Queen, how is the eBaying going?

I'm listing stuff as we speak...nothing major, just things that will hopefully fetch a couple of quid here and there :)

I really didn't know whether to post these images. Not even sure if these links will work and in a way I hope they don't.
I am so ashamed of myself. I don't know when I turned into this person.
The worst of it is, I can't even say hand on heart that I won't buy anymore.
I think I need to get myself some therapy, and no, don't worry, this time I don't mean retail therapy

    ((((hugs))))

Definitely start making up pamper hampers as gifts for birthdays and Christmas, you will not need to spend any money on female pressies for 2 years minimum! This will save you ££££s.

eBay some of it, there are bound to be unopened products (some opened products sell quite well too).

The rest (the stuff you love the most) is yours to use up! Have fun xo
Thanks to everyone for the welcome :) .

I can't decide the best way to go about using up my products. I usually only like one bottle of each type of product open at a time, but I'm thinking that with the MB bath gels I might be in the mood for a different scent each day; the only problem with that is that it will take 5 times as long to get rid of a bottle. Also, I always use my least favourite products (ie the cheaper ones usually) first, saving the 'best' til last, but I'm worried that I'll end up dying before I get to use the ones I can't wait to use. However, if I use my favourites first, then I'll be sad when I can't get any more because I'm stuck with the others. I've had a lot more in the past but I'm good at giving away products to my family on a regular basis (eg I used to get sucked in to using Boots vouchers to get cheap products, however I just got products because they were cheap, even though I didn't really want them - all given away now, and lesson learnt, I now don't use the vouchers because even £1 here and there is £1 gone on a product I don't really want which I'm stuck with).

I am just as bad with perfumes (I have over 20 expensive ones  ) and make-up, in fact I'm worse with make-up (eg I have 60-70 MAC eyeshadows :o ); I posted photos on another site a couple of years ago which I still have somewhere, but I can't be bothered to take new ones. Again, it's all 'premium' brands and worth a shocking amount. However I came to my senses with that a couple of years ago and I don't buy it as often now (avoiding make-up forums has helped). However, make-up takes a long time to get through and apart from a load which I gave away, I haven't managed to use up much at all.

    WOW.

Try using up your least fave stuff during the week and the best stuff at weekends, that's what I'm doing and it is working well so far.

You must have a fortune's worth of makeup - 60-70 MAC eyeshadows eek!

And you are right on the vouchers - £1 is still £1 and if you waste lots of £1s on crap that could buy you something good! I am going to have to remember this with all the Boots vouchers that I usually go mad for.

Have to agree with this and offer another angle :)

Anyone who has a real stash HASNT GOT A LOSS- they have to view it as a GAIN - that is that because I have this trove of supplies I DONT NEED TO SPEND MONEY ON THIS FOR X AMOUNT OF WEEKS. Therefore it is SAVING me money in the future.

    ;)

This is the thing I try and tell myself at the start of this challange I was close to tears thinking of all the money I have wasted. It did really upset me. Now I'm still finding more things around the house and am now trying to store the things together, and tell myself it will be years untill I have to buy anything.
I am finding that I am starting to use up other things around the house since starting this challange. Has any one else found this:) 3 big bottles of washing up liquid 6 of bleach under the stairs as theres not enough room in the kitchen!!!!!!!!

Mind I will have to venture into Boots at some time soon as I dont have any anti-wiff other than the one I started this morning. I'll do it on a day I'm feeling strong.

Most of your stuff looks so new! Just looking at these pics made me wonder... am I the only one who would have to dust off (I kid you not) some of my stash to photograph it? :o :rotfl:

Nope - I would too - thats why I havent done one !!

You lot who are putting pics up are so brave - and the others are quite right - the prices of the things you have will have only gone up since you bought - so think how much you will have saved by not having to buy them.....

everyone is doing brilliantly - ((((hugs)))) to you all !!
Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup

some soapand glory bits, a couple of empty s&g boxes, a couple of bottles of perfume, some no7 P&P, DG light blue body cream. 14 items in total listed today, gonna start on the shoes and boots tomorrow, and maybe some clothes later in the week. Don't know if it'll sell but I've started everything at 99p and we'll see how it goes :)

  • Ummmm......:o In a word, ISH!

We did go to the Boots clearance I spent almost the same as last time - £7 - spent in cash again - Yay me! :A - and got the following:

Full sized S&G Peachy Cream body butter
    mini S&G Clean on Me
mini S&G Calm one, Calm all
full size Trevor Sorbie long hair conditioner
2 x Botanics eyeshadows that fit my fill-it-yourself palette
full size Boots mediterranean Lemon orange & Grape shower gel
No. 7 nail varnish top coat

    snipped

Sounds like you did well...I'd have been much less restrained. Did you go on public transport or drive?
(honestly, it's at times like this that I wonder why there is no "hyperventilates in excitement" smiley!)

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: that had me laughing out loud! I'm glad you got some nice pressies from your friend, funny how excited me get about those things isn't it, I'm the same!

I'm pretty sure it's about the same amount!! I will be brave later and do a piccie! I'm not really sure when it all started, I know I didn't have many 'nice' things when growing up, so I guess it may be partly to do with and the fact I have my own money. I think I probably have an obsessive/addiction personality type...I used to be obsessed with buying food, sweets chocolate and stuffing them in secret :o. Now I'm trying to lose some weight so my obsession has moved to buying nice toiletries. I'll buy if I'm happy sad, feeling ugly, feeling good. Am anxious to find out what the next obsession will be so I can stop it!! Then there's the buzz of getting a fab bargain! I certainly couldn't pinpoint one particular moment. Possible manic-depressive tendancies? I do hope you are able to pinpoint something so you are able to beat this and enjoy all your lovely things :)

Wow, this sounds exactly like me, think I am going to have to subscribe to this thread too x
