Exactly the same for me, too. £60 is a drop in the ocean compared to my usual spendsAll of my purchases this month were considered, even the ones that weren't necessities.

BT, I'm I the only person who manages to streak using gradual tanners? I'm pale, but seriously, I thought these things were meant to be subtle!
Nope you aren't - my ankles looked like little orange footballs the first time I tried it (my ankles always swell when I fly). Anyway the pale teenagers I know all rate Garnier which I tried and quite liked. And it doesn't smell like digestive biscuits which is a big improvement on the Johnstons IMHO...
Not that I'm saying you should go out and buy something you understand...;)0 -
I forgot, I also managed to finish off a gum hair re hab milk (would like to buy again but it appears to have been discontinued?) and an olay daily radiance cream (wiba? probably not)I want a perfect body, I want a perfect soul, I want you to notice when I'm not around0

Notmanaged to use anything up today but have packed in my toiletry bag, the mini TS shampoo & conditioners. I will leave them at my sisters when I come back. I also have a mini shower gel or 2 in there whicch I aim to use up while I'm away.
When I finish work in the morning I will be driving straight up there. I'm leaving DH & the kids at home and he will be finishing work early to pick them up Monday and Tuesday. My 2 go to a very well to do CofE school. It is populated by yummy mummies and ladies that lunch etc. Most people are loaded etc etc. DH (in his infinate wisdom) has taken my 6 yr old DS (clever & quiet) to the barbers and got him a mohawk .
The school are going to think I've left him cause I'm not picking the kids up for 2 days and he's done that to DS :rotfl:.
I shall have to turn up on Wednesday to fetch them like this:cool:.

I thought you'd all like this. DH and I were having a bath in my mother's bathroom last night when he pointed up at the shelves at a bottle and asked when oil of Ulay had changed its name to Olay. we feel better about our own hoarding now....0

Hi everyone. Am loving this challenge! Have used a few things up and thrown away a Boots tinted moisturiser which was far too dark for me and smelt funny. Still, I considered keeping it!
The other day I was talking about perfume with a colleague and I said I was not allowed to buy any, even though there were some great (50% off!) deals on as I had about 15 bottles I'm trying to use up. My colleague was amazed, he said most people have one, then when it's finished, they buy another one. Really?!?
Today I'm about to start using a Clarins face wash, usually I would keep it for years, (as if it's too good to actually use it) using the cheaper ones and then it would go off. Madness!
Keep up the good work everyone!Clothes challenge 2011 £254.08/£500!!!Toiletries challenge 2011 Trying!:j:T:j0 -
Did buy some goodies from Boots yesterday.. I'm such a sucker. I was watching a recorded hour of Mally Beauty on QVC and found myself admiring the lipstick duos. Not enough to order them, mind, so I have learnt something after all. Weighed myself and found that I had lost another 2lbs bringing me up to my 10% loss. Got a call to say my contact lenses had arrived so headed into town to pick them up. Anyway was instructed to take 15minutes outside before seeing the optician again and found myself in Boots. Stupid stupid Boots are offering a £5.00 No.7 voucher with purchase of £5.00. At first I was going to be so good and just get my Soap and Glory Sugar Scrub which I love and was on offer with a third off. Was planning to get this with my points and then I also saw a jar of Elle Body Scrub reduced to £5.00 so I got them both. However when I got to the till they don't count redeemed points as purchases anymore and then the blummin Elle scrub came up at £3.33 so I had to go and spend a bit more to get the £5.00 voucher to buy a new lipstick (yes, this was what it was all about in the first place - stupid QVC - and by the time I was in Boots I had justified the spend as a treat because of my weight loss). Ended up with a couple of travel sizes of Soap and Glory Flake Away and Hand Food. And to top it all I'm not sure I like the lipstick now I've got it! Aaaaaaarrrrghhhh! x
Saying that though I really spent £10.81 and I am presently on my last tub of body scrub.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

That's just weird! Maybe people did that in 1950, but not now, surely  I do want to use up my perfumes and diminish my stock, but I can't see myself ever having less than 3 or 4 on the go at one time - I like some variety, and can't imagine wearing something heavy in the summer, or floral in the winter, for example. I suppose there are some 'signature scent' people out there, and its different for them?0 -

I did have a friend who used to do this, she was quite proud of the fact that this was 'her' fragrance and the only one she wore for years. I would be so bored with this. I think her hubby used to think I led her astray in more ways than one; getting herself a selection of perfumes being the least of them!! I like a variety to suit different occasions, times and moods.
I used to buy one at the airport to wear as a holiday perfume each time I went away, which means certain fragrances evoke memories of certain places! I haven't bought or asked for any as gifts for a while now, to try and use up a bit. I ebayed a couple I'd gone off, but am probably ready to treat myself to a couple more.
I'm lucky in that DD has a good selection too so I sneak in her room for a quick spray several times a week (Probably why mine are going down slowly!!)0
