    Welcome newbies!
So my outs today are: 1/2 tube nair. WIBA: NOOOOOOOOO! Gave it to Sil as she uses it. I hate the stuff. I hate the smell, I hate the feeling, I hate the fact that I have to get out of the bath and stand shivering when I'm waiting for it to do it's thing. I hate the fact that it doesn't do it's thing very well etc (I think you all get my drift!)
Virgin Vie under eye something or other. WIBA: No it was poo. I flung it in the bin in disgust.
1 packet of cotton wool used up. WIBA. Have a 1/2 open pack which I'm on now and 2 spares in the cupboard.

I also sharpened and started using a Virgin Vie fat lip pencil thing. I got it for £1 a few years ago. I like the colour over lipsalve or vaseline but wouldn't buy it again (if it's still available) because you waste so much when you sharpen it. It just snaps off.

Interesting Kaz fact: I hate cotton wool. I can just about stomach using the circular pads now but any other form makes me gag. So does sponge. DH thinks it's hilarious....."How can you be a nurse when cotton wool makes you gag?!" Erm, I don't go near the stuff dear!

ETA: Oh for frilly white ankle socks. Oh and sandals! Yup, no frilly bits for me either when I was growing up.
    Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.
    MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.
    2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.

Nearly bought a No7 night cream this morning, from a car boot sale! It was the brand new "light & luminate" stuff, and she only wanted £10, so half price on the £20 Boots ask for. Would this have been fake stuff? Anyway glad I didn't get, still got a fairly full No7 night one, and saved a tenner :A

Glad you resisted mandymoomoo. There are loads of fakes out there and if you have stuff in supply, then you didnt need. Go you! :T

Well done EssexHeb on such a tiny spend at Boots. Go you! :T

Someone earlier (sorry I cant keep track) said that they have about £100 in Boots points. How about using these to buy electricals such as a new camera? Hair-dryer? Electric toothbrush? :A

Well I got frustrated with a load of bits and pieces I was struggling to use up and have packaging them up to take to my sis and also my neice.
    - Body Shop cocoa butter lotion - smell was too strong for me.
    - No7 Protect & Perfect - hand cream, mini size. Not impressed.
    - Avon mascara - off to my niece, tis still sealed. I only got on with Max Factor so why risk upsetting my eyes? It was a freebie anyway.
    - Set of Boots 17 lipglosses from xmas. But I still have loads and my neice needs cheering up, so off to her.
    - Liz Earle mens shaving cream (shh dont tell him). Off to bro in law. Theres plenty of other shaving cream and this has been knocking around for ages.
    - Colgate with whitening gel total - yuck, triple yuck, makes me gag so off it goes

Right that's cleared out quite a bit. I will need some bubble bath to refill a really large pump which I use to wash my hands. Mmm, its gotta be Waitrose who do a whole load of other Waitrose essentials smellies:

Evening ladies and welcome to the newbies. I hope everyone has had a good day. No purchases for me again today. :o
The problem comes when either they are stockpiling stuff and then just leaving it in the cupboard "to have" rather than "to use"......
...if I read good reviews on something I have to have it - I won't stop thinking about it until it's mine (to store away and forget about - as long as I own it I'm happy!).
These quotes are very interesting to me and seem to describe my behaviour. I think often I buy things simply because I feel the need to own them. :undecided

Just looking at these pics made me wonder... am I the only one who would have to dust off (I kid you not) some of my stash to photograph it? :o :rotfl:
Errr, in a word no. Some of my stash is probably now of historic interest!!! :rotfl:
Time may be a great healer, but it's a lousy beautician.... :/
  • I understand that Kaz, I have a thing about scrubbing brushes, I can look at one but to use one makes me feel sick and hearing one on carpet makes me physically shudder and I have to leave or get whoever it is to stop sharpish, it's very bizarre, I have no idea where it comes from!

No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!

Also, I like your drawers - I have been looking for plain white ones for ages but can't find any!
I have some similar storage drawers I bought from Argos which I use for some of my stash. This is just an example, but there are several different types of units with either three or four matching drawers in black, white or silver and others with different sized drawers: http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/8753366/c_1/1%7Ccategory_root%7CHome+and+furniture%7C14417894/c_2/3%7Ccat_15701246%7CStorage+and+shelving%7C14417975/Trail/searchtext%3ESTORAGE+DRAWERS.htm

I've also seen similar drawers in Wilkinsons.

    Hope that helps. :)

  • well done mineallmine for getting rid of stuf that you're not going to use :j and to mandymoomo for staying strong at the carboot when no7 was calling out. Everyone is doing so well, it's so inspirational :A

I don't know how much longer I can resist: essential Waitrose cinnamon cakes bath 750ml 99p and essential Waitrose cinnamon cakes body wash 250ml 99p. I defo don't need any body wash but I am down to my last bubble bath (but it is no where near finished cos I've only just opened it) Mind you we've only got a tiny waitrose in the city where I live so chances are they won't stock it anyway.
Infused with warming cinnamon and spicy notes, this body wash will keep you glowing throughout the colder months

I do make myself laugh, I've got a stash full of S&G, burt bees, No7 most of which I really like...and here I am battling with myself over a 99p shower gel :rotfl:I'm bloody crackers!

First of all what it WIBA?

secondly, I get asked how do I cope being a nurse when I have a wet paper phobia! Easy, just dont use it, or when I really really have to dont touch the wet bits! :P
