I am addicted to LUSH, I have so many bath bombs etc, and spend far too much in there. I can't walk passed without going in, i'm like the bisto kid but with smellied rather than gravy!Then elsewhere i buy far more bubblebath, shampoo, and eyeshadow/liner that I will ever use!. Have cut right down, but still have far more than I need.
Long Haul number 207 :j
Back on the train again after a monumental bad time in my life..... :T0 -
welcome welshangel, first thing I did was get everything out/together and do an inventory of what I've got, so I know how many showergels I've got, how many body butters etc, I then took a photo to remind me of all the lovely things I've got (I sometimes look at it when I feel tempted to into boots, sounds quite sad really but whatever work eh?) And when I run out of something I can replace that thing.
And I've set my challenge for 3 months and I'm going to see where I am after that, a whole year or until I've used everything seems to long for me!
Unsuscribe from the various websites that send you offers, avoid the toiletries in th supermarket and stay out of boots lol
Good luck x*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!NSD Jan 2/150 -
Hello all the new girls! Welcome aboard!
I almost had a slip up today. I was in Boots getting mum's prescription and checked the kiosk to discover the boots recycling scheme had 'paid' me 3700 points for the 3 phones I posted them. Seeing as I lost my card the day of the 75% off sale, my previous points have been untouched and I now have just under £100 worth of points!! I have NEVER had my points balance this high before and the old excited stomach started as I got prepared to treat myself. It took a lot of effort to walk out with nothing. I have now gave OH my advantage card and reckon I will put that money towards next Christmas. I am going to make a concerted effort to avoid Boots even when I do need toiletries, as I think all the points, vouchers, BOGOFs etc just make me accumulate way more than I need and probably spend more in the long run. I'm onto their marketing at long last!
Will try and use semi-chem or whatever for toiletries I need or even just get them in with the monthly shop.
DD is at a gig tonight and OH is at band practise so it will be peaceful bath time for me soon, and Sunday night is 'good stuff' night so will probably get tore in to either S&G stash or FCUK Pure stuff (all of which I own in abundance!)
Need to do my nails too, I have a meeting with my advisor of studies tomorrow about a summer job he's recommending me for in May. Really really want to get it! Face is looking calmer now too so should be able to go back to my Olay Total Effects too, only 3 tubes to go!!
Woohoo! just checked my ebay and have sold a BS Body Butter and a bottle of CKOne. Total ebay sales this month so far- £108!!Come ride with me, through the veins of history...
I'll show you how God falls asleep on the job.

They had enough product in there for a few goes but I can't stand it when bottles only have a bit left - it feels like they're cluttering up the place. Some of you make bottles last for years - am I the only one that gets bored of things after a while then uses a large amount of product every time (even though it's wasting money) just to get rid of something quicker?
<SNIP>
Clarins Beauty Flash Balm: I had this tube for years because I always forgot to use it, so I am now covered in a really thick layer of it to use it up (it does say to apply a thick layer for an intensive mask). WIBA: No, it's alright but doesn't do anything amazing for me. I think somewhere I still have a smaller tube from a GWP to use up too, I'll try to remember to use a thin layer of this every now and again.
<SNIP>
Naked 'Sea Minerals in the Buff' body scrub: Bought this on sale. WIBA: No, I find it a bit 'boring'; it's ok at moisturising, but I'm not keen on the smell and it doesn't feel very pampering.
Me too - I'm using my current shampoo in great handfuls now partly because it doesn't lather much and partly because I really, REALLY don't like it much!
I'm relieved it's not just me who doesn't really get on with beauty flash balm - I've never noticed it makes any difference to my skin at all!
The shampoo mentioned above is also from the Naked range - I can honestly say I won't be tempted down that line again when the products I've got are gone.CompletelyLost wrote: »<SNIP> I like your drawers <SNIP>

Hello ladies!
Can i please join this thread?
:hello:
I am terrible at stockpiling toiletries. I have 14 full bottles of perfume, and I dread to think how many body lotions and goodness knows what else!
I think I'm addicted to Boots, I can't walk past without going in and buying stuff. Drives OH absolutely mad - he is complete opposite.
Really need to stop! It's costing me a fortune. I have an entire spare room with a dressing table and stuff stacked up - that doesn't include stuff in my bathroom. I'm trying to use it up but everytime i use something, it's as if something reappears! Do get a kick out of finishing a product tho!Saving all my pennies0 -
Mind I will have to venture into Boots at some time soon as I dont have any anti-wiff other than the one I started this morning. I'll do it on a day I'm feeling strong.:drool:
If you print off one of the Dove go fresh vouchers Sainsburys have it at 2 for £2 at the moment so you can get it free (the voucher scans at £2.79 too so you get a little off anything else you buy) - there is also a Boots offer which may still be running but I think some people have had problems getting Boots to accept the vouchers.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Treacle Moon Raspberry bubble bath/ shower gel: WIBA: OHH YES YES YES. I love my fruity stuff. This and the "I love" range are my favs.
Treacle Moon Raspberry body scrub: WIBA: Yesss....... unless I find something better. It was really nice and left my skin smooth as a babys..... Tho being a tube it was reallly hard to get the last bit out (and I am not obsessed enough yet to cut the top off when there is a stack of other scrubs to be going thro...... hey I just found one I remember buying in 2005!!).loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
