Have finished a mediterranean lemon rosemary & walnut handcream. I would buy it again, but can't, since they've axed it :rotfl: Never mind, that's what stockpiles are for
Moving on to a No 7 Younger Longer hand cream, since its the smallest hc I've got, and I'm sick of using large sized products that never finish.
ohhhh i think thats one i have on the go it is gorgeous!!!! i have to sit there just smelling my hands for AGESS after. (OUCH just ebay searched it...... cheapest is 99p with £2.20 p&P...... and a business seller..............£4.99 with £2.20 p&p............ think i won't be replacing that either!!!!!!!!
lol got that one on the go too!!!loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
I finished a few things this week. A body shop moisturiser and a concealer.
Had a bit of an up and down week this week.
Bad: Firstly OH fell at work and went over on his foot so was off work for a couple of days.
Good: Finally ordered a new kitchen which i've wanted ever since we moved into the house almost 9 years ago plus we got it on 3 years interest free credit!
Bad: Came on on Thursday and found OH trying to find out why the heating wasn't working. He has found out the problem but it is still not working so i'm banished to the lounge in front of the fire. Hopefully should be fixed sometime next week.
Bad: OH installed an update on one of our desktop computers on Thursday and it hasn't worked sinced.
Good: The flat we have which we will be renting out as a holiday let just got awards a 5 star rating by the tourist board.
So 3 bad things and 2 good things - if the universe is keeping things balanced then we are due one more good thing.
And hopefully Monday or Tuesday i will hear if i got the promotion i applied for at work so i've got my fingers crossed that will be our last piece of good news.
Sorry for babbling on off topic.
Hopfully will use up another moisturiser in the next couple of days as only have dregs left in the pot.
Hugs to you loopylu, sometimes the phrase "it's our turn" seems just not right. Fingers crossed for the promotion. And another good thing is the stuff you're using up. :ADeclutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage
:cool2: Cherryprint: "More stuff = more stuff to tidy up!" Less things. Less stuff. More life.Fab thread: Long daily walks

Thank you i really want the job but am worried i messed up the interview and didn't really sell myself. Without blowing my own trumpet i'm one of the best in the department and would be fantastic at the job. There are two positions and i know for definite that 3 people including me interview for the job (there be one more but not sure) but one of those is currently on mat leave on not due back till Sept and they want the people to start in the next week so i'm not sure i can see that happening as i think you have to give quite a bit of notice before returning early from mat leave (unless she has already done that on the quiet). I know one of the 3 of us will definitely get one job as they are currently doing the role unofficially at the moment.
Ahhh :eek: sorry for babbling - at home alone this weekend as OH is doing double shifts!!0 -
Is this carrying on into March!!0

Hi haven't read the posts for the past few days as I decided to go back and read from the beginning of February (I'm at page 35 I think lol).
I managed to go to Boots yesterday and top up my phone. I did linger and contemplate buying either some sanctury stuff to get the freebie or some no7 for the same reason but I resisted as I probably have a stockpile of both which could match boots:rotfl:I did however get the £5 of No7 voucher as I had spent £10 topping up my phone and was considering just binning the voucher as I really don't need anything when I read one of the earlier posts mentioning the No7 moisture gloves. So when in town today with OH I got a pair of gloves for £1 having used my voucher. I was soooooo chuffed with myself as normally I would have just spent the voucher yesterday without thinking and probably another £17 just to get the freebie and it would have just been added to my stockpile, but this way I saved money, still got to buy something with my voucher and got something to help me use up some of the supplies I already have :T
Have done an inventory of my make up and nail varnishes and I have 28 nail varnishes (not including base coat, top coat or cuticle protections). I have 14 eyeshadow trios, 6 eyeshadow singles and 3 eyeshadow creams, 10 eyeliners and 11 mascara - and I don't even use mascara and I know I have already given loads of mascara away to my mum, sister in law and neice:eek:. I also have 19 lipsticks which have been used at least once and 17 which haven't been used at all, 5 lipliners, 7 lip gloss (again I gave some away last summer to my neice as I don't really use them), and 2 lip salve. Finally I have 9 large tubes of foundation and 5 small tubes. Phew at least it is all colours and shades that I like and use so although its a huge stock I won't need to buy make up for about 5 years. I also gave my neice soem eyeshadow palates and some blusher which I was given as freebies last summer so it could have been worse. OH was killing himself laughing when I was counting it all out and inventorying it (it was all bought before I met him so no financial admonishment) and couldn't believe I have such a selection. He thought this challenge was a great idea and is monitoring all my toiletry purchases now. Wait til he sees the stockpile of toileries he he he.

Also I won't be buying anything for a good while because my dog is off to the dog doctor on Monday for a little op that is going to cost me a fortune... god I love him  So I've kissed goodbye to the jacket I'd almost saved up for and the epilator I was planning on buying lol.
Hope you're dog is ok Melonade...I'm sure you'll have the money for your jacket in no time:hello:No more toiletries challenge :T

I managed to take three things back to Boots. :A They weren't overly helpful and wouldn't refund anything at all onto a giftcard. I got supremely red and embarrassed, but I swapped the bits I didn't want for some moisturising socks and a Soap & Glory back brush which was reduced. I'm still left with four handbag sized Frizz Ease though. I might try again another day when I have recovered.
Well done for taking some of your stuff back, and don't worry about the SA... Is there another Boots you can try with your other stuff?
I've taken some No7 toner back without receipt, I just said I didn't use it, and they said I could swop it for something else in the No7 range... Then this week I returned a No7 day cream (again without receipt) as I had a reaction to the night one, and they let me exchange it for anything in store. Maybe each shop has its own take on things?!!
So maybe you can try again in a different store, or different SA.:hello:No more toiletries challenge :T

Thanks mandymoomoo. I don't think it's a problem returning No7 items without a receipt as they are a Boots own brand range. However, everything I want to take back is branded bits and pieces like John Frieda, Charles Worthington, Sanctuary, Olay and Dr Nick Lowe.Time may be a great healer, but it's a lousy beautician....0

Hi everyone
I haven't bought anything or used anything up either. But I did have a rumage through my makeup bags and thrown out 2 Avon lipsticks and 1 Clinique Lipstick. I couldn't bring myself to ditch the Chanel lippy thoughIt's too dark and I probably won't ever wear it but I've got the matching nail varnish :rotfl:
I binned all kinds of other stuff that somehow ends up in the makeup bags!! Buttons, plasters, bobbles and a few old broken clips. Right I'm off for a bath and a read of my book
Byeeeee.
ps, Thanks mandymoomoothe dog is great and won't know anytings wrong until he doesn't get his brekky on Monday morning :rotfl:Hopefully I won't wait too long for the jacket... it's my new mission now
Even if you stumble, you're still moving forward.0 -

Thats a really good point and I think what people have overspent on has still probably been thought of a bit more carefully... instead of just impulse buying. I'm deffo guilty of that but since starting the challenge I've really had to think about if I need it more than I want it, and then I'll look more into what other people thought of the product too before just parting with my money.
So far I think it's just mouthwash and Conditioner for me next month, but I still have to have a proper look round the house to make sureEven if you stumble, you're still moving forward.0
