Don't lose your frivolous side will you?
I'm uncovering it steadily as I get older: since reading the Shabby Chic threads I have gradually painted my furniture cream & covered everything with flowers...Oh, and I'm typing this wearing Chanel No 5I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
SalesAddict, you have some lovely things, I hope you enjoy using them, don;t feel bad about the amount. I probably have the same amount of stuff too!!!
Have to agree with this and offer another angle
One of the things in my job is that I do ( in part) house clearances. People throw so much stuff away. Occasionally I happen upon something I need for the house or whatever and often I find things that are brand new. recently I found 3x crabtree & evelyn handcreams still in the paper bag from the shop, untouched. I saved these before they went in the binThis was like a little bit of treasure
Anyone who has a real stash HASNT GOT A LOSS- they have to view it as a GAIN - that is that because I have this trove of supplies I DONT NEED TO SPEND MONEY ON THIS FOR X AMOUNT OF WEEKS. Therefore it is SAVING me money in the future. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

I think S&G call it a sudsy puff?) and that's enough for my whole body. It lathers up so much that I can completely cover myself in suds with that much product. I always point the shower away from me whilst I'm lathering up, maybe that makes a difference?
Or maybe I'm just a smelly tramp!
Snap. probably about the same amount I use but I don't have a shower so stand up in the bath to wash then sit back sown to rinseI use a scrunchie thiny too :T

They had enough product in there for a few goes but I can't stand it when bottles only have a bit left - it feels like they're cluttering up the place. Some of you make bottles last for years - am I the only one that gets bored of things after a while then uses a large amount of product every time (even though it's wasting money) just to get rid of something quicker?

You're not the only one, I definitely do this too! Then I stroke and smell all the lovely thing I have put away and don't use them. Clearly I'm an idiot! :rotfl:

Erm, am hoping this doesn't work :rotfl:
This is the unopened and hoarded away stuff...doesn't include the 30 or so bottles of stuff in the bathroom (or the hand cream, make up and other bits in my bags/at work !)
The gift boxes are totally unused apart from the obligatory sniffing and stroking!I want a perfect body, I want a perfect soul, I want you to notice when I'm not around0 -
Hi all!
I have been sooo busy sorting through stuff to put on eBay, and have also chucked a couple of makeup items - an old Botanics lip gloss which STINKS and isn't very nice (no idea what I paid but it must have been fairly cheap, so I'll say £4), a Primark silver mascara which was totally crap (£1) and a few random samples of things which have dried out as I never got to use them(say a nominal £1). So I'm off to put £6 in my savings pot and update my sig!
I've also sold another item on eBay and have 2 things ending tonight, so will update my total tomorrow. I'm thrilled - someone paid me £6.50 for a ROC eye pen that I paid £2 for in Semi Chem, yippee! :rotfl: salesaddict, are you listening??

I can't decide the best way to go about using up my products. I usually only like one bottle of each type of product open at a time, but I'm thinking that with the MB bath gels I might be in the mood for a different scent each day; the only problem with that is that it will take 5 times as long to get rid of a bottle. Also, I always use my least favourite products (ie the cheaper ones usually) first, saving the 'best' til last, but I'm worried that I'll end up dying before I get to use the ones I can't wait to use.
I so know how you feel I do the same. Trouble is that I then put the good ones away, then forget that I've got them so buy more!! Once I get them home I feel gulity so hide them around the house. Sadist thing of all is that I live one my own so really I'm hiding them from myself:o:o:o. But I must admit it feels a real treat when I come across things I've forgotten0 -
Welcome IndianGirl
Vicster, I hope your ear is better soon
salesaddict, WOW thats so much stuff I just don't know what to say!! I saw the pics earlier and have been thinking about it all day since. I think your massivley brave for posting though :T My stash is nothing at all like that and if I'm honest I think I'm just startingI gave up smoking 3 weeks ago and since I'm permanantley looking through offers, grab it forum... etc. I think i've dumped one habit and started another. Trouble is I'm so skint I just can't afford to get into something like this right now  It's not gonna be bad for my health but maybe my relationship!!
Vicster you have just posted pics as I'm typing and I scrolled down and saw them :rotfl: Good Lord Almighty Woman!!!!!!!!!
Luxor you've just given me a great idea... I'm going to behave myself and save up for my own bottle of No5 :T it'll give me a goal and a big reason to put some money away in a tin. Thankyou :TEven if you stumble, you're still moving forward.0
