chucked a couple of makeup items - an old Botanics lip gloss which STINKS and isn't very nice (no idea what I paid but it must have been fairly cheap, so I'll say £4), a Primark silver mascara which was totally crap (£1) and a few random samples of things which have dried out as I never got to use them :o (say a nominal £1). So I'm off to put £6 in my savings pot and update my sig!

I've also sold another item on eBay and have 2 things ending tonight, so will update my total tomorrow. I'm thrilled - someone paid me £6.50 for a ROC eye pen that I paid £2 for in Semi Chem, yippee! :rotfl: salesaddict, are you listening??

Right, off to catch up on all the pages I've missed! I may be some time xoxo

I'm listening Tara but I'm too knackered to move.:)
  • I understand that Kaz, I have a thing about scrubbing brushes, I can look at one but to use one makes me feel sick and hearing one on carpet makes me physically shudder and I have to leave or get whoever it is to stop sharpish, it's very bizarre, I have no idea where it comes from!

How odd; I can't stand brushes on carpet either, didn't think it was something anyone else had a problem with!

I'm astounded at the stashes you guys have. Thankfully i've not really bought many toiletries but i empathise with the buying stuff to have & not use. My entire desk draw of pretty unused notebooks is testament to that :p Packs of pens/pencils arranged in rainbow colour order too :o
Anyway, youve motivated me to use that body shop gift pack i got a couple of years ago for xmas which i was saving for no reason whatsoever!

What i actually came on this thread to do was ask the experts for any advice on face moisturisers. I get dry patches on my cheeks but spots on my chin so nothing too oily :)

Vicster, I hope your ear is better soon :(

salesaddict, WOW thats so much stuff I just don't know what to say!! I saw the pics earlier and have been thinking about it all day since. I think your massivley brave for posting though :T My stash is nothing at all like that and if I'm honest I think I'm just starting :o I gave up smoking 3 weeks ago and since I'm permanantley looking through offers, grab it forum... etc. I think i've dumped one habit and started another. Trouble is I'm so skint I just can't afford to get into something like this right now  It's not gonna be bad for my health but maybe my relationship!!

Vicster you have just posted pics as I'm typing and I scrolled down and saw them :rotfl: Good Lord Almighty Woman!!!!!!!!!

Luxor you've just given me a great idea... I'm going to behave myself and save up for my own bottle of No5 :T it'll give me a goal and a big reason to put some money away in a tin. Thankyou :T

Melonade, whatever happens you keep right on with keeping away from the cigarettes. I watched my father in law die of lung cancer caused by smoking and it was evil.
I don't know about brave to post my photos. But certainly bloody stupid for accumulating so much in the first place. I am never buying anohter toiletry item. I may have just said that in another post. But whatever, I really mean it. Don't you be as daft as me. Just keep fighting it:o

Someone please give me a kick. I have been sat in front of my laptop for the last hour and a half trying to compose a complaint letter to nails inc/Debenhams. I've been putting it off for six weeks and I just can't concentrate or write what I want to say. :(
Time may be a great healer, but it's a lousy beautician.... :/

@salesaddict i spent ages looking at those photos. I’m loving them. I own loads of the same products but there are plenty i don’t recognise too.
just to make you feel better, loads of those products are from boots and were most likely purchased with vouchers, etc. yes you are right mags. I never buy any thing unless its on special offer. I am so heartsick tonight and pi**ed off with myself for the sheer amount that i have that i am never going to buy another thing as long as i live.:(there’s a lot of dove/nivea/herbal esssence which aren’t very expensive. I’m inclined to think that if you were to add up the cost (probably not possible, they’ve built up over years, it’s not as if you have the receipts) it wouldn’t be that frightening. I remember i was saying in another thread about my friend who spent over €80 buying no7 at full price and had only 3 products or something for the money. She’s spending more than we are.
you should display some of them on a bookshelf in your bedroom because they look really good in the picture
    • tommy guns shampoo smells gorgeous they do, they were a £1 each in tesco's clearance
    • where’s the soap and glory? Do you not have any? i don't like the smell of a lot of their stuff
    • is there a perfume collection? a few but i have never really been into perfume
    • are dr nick lowe products any good? I’ve never tried them to be honest i have never really tried them:o just used them a couple of times so far.
    • i should have shown the photos from all angles. I have lovely aromatherapy associates stuff that i am now going to use every day.
    awaiting the wardrobe pics:rotfl:
i've got 5 more pages to read (trying to catch up on twitter too) i'll be back in a bit:coffee:

    thanks salesaddict :j

I'm sorry to hear about your father in law, it's a tragic thing to watch someone you love go through this awful illness. Smoking is such a silly thing to do but like any other addiction is a hard habit to break. It's silly to carry on doing it... specially since some of my family members have died from lung cancer and never smoked a day in their lives!! My family are amazed tbh and all of them said if anyone would never stop it'd be me, they have been waiting for me to fail :o Anyway I've done it now thankfully.

Lynz is right about it being a gain, you've got some fabulous products to get through and the amount of money you'll save will be astonishing if you can keep to not buying anymore ;) Do you have a goal? Something you'd love to do/buy/special holiday? Mine is a bottle of Chanel No5. I never have enough money to buy nice perfume so it'll be a real treat :T

    Good Luck with everything :j
Do you have a goal? Something you'd love to do/buy/special holiday?

I've been reading your other thread in debt free wanna be and don't want to give you any excuse on the buying lol... so I was thinking more along the lines of a car, new kitchen, luxury bathroom, small mansion?
Even if you stumble, you're still moving forward.
